Do we think there is a still a chance Snyder retires this year, or would he have done it already?

This would be the perfect year for Snyder to retire, almost any coach could come in and have success next year with what we have returning.  But I'm sure that makes it hard for Snyder to retire as well.

Here's a post from an Oregon message board, they don't seem too worried about it.  Interesting that they think we would go after Rex Ryan if Snyder retires.  http://oregon.247sports.com/Board/45/Contents/The-contract-for-Jim-Leavitt-has-been-released-50103177

Maybe common knowledge, but it seems as if xWhomper is transferring and Bullnuts is suspended indefinitely.

Definitely wait on DirecTV Now.  I'm currently on PSVue but figured I'd try DirecTV, so far I've been signed up for about 36 hours and still can't sign in.  They did take my money and are impossible to get a hold of.  I'm sure it will work out, but it's not starting out well.

D.A.R.E. even supports legalization.  At least for a few hours they did. http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2015/07/dare-calls-for-marijuana-legalization.html

Kansas is in so much financial trouble that it seems like the legalization of marijuana makes a lot of sense.  But at least we shouldn't be jailing people for the possession of an ounce of pot.  Anyone know if the decriminalization of marijuana in Wichita is in affect yet?

12
Unfortunately I feel like Kansas just wants to compete with Alabama and see who can be the most conservative state.  I think it could be a long time before it's legal here.  I believe 7 state are going to vote on legalizing it next year and we don't even have medicinal marijuana yet.

I assume most people have heard of Shona Banda from Garden City who was arrested a couple months ago for possession of marijuana. Here is a link to the story.  http://www.cbsnews.com/news/kansas-mom-loses-custody-of-son-11-after-he-gives-marijuana-speech/  She uses marijuana to treat her Crohn's disease that almost killed her, had something like 17 surgeries and was taking fentanyl to ease the pain.  I personally have never used marijuana but I do have Crohn's disease so i feel for her and understand her troubles.  I did know that many Crohn's sufferers do smoke or ingest marijuana and talk about a big improvement in symptoms because of it, but the legal issues have always scared me off.  Now I'm not saying Shona Banda is a great role model or a great parent for how she's handled everything, but she faces up to 34 years in prison for using marijuana to treat her Crohn's and it seems a little ridiculous.  If my Crohn's was as bad as hers I wouldn't hesitate to use marijuana if it helped me.

Colorado made almost $100 million last year from the taxes on the sale of marijuana  and we spent over $70 million on arresting and jailing marijuana users.  I think it's about time to just legalize the stuff by now.  At least since Colorado has legalized marijuana less American money is going to the Drug Cartels in Mexico.

Ya you're probably right.  Still I believe a large portion of our current team is made up of Kansas kids.  But I'm sure the ability to recruit Texas is more important than Kansas.
ya think?

I believe we have 52 Kansas kids to only 20 Texas so I think recruiting in state is still very important.

local ties.

We're not Iowa State

Maybe not, but I would think having local ties for recruiting purposes would be beneficial.

I agree I wouldn't want him as our next head coach either.  He has at least won everywhere he has been, unlike Dimel, but at a much lower level.  I was mostly just looking at winning coaches at lower levels and I saw he had local ties.

Definitely not a sexy name but anyone know anything about Willie Fritz? A couple Division 1 championships at Sam Houston State with an overall record of 31-10 and had a good year at Georgia Southern and has a lot of ties to the area.   Also his first name is Willie.
