Crazy how the talented kids oscar recruited either sucked ass until someone came along (see: Massoud) or found someone else to teach them not to suck ass (see: Westicles, Dean, Barry)

U guise wanna be our rival so hard. It's kinda cute  :D

We arent't your rival. Wichita State is...you haven't beaten them since 1993!!!

4
Its getting to the point I feel for them.  They haven't even beaten Wichita State since 1993.  Haven't we done that twice in the last 2 years?

Was at game.  We could have tried to give TCU the ball on purpose and not turn the ball over as much as we did.  Was ugly.  Too many try hard flashy passes.  Which I only say because they didn't work.

Also just a totally pud game environment.  Nice enough arena, there isn't a single bad seat.  But we looked an hour before tip and there were maybe 20 tickets left.  Then right at tip, the place is maybe half full.

So-called Conservative:  You libtards are so damn whiny!

Yeah and it will be annoying as hell, because KU fans will drive up the ticket prices. I'd bet good $ we end up at the same location together, but on opposite brackets, like Omaha in '08
In defense of the pod system, gotta say it was really fun to watch sad KU fans trudge out of the Chesapeake Energy Center in OKC right before watching Jake and friends dispatch BYU in 2010.
This whole weekend birf'd so many good gE.com stories.

There needs to be a 30 for 30 (at least a short!) on gE and how it started and the good jokes and the good times.  For those of us that started EMAWing too late to get in on it.

I just hope that when they build the statue of him next to Ernie Barrett, they use a likeness of him doing the Wabash.
Speaking of Ernie, I saw him at the Shamrock last night, sucking down a double Jack and Coke. Still kicking ass at 93.

I gotta get me one of them handshakes

With volleyball getting their own arena, I would assume we’re 100% committed to basketball being in Bramlage and a renovation happening there at some point.

So I have to be that cheese dick that says it, but there has got to be a way to build a field house type roof on Bramlage during a significant renovation, right? Basically a full rebuild on site.

Look, I know it’ll probably never happen, but seeing those renderings and what Baylor is building has me Jonesin

Ferrell and Moody were both straight garbage.  Bramlage is too new and un-garbage.  Maybe not gorgeous, but def not old and garbage.

Moody? Assuming you meant Erwin was garbage.

Ferrell is the exact same age as Bramlage and they’re building a new arena…..

Correct, I did mean Erwin.  Is Bramlage not a far better design and in far better shape than Ferrell though?

Guess what stud poster is writing this post from inside the Jill H. and Avram A. Glazer Family Club Level in Tulane's new Yulman Stadium?   :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited: :excited:

Prophetic for 2024  :horrorsurprise:

Give TCU a break, they couldn't even win their own conference

In this thread we will see the facilities offered by other teams and how none of them are as blessed as us. If you are a field reporter doing The Lord's work visiting random college football stadiums or basketball arenas, take pictures and put them in this thread so we can all go on a LOL rampage. (Or post pictures of the very few blessed schools who also have good The Settings.)

AIR FORCE FALCONCATZ.

Admittedly their setting is pretty elite. You do have to deal with jabroni Air Force guards at the front gate stopping you and being all, "State your business." And you have to tell them you're going to take pictures of their stadium and their bad basketball arena.

Their East side reeeeeally needs some limestone. And they really need to get those trees out of there if they truly care about the well-being of our armed forces. :sdeek:

Taken from the top of their student section side. Underneath my feet are metal bleachers much like we had at The Wag throughout the 90s. T's & P's.

Weird roundy end zone fun zone.

I wish the stadium were symmetrical but it isn't. :frown:

...because it looks super I-AA'y from the press box side. (apologies 2 lakebison)

Cool view to see the unique curvature of their stadium. Terrible view to see the jumbotron (or any scoreboard, I think), which is off to the right, pushed way up, and facing the other way. At least from this seat you're really close to the huge speakers that project terrifying end-of-the-world drill announcements to the entire Air Force Academy, though.

They reeeeeeally need some lessons in how to make their p. box look more like a city hall.

Here is their huupz arena. The Falqatz are not blessed at all facilities-wise. It's this gym. And what you can't see behind me is that the concourse attaches to a college hockey arena on the other side. Very weird. And this gym has practice baskets that lower from the ceiling, which we all know is obviously a sign of your program being a poor (sister school Duke notwithstanding).

Just seeing this thread for the first time.  I went to a graduation at the Air Force Academy, and the commissioning for my buddy was the night before at the arena.  The funniest part was going out of the exits of the floor seats to go to the bathroom, just like any other normal place, and then running into the hockey part.  The hockey team is just having practice in their part of the arena literally right on the other side of a wall from the basketball court.  All under one roof.

So what do you guys read/how do you collect info and read up on stuff other than just having a knowledge of the markets and what not?  I only hold about 3 positions in a Roth IRA.  I have my retirement index funds thing.  But how do y'all get knowledge and stuff?  I'd like stuff to read as part of my daily routine.  Like, right now, I make coffee, let my breakfast cook, get on the various sports sites and boards, check the lines on a few of my books, maybe read some local news...what can I throw in there to make bank and get bitches?

I honestly don’t think Avery is some can’t miss prospect, I like Edwards better.

I agree that he is probably not "can't miss"

But getting a player of his perceived caliber, an in-state kid, to come be a Cat over some other options he may have, would be big for us.

From the bar they filmed all the bar scenes in Major League...must visit if you go to Milwaukee, mainly to eat.
Holy crap, I have stuff from 4th base!!!!

That place is amazing. There is no menu, you just tell them what you feel like eating. I once ordered a Philly made entirely from Filet Migon, just for the hell of it after talking with the bar tender. Those mushroom cap apps were amazing as well. My wife and I lived in Wauwatosa for a year before we had kids, so we were only a couple miles from there and went pretty frequently.

Favorite bar on the planet and I have only been there once.  Went to MKE for quasi-bachelor party with my 2012-2014 Vista lane roommates this past summer.  Pulled in there after a Brewers game. I had some conglomeration of scallops and pasta.  Was fantastic.

Milwaukee in general, especially the Brewers experience, is severely underrated.  Any bar in a 5 mile radius can shuttle you to the ballpark. Amazing.

He's been here a billion times, clearly loves it, I don't think we need to give up yet. This is a little bit of a different deal than Kanak, who didn't visit until last summer. This staff has been recruiting Edwards since they got here.

this isn't me trying to be negative, that dude is going to OU.

Why would he go to OU when his best friend Avery Johnson is going to K-State?

24
It definitely matters, see one LHC LHC Bill Snyder

That wasn't "old", that was geriatric.  Kelvin and Pitino is old.  My dad is old.  Bill was way past old.

25
Rick Pitino for $2.5 mil a year. (I'm not making this up)

We should make a run at Pitino. I think we could keep Pack and get some other kick ass transfers. Gene probably wouldn't do it but it would be like Huggins but with more wins.
He's older than Kelvin Sampson!

But Sampson and Pitino are good.  Old doesn't matter when good.
