Hopefully not luked, but a little update on Gilder and St. John product Claws gets a mention, too. Apparently his offer list includes Iowa, TCU, and maybe Vandy now.

doesn't LHC LHC LHC Bill Snyder have a crazy good record with a returning starting qb?

like, the craziest

Big 12 championships in each of the last 2 times that he has a returning starter.

And Big 12 champ games the other two times before that.

Look who still got 6% of the "who would you most like to play for" vote.
That's our Mack!

CF3, J-Dub, and Wacky all go to a Royals game, on the way home a semi hits them and they die. They all get up to heaven and meet St. Peter at the gates. St. Peter said "Okay everyone can come in, but whatever you do don't step on a duck." The gates open and there are ducks everywhere, all over the floor, on tabletops, everywhere. CF3 walks in and accidentally steps on a duck. St. Peter comes along and handcuffs him to the ugliest woman in all the world and says, "Now you must stay handcuffed for all eternity." J-Dub and Wacky see this and do their best to avoid the ducks. J-Dub goes months and months without stepping on any duck. Then one morning he wakes up and as he is getting out of bed he steps on two ducks. St. Peter comes over and handcuffs him to the most atrocious looking and smelling woman and says, "Now you must stay handcuffed to each other for all eternity." Now Wacky goes years and years and doesn't step on any ducks in all that time. Then one day St. Peter comes along and handcuffs him to the most beautiful woman he as ever seen. St. Peter says, "Now you must stay handcuffed to each other for all eternity." Wacky happily says, "Oh my God, what have I done to deserve this?!" And the woman says, "I don't know what you did, but I stepped on a duck."

Also going for some irony tacos here as Wacky is probably a solid 8 IRL.

Jordy ran 21.6 for the 3A record, for perspective. Alex had great closing speed in the 4X1 Saturday, really brought Hays back from behind. Got smoked by the Seaman sprinter in the 100 (only ran a 10.99) and 200, but closed out the 200 well (went from 5th or 6th off the curve to almost get 2nd). You would probably rather it be the other way around if you're thinking in terms of football speed, but he looked to be a competitor. Also looked like a few biscuits wouldn't hurt him.

Morgan Burns' little bro looked good, too.

Read one of the articles quoted in the piece. Here is one of the highlights:

"In the last, maybe, eight to 10 years, I can think of two things that have lived up to their billing," Fiesta Bowl director John Junker said. "They are Kansas State football and Michael Jordan. You can't sell either of them short and they both get it done. There aren't many things like that in this world today."

Great quote from an interesting source.

the thing that really annoys me is that we're the only successful bcs school that loses talented players to transfers for stupid reasons.  I mean that never happens anywhere else.  stupid coaching staff!

This post deserves some love.

I remember being frustrated as eff by young Beasley's and Roberson's.  Sams was easily better than both as a young player.  Sams was, at one point, on a trajectory to be the best QB this university has ever seen.

GMAFB with this nonsense.  He couldn't even win the position outright.  Just like he didn't in high school.

Neither did Beasley or Ell as sophs. And I'll take losing out to Waters over sharing snaps with Helm and Dunn. "Best ever" potential may be hyperbolic, but not that far-fetched when looking at most soph KSU qbs.

Fun little re-read.

How many ages hence
Shall this our lofty scene be acted o'er,
In states unborn, and accents yet unknown
