I've thought they were useless for a very long time. It's really tough to see matches, they just don't have the availability. With men's and women's basketball, they play more games but there are enough of them televised and spread out throughout the week where you can see plenty of matches. There were no matches on ESPN+ yesterday. Today has a good amount but there's only 5 on Thursday and 7 on Friday. This gets worse when conference play starts. It's just too difficult to watch enough teams and matches to have a clue as to what the best 25 are. I think the RPI is flawed, but once it's running it's a better indicator of where the teams should be.

Only 12 scholarships, so 13-15 is a good range. After that, you could argue it's too many.

KU carries 19, Iowa St 20......13-15 hasn't been "normal" for years.  Many athletes will take "earn it" opportunities at P5 schools to be part of something potentially special.

VB kicks off their non con schedule on Friday.  Interesting roster this year.  1 setter a she's a true frosh.  Find another P5 in that situation.  Student manager sets the other side in practice?

I always wonder if players like Ty Lockett would have went to KU, which he was considering, and how that would have affected his future.

Who’s that RB who transferred to V Tech from KU who was RB2 at KU and got drafted after he left, while pooka is on the practice squad now? The school you choose really matters for some of these players futures.

Tyler was never for a single second considering KU.  They were the chip he needed to get the offer he wanted.

I don't want to risk another one of these threads getting moved, but these sports teams, if we believe them have positivity rates astronomically higher than the general public. The positivity rate right now among the general public is like 15% right now, and many of those are unvaxxed. If we are down to 7 players that's a rate of 56%, seemingly astronomical for a group of people vaccinated. They shouldn't be isolating for close contacts if they are properly vaccinated.

Or maybe the test is BS?

Is that who you've been sitting on? She's a freshman behind a sophomore who if she waited could take another year of eligibility. It didn't appear as if Ravnsborg was ever going to play significant time here. Good for her for landing at a power conference program. I'm assuming they recruited her out of high school

Yeah, she had a ton of options out of HS as well as the portal.  Very talented kid.

I think I hate the army of blue haired Nebraska volleyball fans as much as I hate their fat drunk football fans. They feel the need to try to explain the game to other fans, as if it's some crap specific to Nebraska, like Runza.

She's in the portal and the coaches are aware.  Many players don't advertise it while they are talking to other schools.  I believe you have to be NCAA affiliated to access the portal.

I'd guess their experience would be a huge advantage over Pitt & Louisville but all 4 have looked very strong.  Purdue is no joke & Pitt mauled them.  Lekotor is a blast to watch.
