Update from CU site(linked below) says we've offered Cannen Cunningham. He says KSU and UT are his 2 favorites at this point, even though UT has not offered yet.

That wasn't enough to stop Colorado, which moved to the Pac-10 last week in spite of Beebe's criticism that the league's "facilities and fair weather fans are a disappointment." It also didn't stop Nebraska, which moved to the Big Ten last week in spite of Beebe's warning about "linking the future with a part of the country that is losing population and tax base relative to the Sun Belt."
weird that michigancat missed out on all of this. michi's, you out there?

his postings would have been painful to read. trust me.
This says it's Tenacious D live, but it's in daylight. I wonder if micat wasted time with this. I like the D, but this sucks.

KMAN expanding on Fox Sports . . . saying Fox is looking for a long term deal, with a Fox TV Big 12 game of the week, NOT Fox Sports Net, but Fox Network TV Big 12 GotW . . . but . . . it supposedly also means Big 12 has to stay together. Also includes Big 12/Pac-10 scheduling alliance. They say such a deal would put Big 12 very near the TV payout levels of Big 10 and SEC.
I kind of think the BITB has it wrong. It's about sharing revenue not the stupid ass Rose Bowl. NU was the vote that blocked revenue sharing. Anyone we'd replace NU with would vote to share revenue. So if you're UT, do you stay in the Big 12 with a mediocre TV deal anway and share with a bunch of tards OR go to the Pac-16 and while you'll share revenue, you'll make a sh*t ton more money than you would in the Big 12 (or even if you "partnered" with the Pac-10 with some stupid scheduling thing). And if you're UT at any given point you can do whatever the hell you want and more wherever the hell you want (i.e. become an independent) if you think you can start your own network.
With "super conferences" they would be almost forced to move towards a playoff type situation anyway.
QuoteThey aren't legally bound to stick with Kansas State -- a Kansas board of regents member said as much this week -- but they're "unofficially" bound with the Wildcats due to political pressure. (Martin said that it would be "a crying shame" to separate the two schools, because he feels they co-represent the state.)

That's all talk . . . and we all know it. As stated . . . there's no LEGAL ties whatsoever.
It doesn't matter, 'Pad. Perception is reality.

OH MY GOD! WHAT IS GOING ON THE LAST WEEK. IT'S A BBS'ING DREAM AND IT ISN'T STOPPING!!!!!
Pretty solid lineup, but Bonnaroo has become so corporate over the years. It's not what it used to be, IMO.
only b/c the P10 listens to 810 and also had read Pete's post about the schools being connected. if it weren't for Pete and BITB, KU would already be in the PAC 10 or Conference Elite.
sounds like a blast rus. be sure to hook us up w/a "fb" gallery after.
^would prefer MWC than mega SEC. mainly because MWC will have a BCS bid and we will have a chance at winning it.
ya, mega-SEC would suck the big one
Hey, y'all, welcome to Tuscaloosa
'sup, bra. how bout these waves?
warm up the slot machines mother fuckers
Last minute and a half of that game was the first time I've seen Kobe not come through in the clutch, is he losing it?.(airball that artest rebounded doesn't count)He looked pretty clutch when he hit that 3 pointer in Grant Hill's eye to seal game 6 up against the Suns.
really? happens ALL the freaking time. I was blackmailed twice this weekend and just got blackmailed on the way to take a dump.
I guess Lew and I are very similar in being blackmailed by all the haters. <----- limestone but with weird kind of orange sunglasses and a floppy pith helmet/Gilligan cap.
Seriouly, man. It's his job to blow off reporters with bullshit. He's horrible at his job. Very small time. Typical Kansas stuff.
Seriously, who gets blackmailed repeatedly? I mean really.
seriously, who gets questioned about having been repeatedly blackmailed and then within five minutes tries to blackmail the reporter/station that was questioning him about having been repeatedly blackmailed.
What is the phog's excuse now that they can't claim we are holding them back?
I am perfectly capable of admitting that none of us have a clue whether or not KU is being seriously considered by anyone. I would suspect that Lew has planted KU as a part of many possible outcomes in several conference's minds. I can see legitimate arguments for KU in the Big10, Pac10, and SEC depending on how things play out. Fo rinstance, if the Big10 goes to 16 teams, but only takes 2 Big East teams, then KU could be a good 16th team. If the Pac10 tells Baylor, Tech or OSU "no thanks" then KU could slide in there rather easily. If the SEC goes to 16 and is unable to pry some east coast football schools, they may look to KU and one or two other BigXII schools because we can boost some basketball revenue and TV income when the football season is over.
But I am also going to just assume that Rusty doesn't have JayhawkSlant Premium.
