The shame of it is, you're more upset about something that may never happen, then you were about something that actually did happen.

You posted this in your fanfic thread about a world in which Hillary Clinton was president.

The companies and their geniuses should invest their skills and resources in making uber for _____ apps instead.

I don't think anyone called the medicinal companies murderers. They just don't really care if people end up dead.

At a time when their behavior is literally killing people every day

And to say that they just don't really care if people end up dead would be ignoring that their product is stuff that keeps people from ending up dead.  That logic would have us all in the same boat.  Any of us could've chosen a career path of creating medicine or any number of medical or safety-based pursuits.  I suppose my career choice of operating a KSU-ish bbs rather than investing my efforts into making medicine has theoretically killed a bunch of people over the years.

I'd like to know where that quote came from and whether or not the person said it in reply to Bernie's quote. It isn't a rebuttal at all, in fact it looks to me that they're saying the exact same thing, there needs to be price controls in place.

I made it up, tweaking the Bernie quote that Rusty posted, to sort of take on spracne's posit about a different mindset/approach.  It's a statement that starts to address the ultimate grievance - making sure people in need can access the medicine in question - without calling those who make the medicine murderers, which is ridiculous.

It's also not an argument for price controls necessarily.  It recognizes that people who invent/develop medicine are contributing amazing things to the world and should be handsomely rewarded, both as a thank you and to motivate them and future people to dedicate their lives to that career, and calls for implementing systems that continue to handsomely reward those people while closing any loopholes that are truly precluding people in need from accessing the products.

Don't be concerned at all.  I have the chromecast and fire stick and super internet and all that crap.  Kstatesports just doesn't scratch the itch enough to eff with it all to put it on the tv when as soon as I turn the tv on I'll see I can instantly resume catching up on love & hip hop.

If it lines up right where I'm walking the dog by the bar where the alumni dorks have already rigged everything up, I'll stop in there.

Evangelize ESPN+ for another day and a half and then get your asses to Manhattan.

I have not had any problems watching anything on ESPN+.  It is the exact same process as watching the game if it were on FOX, CBS, or any ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU.  Open the app, find the game, select watch.
Who here is having problems with this?

It'd be the same process if it also was a tv channel I could flip to.

Six ESPN+ conference games

I really did not pay any attention when this thing came up I guess.  I was talking to a friend last week and was certain ESPN+ was just replacing FSN/FSKC/FSwhatever and/or kstateo.tv for the non-con games.

We can do a real world test to see how many simultaneous streams we can get going from my espn+ account before they call the fbi

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Website says 3 concurrent streams.

Also, complaining about this is absolutely for olds.

The will be taken under advisement (reminding myself the poster was a full fledged supporter of an administration that: Put the Patriot Act on Steroids, assassinated American citizens, likely still supported transitory rendition to places like the "Baghram Black Hole", fully supported Central American dictator thugs etc. etc. etc.)

Source pearl clutch?

ESPN+ should make their thing where it's like NBA league pass or something ppv-ish?  People pay, and they can then watch the stuff on a janky internet stream OR on some channel that's only accessible if you've paid but that works perfectly.

I guess I should ask, in the face of negative press regarding (non-opioid) pharmaceutical companies, are there any arguments or angles that you find persuasive? Any aspects in which you're at all inclined to sympathize with their interests? Any inclination at all to see things from their point of view rather than viewing them as greedy profitmongers?

there sure haven't been any arguments presented in this thread that counter what Bernie said here:

Quote
Sanders asserted that he disagreed with Biden, saying the companies are "greedy, corrupt and engaged in price fixing," in a statement obtained by The Hill.

"At a time when their behavior is literally killing people every day, America needs a president who isn't going to appease and compliment drug companies - we need a president who will take on the pharmaceutical industry - whether they like it or not. When we defeat Donald Trump, that's exactly what we are going to do," the statement said.

How about this?

"Their behavior - developing new medicine - is literally saving people's lives every day.  America needs a president that will work to implement laws and regulations that will allow for these pharmaceutical industry members to be properly compensated and rewarded for their tremendous contributions while allowing such contributions to be accessible by all in need."

Kansas State Football / Re: the argument for mike leach right now

this crap was funny when it was zany that a college coach would say/do the things that leach says

now it’s not because he’s just morphed into a media/attention grabbing character that says stupid crap in an effort to get the pac 12 media pool laughing

what I thought was funniest is that I didn't hear any laughter. may have been edited out but I loved the idea of self-important sportswriter idiots tapping their toes and looking at their watches as Leach spends all his allotted media availability time wondering if a Ute has traded for a rifle instead of giving them a deeper analysis of the defensive line depth chart.

It's what OBz did but with boring ass kansas mentors stories.

I think one statue, with Klieman holding a young LHC Bill Snyder's hand, walking toward a giant sugar cube would be appropriate. I guess the sugar cube would be a second statue.

I read this first as “... holding Snyder’s head...

I'm gonna need a bucket for the ICAT cash.

Or if someone has a small-to-medium EMAW duffel bag we can borrow, bring that.

They should take the video that they put in the internet streaming pipes and make it a tv channel that goes on a cable sports package you have to pay $10 for.
