god has placed his mark on kstate fball's brow.  all the rest of this drivel is meaningless.

Wow!  Way to provide something of substance to the discussion.

i provided the only post of substance, dumbass.  you'll see that after you outgain kstate fball by 400 yards and lose by 3.

I had a house built. Nothing needs fixed. Nothing needs maintained because its all efficient new stuff.

what was your cost vs buying an existing house in the same area?

yeah, i agree.  spradling's original responsibility was the wing, and irving was calling his assignment to him.  but spradling has to be able to see that jones is running to the rim with no one near him and adjust to cover.

http://tlorc.wordpress.com/2011/12/12/kansas-state-defensive-breakdown-nearly-costs-them-the-game-against-north-florida/

looking at the screencaps and the vid, i don't completely agree with the analysis.  spradling shouldn't leave his man on help because he was on one of the best shooters in america.  gipson did hedge really high (too high) and samuels did get a step out of position inside, but the real breakdown was irving drifting into a position where the screener could remove him, when all he had to do was stay in front.  he could also have gone under the screen since williams is a poor shooter, but obviously kstate wasn't set to play under the screen.

i honestly doubt if williams could have split the screen even if irving had played all the way to the left of the pick.  but all he had to do was stay above it to force the driver a step out of his way so samuels could have recovered.

what someone else said about fixer uppers, I bought one and I hate doing all that crap and have ended up paying people to do most of it.

ok, but going in assuming you will pay people, do you generally come out ahead w. the fixer upper, building from nothing or buying a house in good condition that is halfway in the realm of what you like in terms of finish materials/layout?
location has a lot to do with it, there will be a ceiling on what any house is worth if it is not in a very desirable neighborhood

is there a rule of thumb on what the lot has to be worth to make building or upgrading cost effective?  assuming the cost of materials and labor is relatively constant across locations.

The major change in his game is that he's shooting a lot more 2 PT shots, over twice as many per game (7.7 per game this year, 3.7 last).

yeah, he's been better at getting shots than i expected.

I don't know how many more McGruds will shoot; he attempted 169 last year, which is a pretty decent number. Right now he's at 4.86 attempts per game, last year was 4.97.

i was thinking that he'd be around 200 attempts for the year, but even if he is substantially under that (as your stats indicate), he's been shooting more hard shots than last year.  perhaps that will change as defenses adjust to gipson, as samuels gets more minutes and shots and if/when irving/ar-t start to hit a few.

Good point. Its one thing to have a couple guys struggle with shooting, but Spradling is the only guard we have shooting well right now. McGruds, Irving, and Angel are all better (and likely much better) shooters than they have shown so far. Its reasonable to expect all of them to shoot at least 35% from 3, and for McGruder to shoot at least 40%. As is they have combined to shoot 19.4%. Its an amazing statistic really.

ar-t will end up btwn 30-35% this year and btwn 35-40% his next three years.  he'll shoot too often to get higher than 40%.  mcgruder will probably shoot too much to get over 40% this season too.

any time you can remove authority from above yourself, you should.

wake up to your police state, america.

ou isn't really bad.  at worst they are like isu last year, probably they are better.  osu has been worse than ou so far.

ar-t haters should keep in mind that it is hardly his fault that he's missing a few shots.  no one could shoot well in his situation.  Angel just won't shoot anymore, unless it's a layup.  It will be awhile before his confidence is back.  He had a beautiful stroke for the first three games (two exhibition games, albeit) but now looks uncertain.  There was another poster who thought that Frank's yelling had nothing to do with Angel's shooting, that it was the magnitude of the game and the improved competition that made him miss against West Virginia.  Baloney!  The two shots that he should have put down were WIDE open.  Both came almost immediately after he was screamed at by Frank.   Easy shots for any D-1 player.  He missed because he was tight and uncertain.  Simple as that.

they took cu and utah, apparently of their own volition.  the pac 12 doesn't exactly have high standards

living out in the middle of nowhere vs in town (not like a city area with lots of stuff to do/walk to, just lots of houses around and easy driving to stores vs 30 minutes to town)?

older house (20s-50s) vs 90s-00s version?

are there a lot of regional differences in construction standards/modes?  i looked at a couple of house here and they appeared to have been built by retards.

1. General poor lack of spacing offensively.

does the fball team's poor spacing also drive you crazy?  it's the same concept.

I was losing it when WVU went 1-3-1 on us and apparently none of our players could recognize the zone or have any idea what to do. (go to the middle of the zone- high post).

kstate's zone offense was fine.  more than fine.

I mean, if memory serves me correctly, there hasn’t been one juco make it to graduation under frank martin.

i think herrera might have stayed at kstate and graduated.  not sure it ended up happening, but i think that was the plan when he left the team.  hopefully watson will make it too.

kstate fed gipson in the low post yesterday in a way seldom seen in modern college bball.  are you complaining that they used more shot clock that you'd have preferred?

i thought kstate used a lot of martin's old o against wvu, but maybe i was confused from all of wvu's zone.

32420
where is the hate thread?

the teamangel thread is chock full of ar-t haters.

32421
Why all the Diaz hate? So he's not Gipson but he did some good things yesterday. Has a nice drop step, and unlike some of our bigs, seems to go to the basket without hesitation or doing everything he can to make an easy shot a difficult one.

don't get it either.  he's better than i thought he'd be.

agree with skipper on gipson, (would also apply to ar-t).  he's more polished than most freshmen as a freshman, closer to realizing his potential.  that doesn't imply that his ceiling is proportionally higher.

ar-t haters, please post your Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) thoughts in the ar-t hate thread so it'll be easier to link back up when it's time to lol at how stupid you were.
