i was hoping this team would be special but it's not.  maybe if frank sits me or something i'll buy in.

it was special because it was unexpected.  my expectation this year was to win the big 12.  i don't see us doing that.

franks teams get better over time.  they've been this way since he started.  momentum will be built and we will begin to see the glimpses of crap get less and less and the good spots get longer and longer.  december has traditionally been frank's month.

i don't think that every year, regardless of your talent level or experience, patterns should remain.  the starting point has to be different.

Remember when we lost to OSU in the OOD, and then when we had to play them in KC everyone was like "oh crap" and then we beat them by like 50?

As _FAN has pointed out numerous times, we're further along now than we were this time a year ago.

great game, didn't know there were this many MUtards out there, the sprint center looks decent.  i thought they were all out making wooden bowls and making and doing meth. 

damn slavers, nothing but MUtards.  i wish quin snyder was still there coach, that guy was a complete joke.  slavers can't shoot this well all night but i expect them to get a little home cookin' from the refs.  MUtards are going to be terrible at the office tomorrow.

we are the number 5 team in the country and still forced to say crap like this about our recruits 

this and we were on ESPN a bunch last year.

I came up with a hypothesis on why we lost to Duke.  Duke's a lot better team than us, on both ends of the floor, and from a coaching perspective.  They're the best team in the country for the second year in a row and one of college basketball elite programs.  I know we beat KU sometimes (go cats!) but they're better than any of KU's teams over the past 10 years.

we are good at forcing TOs and rebounding.  bad at defending the 3

3 PT% against us is a bit hight, but overall defensive efficiency is fine considering the schedule we've played.  .88 PPP is pretty good.

Where do our defensive numbers fall in line with other top 10 teams,  that is the comparison that is concerning me.

why? we're 6-1 with two wins of quality opponents and our only loss to the defending national champs #1 team in the country.  Why be worried about what the other top 10 teams are doing? We have a few more "resume builder" games left in non-con and a decent con. sched.

I don't get the being uspet/worried right now. If we get embarrassed by one of those resume builders, then there might be reason to be worried. Basketball isn't like football though, we just need to get a 1-4 seed and go into the tourney with some momentum.

I wan't to see this team compete for a national title, along the way we are going to have to beat 2 or 3 teams close to Dukes caliber if not Duke.  These teams are loaded with 5 star talent and great coaches.  In the Duke game we tried to go athlete for athlete with them like we do against everyone else and it didn't work and in my opinion won't work.  Frank made it clear last night that we will not deviate from our style of play, the question is can we execute this style of play well enough to beat the very best in the country?

this is probably why just watching it that it looks worse.  61 points to emporia state just seems high, regardless of pace. we look so good for spurts of time, then so bad for spurts of time as well.

frank's rotations are causing this.  overall, we're making a lot of the same mistakes, we're just making less of them.  new players learning frank's system.
