I've only gotten in bed fully clothed & forced myself to go to sleep during two K-State games ever & the Lafayette game was one of them.

Immediately after Jake's last game  :bawl: :bawl: :bawl: :bawl:

Kansas State Football / Re: A scenario that is concerning (maybe)
« on: October 30, 2012, 09:29:42 AM »
Why the eff is it concerning?  I would rather play KU in any bowl, including the MNC, than a good team.  An MNC or BCS bowl win is the goal, who gives a eff who it's against.  I don't cheer for a good game, I cheer for a rough ridin' win, and a blow out win.

So yeah, bring on Boise, or whoever.  Let's push their crap in, and polish our trophy.

The worse the opponent the better. If we don't make the Championship game I'm rooting for Boise/ Louisiana Tech/ any crap Big East team.

But BBS'ing with Alabama or Notre Dame fans would be so much more entertaining than Boise or Big East fans

It would be fun to have a 'does playing Notre Dame hurt the image of our program?'

I would have tons of fun with that.  Tons. Of. Fun.

Jordan Jefferson plays the QB for LSU IIRC.  Also, the The Chamber.

I have faith Sams will deliver some off field stuff when he gets the starting job, be patient guys
Judging mostly by twitter, Sams seems about the least likely to be a criminal other than maybe TLBL.  Did you mean off-field Bible studies?

I enjoyed that

Oh man. How bad would we beat that K-State team now? Im guessing 55-7. We were just so awful. Little did we know  :bill:

Worse.

Will, Shane, O-money and Gip are going to look good because of their high BBIQs.

Gruds & Tay will look solid.

What in the world has Will shown that makes you think he has HBBIQ?  Are you implying that Gruds doesn't? Pro-tip: Gruds has just about the HestBBIQ on the team. Limited athleticism or BB skill != HBBIQ.

The easiest indicator of High BBIQ is an understanding of an offense to a level were you get your teammates the ball in areas for them to score. Gruds has never been a good passer. Gruds did show growth in his ability to find his own shot last year.

Will and Shane have all ways shown the best understanding of are offense in the last couple years. This is why Will played a lot as a freshmen and why Shane took over as stater a couple of years ago when we added  the pin wheel offense (He picked it up about as fast as Jake). Will also was a best defender when dealing with screens because of his understanding of the game. This is one of the reasons he played so many minutes last year when his offense confidence and game was completely shot.

"Limited athleticism" - this is also far from true.
Bolded part seems like a better indicator of being a good passer IMO.

A huge part of BBIQ is putting yourself in position to make plays. Being in the right place at the right time is not usually an accident, and McGruder is incredible at this. Will's fantastic 2.8 APG are great and all, but mostly he has shown an ability to pass the ball as soon as he gets it or dribble back out away from the basket.  Do you really think he does a really good job of getting it to people in places they can score?

!= means not equal to, fwiw.  Will and Gip are certainly limited athletically compared to typical high-major guys. For Gip, it is his height and conditioning, and for Will it is the fact that he is one of the slowest, least physical guards in the Big XII. Shane is a good athlete, and I honestly have no idea about EMAPE.

If Oregon loses, we are a lock. Better in the Human polls, and by the end of the year we will be better in the Computers. Not worried.

That being said. A Fiesta Match up with an undefeated ND team would be an okay consolation prize.

What if that happens, Oregon wins, we blow out ND, and split the polls for #1?

NATIONAL CHAMPS!

Apparently the "pedestrian" wasn't a pedestrian at all. There was a party near by and he was crap faced and went and laid on the highway. People from the party were trying to tell him to get off the road and he chose not too.

I always envisioned watching the game at a friend's house in MHK and when we win running to Aggieville no matter what the starting point is.

the xavier sweet 16 strategy

Exactly what I did. Fortunately I was living at 1111 Vattier.

12th and bertrand, it was literally like a crowd running from all the houses toward the ville

awesome night

Yeah, pretty great. Started at 17th and Fairchild. What a joyous mob.

I started at Juliette and Vattier!

It didn't seem like Tre's injury was that bad. DON'T RIP ME but when I used to play ball with him a couple years back he was a bit of a girl about any kind of contact. Undoubtedly he's toughened up since, but he could easily overreact to a sprain. He's just kind of emotional like that.  Take it for what it's worth.

if we win mnc then we can cancel sports and shut down the school for all i care.

Had serious discussions on Saturday night about completely giving up being a sports fan after winning the MNC.  It could not get any better after that, so I think I'm for it.

Win Crystal Football and they can make Catzacker the coach for all I care.

Can you imagine the pressers?

Quote from: Coach 'zacker
Well, you know, I'm really concerned about the Jayhawks this week.  That Heaps kid is really good, and they played the University of Buffalo really tough last week before losing in the 4th quarter.  I don't think we really have a chance this week.  Daniel has put up big numbers at quarterback in our first 6 games, but it seems like it may be smoke and mirrors.  He'll probably throw 3 interceptions and fumble a couple times.  Actually, eff it, I'm just going to call Charlie up and tell him we forfeit.

IMHO K State is much better this year than last.

OSU is weaker.  The main difference is OSU is much easier to defend in the red zone because our outside receivers are average at best and our freshman QB is good but not great.  Weeden to Blackmon caused safeties to shade to his side which opened up the running game.  Also our O-line isn't as physical as last year.

Defensively we are stronger at D tackle.  But our negative turnover margin is a return to the norm so to speak.

Really enjoy your board.

OSU 28
