Maybe 6-2 with a more experienced Sams running the show against Baylor.

Just what is a "steffy?"A boner in North Dakota.
I hope the guy is ok
Quotewhat the eff did any of you expect to happen? So you weren't shocked or surprised or the least bit bothered at all when you were watching the college kid have a seizure at midfield on saturday? Just shrugged and said "well that was certainly expected?
I was just as concerned for him as every time I've seen a football player have a life threatening injury. I felt a pit in my stomach and I reaffirmed with my 7 year old son standing next to me that he was not allowed to play football for the reasons he was also witnessing.
He wasn't playing football. I sincerely hope you're lying about your 7 year old son, my 4 year old daughter knew he wasn't playing football.
Yes there's a difference. Again you are missing the point that even if they still find someone willing to be speared the 53,000 fans there aren't willing to see someone hurt in that manner. I'm stunned that you are refusing to acknowledge this.
Not once, in the 13 years I've been going to games, has anyone around me NOT responded to tackle/willie skit exactly like winters described earlier in the thread before his accident occurred. I'm stunned you have such a short memory. Of the 53,000 people there, I'm willing to bet over 52,000 of them weren't thinking "this is stupid, someone's is going to get hurt"
Someone help me out with the point here
You know when you see a poll where the question is something like Is fire hot and only 98% of the people say yes, I've always wondered the mindset of the other 2%, guess I'm seeing it now.
Absolutely did watch it happen and immediately said, "He's either knocked out cold or something is broken." I'm not going to sit here and say that I wasn't scared for that kid, but i'm also not going to immediately call for the skit to end. After he walked off the field with a little bit of help and had proper medical attention, I watched the game.
I feel like I'm debating a 3rd grader. Why do you think the spear is necessary for the skit? You do realize the spear and the skit are mutually exclusive, right?
So now that it's clear that the midfield tackle is pretty dangerous those of us who weren't that worried about it before should stick to our previous opinions out of stubbornness?Yes there's a difference. Again you are missing the point that even if they still find someone willing to be speared the 53,000 fans there aren't willing to see someone hurt in that manner. It's okay to let new experiences change the way you think about certain things.
"Hey you volunteer to eat so you should be responsible for what you eat."

hey you jerks- this isnt a joke. i need to get rid of this hotel room...
oh and its got 2 queens in it and you cant smoke cigs in the hotel room but you can just outside the lobby.
MiR did it better than I could have.
Everyone is aware that the individual getting hit at midfield is another willie, right? from what I understand none of them enjoy being put in that position.
I would like to see this specific skit replaced by something more clever, that doesn't have such a high potential for injury for an unprotected KSU Qatz student.
Are they forced to be in this position? Because if so, I reverse my stance.
Why are you having such a hard time coming off of this simple minded point? I'm sure we could get people willing to perform oral sex on Willie, does that mean they should allow it at midfield? The 53,000 people that saw the skit didn't volunteer to see a non football player, seemingly at the time, dying on the field. In addition to the obvious nightmare fuel to the fans and liability risk to the university, the skit is really dated and played. They have been doing that for at least 6 years in a row, it won't be missed.

good lord, shut up
Good lord, everyone else shut up. You guys are the ones crying about someone getting hurt during an entertaining skit that requires physical contact.
That isn't the point, you rough ridin' moron. First of all the willie skit or and other skit don't require someone getting speared. No one is advocating for the removal of all skits, just one that doesn't require someone to be maimed. Who rough ridin' cares if he volunteered to get hit, you think it is a good idea for the university to allow that massive liability risk to continue? There are lots of stupid things people would volunteer to do that wouldn't be a good idea for the school to showcase at midfield of a football game.
I also find it hilarious that these two morons are calling those of us that were actually there to see it soft because we were affected by thinking we were seeing a kid die in front of our faces. No one is impressed by your moronic false bravado, most people who chime in with that bullshit are giant pussies.
It was an accident, there were no victims; if this event shows anything, it's that future participants should be required to sign a liability waiver with an understanding that they know the risks they are taking.
good lord, shut up
And if Willie misses and the bullet hits some kid in the stands, it's the kid's fault. That kid knew what he/she was getting into when he/she walked into BSFS.
The Willie tackles have to stop, ShellShock. We can't have KSU students getting Coach Kill'd in front of a packed house while 50,000+ screaming fans cheer while he convulses on the powercat. It's just some dumb skit and you really won't miss it.
Might as well stop playing football also...I mean, players have concussions/broken bones/knocked out all the time and people get tackled out there too right? Heck, tailgating in the parking lot seems dangerous as well because there are cars driving around in the same area that people are running around and having a good time right? Better yet, the drive to BSFS is dangerous because cars are unreliable. Soon enough, nobody will want to leave their home to do anything. See what i'm getting at here? There are risks with everything whether it be volunteering in a skit, to playing, to driving, to whatever.
It was/is a sad thing what happened to that kid don't get me wrong, but everyone taking it way out of proportion is a little crazy if you ask me.
Yeah. We see what you're getting at here. Still not worth it.
well the last two games he came in on the second play so that scheme is used upLife starts the rest of the season knuckleheads
I'm not so sure. I think Sams will get the majority of snaps from now on, but Snyder is going to play Waters. Waters probably gets a couple more starts.
