I'm glad MSNBC is suspending him for this.

And you guys are complete dumbarses to actually think this corruption isn't happening on both divides. You pretend at least to be smarter than this.
Sean Hannity literally goes on the campaign trail for republicans and donated $5,000 to Michelle Bachman's campaign who appeared regularly on his program. 4 of the most likely candidates for the republican presidential nomination in 2012 are currently paid by Fox News as contributors. Two have or had their own television show.

Everyone losses with this. A major restructuring of our entire news media is imperative.

It's the hypocrisy that is funny with Olberman. I wonder if he will make himself "The Worst Person in the World!!!!" when he comes back?

Hannity makes no claims to be non-partisan. He readily admits to being a shill for conservatism.

The end of GE owning NBC may have some interesting impacts on msnbc.  The news division will no longer have to be a GE shill and there may actually be an effort, over time, to build some respect as a news channel, thus they will need to find ways to shed some of their big contracts/worthless personalities who would block that process.  Olberman may be the first one to be axed by execs looking for an excuse so they can make the change.

Resident dems either post yours, or others post ridiculous spinning excuses you hear. (Didn't pkg message right, America is racist, etc.)

Well, Obama pulled the famed Lakoff excuse - the Dems just didn't communicate well enough about how awesome they were (this from the greatest communicator that has ever lived according to the press).  Well, either that or Americans are ungrateful and stupid.

I prefer that the thought that the sun got in the eyes of the democrat leadership and they missed the ball... :dunno:

When I lived in SWKansas I'd make the 40 mile drive (1 way) at least once a week to eat at El Zarape.  I probably would have eaten a dusty turd if if was covered in their green chile sauce.

The last few years out there I made a switch to El Camino, it is rather spectacular (but different) as well.

When Zarape shut down a friend still out there was enraged.  His text messages made it pretty clear that he was gonna burn Garden City to the ground if things weren't corrected and fast.  He mellowed when he learned things were reopening.  I'll have to ask him at the game Saturday if he has hit the new spot yet.

U-Verse and Scripps went to war today.  No Food Network.  No Cooking Channel.  No DIY.  I've been trying to DVR all of the "Vanilla Ice Project" and now I don't know how the house is gonna turn out.  Gonna be some rough stuff missing Rob Van Winkle flipping houses.

an "accident" would be cheaper.

just saying.

And if the "accident" occurred while carrying out something "bold and daring" it would be utterly plausible.

I had no idea that Jesus Christ was on the KU team.  But there he was, sittin' in the team meeting at the 5:22 mark.  He looked a little pissed at Turner, sort of like "Bitch, you're given me a bad name, STFU!"

Last year against Texas we were completely lost in the half court offense for about 70% of that game . . . Bob was right, and LOL at all you people who think the stand around and watch the point guard dribble and then turn the ball over offense is effective.

I also fully expect the first 15 games and maybe more to be nothing but a series of text book lessons in how NOT to make a post entry pass.   We're already off to a great start.   Of course the cac entry angles our offense "creates"    doesn't help either.   I fully expect to see a lot of this  :ck:  as yet another entry pass goes careening about of bounds or over the head into the opposing teams hands.

Had a friend  :blah: the same stuff to me at a game last year.  Said he had been a coach so he watched for that stuff.  Said the ksu of was making him want to  :bang:.  I was  :nono: and informed him that because KSU is an all-elitey type of program in hoops they don't need to run an offense that helps them make entry passes and other basketbally stuff.  He was like   :horrorsurprise: until we  and he stfu.

Spradling looked like the best freshman out there. Not the most upside, but the most ready to play right now.

Agreed, don't get the "looked slow" remark

Anyone seriously trying to take anything out of this game, is probably better off re-watching the "midnight madness" scrimmage

Did you watch him on defense...he was blown by a lot.

I read your reply far differently than everyone else did.  I figured it meant that Sprads was truly was enjoying the "college experience" - but I also thought it might be wise to keep his sexual activities off of center court (at least when there is a game going on).

Looks like a 'tard tank to me.

Has to be a special ed section where they let them in up front to segregate them from the normal folk.  Surprised none of them are wearing helmets.

Damn. When I opened this site on my phone I thought this thread was entitled "Moat Disappointing" which sounded really bad a$$ to me. I thought you had some super secrety insidery sources that told you the new stadium improvements included a moat, pirannhas, and maybe a drawbridge if not a ballista or three. I thought KSU was going bada$$ medieval and some f-tards were gonna die if need be.

Would definitely give us an awesome homefield advantage if we could get the ag college/bio-researchy end of the school to genetically engineer some dragons to guard the endzone/wait outside the doors to the opposing locker rooms.

They should all face war crimes charges.

So the messiah is guilty of war crimes?

No.  These things only add up to torture (including not turning on the AC in 80 degree heat in Cuba) when Bush or a Republican is president.  When Our Lord and Saviour Barack Obama ascended to the throne he washed away all the nastiness.  Now these are friendly efforts and correction (you know, sometimes you got to play rough to show people just how much you love them ).

Any of you that disagree are just  :opcat:

Would hell freeze over if Iowa State played Baylor for the last Big 12 Title game?

I'd probably achieve full release.

Would be ironic if every north team went to the Conference Championship game before it ended - oh, except for KU.  Amazing how that happens.

would that offcially make us the most renegade atheletic dept. in the country?
OC = Mike Leach
DC = Leavitt
Towelboy = Mangino

So where does Majerus fit in on this one.  Is Mangino his towel boy?  (Oh, the imagery...) :horrorsurprise: :ohno:

Sam S-  if you continue to place your name and last initial at the end of every post, I'm going to shove my blackberry up your ass.  No one, I repeat- No one wants this, so knock it off.

Hey, no problem-o jt.  I'll get on that, pronto.

For such a "smart" place, there appear to be some seriously stupid people in charge.

It's actually a total myth that UND is a good school.  Basically it's a catholic juco.  Makes this less surprising.

Yeah, I knew that.  That was why I put the "smart" in quotation marks.

No way in hell would I be on a scissors lift in high winds.  I don't know how anyone "in charge" avoids a big hit on this one.

I've never been to any of those places. They may as well be located in a different country.

Dude, they are.

As IchabodCat, and I can help you here if you want to visualize it in your head.  They are just like Topeka, but flatter, dustier, with few trees, and much lower crime rates.

Hope that helps./

As someone with no horse in this race, but having once lived in SW Kansas for 9 years, the official ranking of SW Kansas cities.

1) Garden City - it is still a massive turd.  But they spackled it well and it looks sort of spiffy, for a turd.

2) Liberal - A regular turd, unspackled, seething, fresh and nasty.

3) Dodge City - A Mangino-sized mega turd.  Disease ridden, pulsating, buzzing with flies, and overwhelming the senses.  It is like the borg, and some will consume/co-opt all.

Hays - no thoughts.  Visited many times, but not close enough by.  Probably somewhere between Liberal and Garden City.

Thought I'd clear that up for everyone.

One more Pett:  Did you see the "first down" signal that got the flag?  I didn't see it and don't know if I've ever seen that called.  :dunno:

One of the few times I've seen it called probably cost KSU a game vs. OU and Stoops during the era of Snyder 1.0.

It was real BS then as well.

Fans were still coming in at kickoff. More than 11,000 of 'em were yet to get to their seats.

And I'm sure those 11,000 never made it into the stadium and found "their seats."

The KU attendance myth.  Where sellouts are giveaways (and you just can't give enough away to fill the place).

Penetrate, pursue, hit, tackle
Penetrate, pursue, hit, tackle

I'll f'n kill myself.
