Yep and bill polian also thought Landry jones was a future star. Quit being a dumbass dax. Quality of competition does not matter. Corey davis was a top 5 pick, randy moss went to marshall, etc. Players picked in the first from alabama are just as likely to bust as someone picked in the first from some fcs school from bumfuck, nowhere. You should base your analysis on the individual, not the pedigree of the past QBs from that school because that makes you look really dumb. If you want to freak out, freak out about his decision making or footwork in the pocket, not "oh golly he's an air raid QB automatic failure!"I must be missing something. He'd been gone for 5 years before mahomes got there...and yes dax its still incredibly stupid based on any system. Teams focus on the football iq, mechanics, footwork, placement, etc, not the system they ran. It might be a small footnote but a team would have to be really really stupid to make that even a top 20 factor in making the pick. I dislike mahomes because of his footwork and recklessneck, who gives a eff what system he ran? The quality of competition hardly matters either because the NFL is a massive massive jump in talentLol at basing the merits of a pick on a school's history at that position rather than the individual traits and play/tape. Doesn't get much stupider than that. That said, I dislike the pick.
But none of Leach's QBs have ever worked out in the NFL...
Lol, thanks Captain Obvious for the Football 001 talking points.
Plus, don't give me this bullshit about the quality of competition "hardly mattering". On ESPN radio tonight Pouluan (sp?) did a whole riff on how they often went back to the December draft board of which much was derived on what they scouted in actual games.

Wgaf about how many winning seasons you have. Postseason success is what matters, that is the goal. That is the difference between the chiefs and the royals. This
Oh yeah deceptive speed with reeling in the ladies.Dalton Gruntley. He's a 6'2" wideout, he went to my hs and was really good.Deltons arm strength looks better, but he should also have 2 additional interceptions... Not impressed. Skylar is head and shoulders better.
It was also interesting they never let Skylar play with the purple team, kid has a quick release and looks great throwing on the run. Zuber is going to be really good, Silmon+Barnes looked good, Carlos S has great hands will be good, our entire WR core is legit. McCoy could be special. Justin Hughes had some nice speed at LB Surprise player for me was 83? Shone something? tight end I think made some great plays.
That's a wonderful name, was he majorly cool in HS?
Can Thompson run at all? Legitimate question? Not sure if we're Jake Waters'ing this thing moving forward.
He looks pretty mobile, maybe a bit above Jake waters. He isn't going to be a battering ram. I think his biggest weakness will be his decisions to keep the ball or let the backs take it. He made a poor choice one or twice this game.
[/quote/]he's quite a bit above jake waters. Waters had pretty crap mobility for kstate standards. He's also better in the pocket with his feet.

I've only seen the play by play, but I understand why Delton was not allowed to throw it last year.He hasn't been bad, but thompson has clearly been better.
