guys it's time to face the sweet chin music that the hayseeds from mississippi brought into manhattan last weekend.
our team is in a downward spiral of suck that we may not be able to recover from as long as "coach snyder" as some of you like to refer to him as, is in charge
i refer to this as a death spiral.  think about what goose/maverick got stuck in Top Gun, it killed goose and it could kill us (or has it already?)? 

 
then you have the jayhawks, riding a huge road win over central michigan, on the road, in michigan.  the country is talking about the hawks. now that they have tasted the nectar of victory, will they be enticed to be victors more often?  i hope not but i don't know.  maybe momentum is on their side.

i think we know the answer, sorry boys but the truth hurts and the cats are average at best and a 3 win team at worst but trending in the complete worst direction.
are we going to have this discussion every monday?  i hope not but we probably are because we're not good and the hawks are killing it right now.

hello fellow football aficionados, welcome back to a segment i like to call, "brett's bets". 
this segment includes guessing the score of our upcoming game versus Miss St.  they are the bull dogs.

ok folks, time to put our money where our mouths are and get to guessing the correct score.

ok wildcats, everyone knows i keep a dossier on each of our opponents, just little tidbits that i scrounge from the information superhighway.  it's all out there on the web, you just need to know how to go get it.  AND GO GET IT.

this week's dossier says that the wildcats will win a tight ball game on the gridiron.  a very tight one indeed.

speed, who loves it? me.  you.  we all do.  go cats. fastest animal in the world?  a cat. that's a fact.

i've just completed my annual analysis of speed across the big 12 teams.  included within my work is analysis of our ooc opponents speed.

what the work i've done proves without a doubt is that we have the quickest team in the big 12 at several key positions.  many within my inner circle have repeatedly said, clams- we have the most burners of anyone in the big 12 and our burner roster competes top 10 nationally.
i'm not a homer.  i refuse to award burner classification if there's even a sliver of doubt.

this year i'm going to use new classifications when describing burners, both on our team and on the teams of our opponents.
regular (87 octane), mid-grade (88-90 octane), and premium (91-94 high octane).

for example, alex delton is high octane, probably higher than 94 octane if i were to take him to my testing lab and verify the exact percentage.

teams that are lower than 87 octane in the big 12 are oklahoma, iowa state, baylor.  i'm going to refer to them as regular octane though because i don't want to disrespect them, but just know that their octane levels are much lower than 87%.

mississippi state has very low octane, sub 83% levels.  very slow.  no gas.  all ethanol.  bad for your engine.

if you want to know a particular player or team's octane assignment just ask and i'll pull it out of the database for  you.

it's not been quite a year since the ku athletic department signed on with whb 810 sports radio to have 810 be their flagship station in the much coveted kc market.  they signed a 3 year deal with 810.

the ink wasn't even dry on the 810/ku contract when the 810 listener ratings began to sink and that was last july!
since that time, ku hoops has gone through many legal battles and has had their name smeared across the fbi and other law enforcement agencies books.  they cannot stay out of trouble. 

in the latest ratings for the kc market, 810's ratings have cratered near the bottom of the entire list.

more people listen to kcjk, whatever that is - no clue if it's a real station but they have better ratings.
the station that broadcasts our games has 2x as many listeners.  double.  think about that for a minute.

everything that K-thUg touches turns to complete crap.  if they run our  best friend kevin keitzman out of business then so help me i will make the squawks pay dearly.

Wacky's World / "wacky's world has gotten stale, need some ideas to liven it up" master thread

the thread title pretty much sums up things for most of the posters who visit this board so let's gather some ideas to freshen it up a bit?

one thing that comes to mind is that we have one of the advanced mods (not wacky) make it so that when you visit wacky's world, the board plays the song "jesse's girl" by rick springfield, but have the lyrics say "wacky's world" instead of "jessie's girl"



also, have a hidden bot mod who selects a different poster every day and bans them from wacky's world without warning.  the ban would be an honor ban (honor ban definition:  not a mean ban, but instead a ban that just says to the poster, "take a lap and increase your posting skill") and the poster would have to post on the other boards only, no access to wacky's world until the bot mod thinks the poster has increased his level of posting and unbans the offending poster

how about a thread where we talk about the future things we would like to talk about in wacky's world?

another idea is a thread where we thank wacks for hosting us in his world?  i have read every post and no one has taken the time to say thanks to him

this morning i was congratulating a co-worker of my who is a jayhawk on being a part of the sweet 16 and the first thing that comes out of his mouth is that KU beat the same seeds that KSU beat and that they did it all without much help from Doke. it wasn't just what he said, it is how he said it. instead of accepting the congrats and enjoying it, all he can do is focus on KSU. i was happy that their are 4 teams from the B12 but this is exactly why I don't even talk to KU fans anymore. Such an inferiority complex.

background: the old ball coach is getting to retirement age and when he does retire, it's time to rip his name off the stadium and rename it by securing naming rights ala sprint center, staples center, soldier field, etc. 
for a school as big as kansas state is, it makes no sense not to profit off of the naming rights to the stadium, especially if we win the natty next year.  does/will snyder care?  he claims that he's so humble, so let's make him back up his claim by doing a ceremony where he pulls the first letter "B" off of the wall.  then rich donors can pay to pull the remaining letters i-l-l S-n-y-d-e-r F-a-m-i-l-y down for $10k per letter, boom we just made $150k.

then as a tribute to snyder we put that money into the war chest that we use to pay a new coach.  kind of a "get rid of the old and bring in the new" type of gesture.

thesis: i'd like to get some of the creative types from this message board to start submitting new stadium naming ideas that we then sell to a company for naming rights to the stadium.  i'll route all the legitimate ideas to the Mustang in the ad's office so he has an idea of the type of crazed fans he's dealing with.  #bleedpurple

ideas:
Sandstone Street  (we love the song, let's name our stadium after it!).  then sell Sandstone Street name to Intel for $40M (estimate) for ten years.  Intel Sandstone Street Stadium was born.  or make Intel bid against another big company like Coca Cola.  Coca Cola Sandstone Street Stadium was born.

cannot wait to start getting paid.  yes, i spent many long nights in calvin hall studying business and have always had a business centric focus in my career.

i realize that what i'm asking for is probably unheard of, but is it possible to fire an interim AD?

look at his resume, everything he knows about ADing, he learned under john currie who is widely considered the worst AD in collegiate sports.  he was john currie's muse for the last 7 years.  do you think he learned how to win during his 1 year in the Iowa State athletic dept?  doubt it lol those guys suck.  maybe he learned from ben boyle (clown) while he worked at learfield?  ben was our former SID for a period of time.  and can suck it. 

showing support for weber is inexcusable.  period.

laird veatch is business as usual in the k-state athletics dept and obviously that needs to change- the sooner the better.  which is why i advocate for him to be excused of his duties as early as this afternoon.  if anyone on what's left of our campus has any stones at all, veatch will be shown the door TODAY and asked not to return to manhattan ever.

i'm sending a link to this thread to university president richard myers to make my voice heard.  he's old as crap but maybe his aol account is still active and he has the internet.
