I think I would have liked both the Killers and Fallout boy if I had listened to them when they first came out.  I acknowledge that it's good music.  However, I missed them both.  I have only listened to one band that has come out since 2000 and that's Billy Strings.

I’ve added two more “new” bands to my list, which is a very significant thing for me. Goose and Eggy. They are the two best jam bands I’ve heard outside of The Dead (and their offshoots) Billy Strings. Hod damn they are both good. Only listen to their live albums or you aren’t listening to them at their best.
I'm only into the second song of Goose's 2023 live album and I'm hooked. Solid.
Hungersite is one of the best songs in recent memory.

We are going to My Morning Jacket's One Big Holiday in April. https://mmjonebigholiday.com/

Pretty excited that the War on Drugs and Futurebirds will be there also. Anybody been? If so, any tips?

Loudermilk on Netflix is pretty dang good. Really hits its stride in season 3. Brian Regan is great.

Just bought attachments for my leaf blower and hose so that I don't have to get on my roof to clean the gutters.

Finished the first episode of this doc about "The Troubles" in Northern Ireland last night. I went into it with zero knowledge of the subject outside of listening to "Sunday, Bloody Sunday" by U2 and watching the movie Belfast. Very good so far

Same. I fell down a rabbit hole after watching this (probably for the wiki thread). Check out I, Delours, centered on the lady who help kidnap the mother of 10 and more from the republican point of view. The actual footage is from interviews she gave to a BC prof as part of a project.

Hard to believe that it could still go sideways at any time.

Not to brag or anything but it is in fact the best outdoor venue outside of maybe the Hollywood Bowl but this is probably better

A storm in the distance at a Red Rocks concert is a pretty incredible outdoor venue experience.

Was this Friday?

Going to Buffalo for a concert late June. May go to the Finger Lakes region for a few days, was thinking Watkins Glenn area. Any tip or advice are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Why Watkins Glen? It is pretty there but there are finger lakes/upstate areas that are just as pretty but not as far away. As someone who's made that drive more than I care for, it's a really long way away. It's not one of those drives that says it will take 2.5 hours but you can do it in 2, it's going to take every bit of that 2.5: and probably more because you'll get stuck behind a slow ass pickup on one of the impassable two lane highways. If you're set on going that far away from Buffalo, just go to Ithaca, it's the same distance, same beauty, more stuff to do, more restaurants and bars.
Watkins Glenn seemed central to a lot of the hiking and waterfalls. Also, found a cheap cabin (but googled the owner and he recently resigned as mayor due to multiple sexual harassment allegations  :sdeek: so probably will find another option). I don't mind driving, in areas that I haven't driven in a million times already (although not driving as far is obviously an advantage). How does that drive compare, scenery wise to driving I35 through Iowa/Minnesota?

That seems like a random concert destination?

Also I can't really help you but I have heard the Watkins Glen area is nice

Also go to Niagara Falls!
It is a random destination. We go see My Morning Jacket fairly often and like to pick a part of the country we haven’t been. Definitely doing Niagara Falls. Debating whether to do the Canadian side, the US side, or both.

the basket team stayed there at one point in time
Ham Strickland once tried to throw me over the 3rd floor railing.

With both teams shooting so well there was not a large number of opportunities comparatively for rebounds. On our defensive end, there were quite a few long rebounds off of threes and then a handful of airballs by ISU. Those are difficult types of rebounds for the defense and bigs in particular. I am more worried about our defense giving up easy buckets and not having more opportunities for offensive rebounds. All that though, we do still need to improve our interior rebounding across the board.

Ish is a great spot up shooter. He is not good at anything else. That is fine, I suppose. Put him in correct situations. Less minutes at least on defense. Hopefully N'Guessan will be back to full strength soon and push Ish back to more of a situational/role player.

Any word on N'Guessan's return?

FYI The War on Drugs at Redrocks was as epic as it sounds.
I have seen them 3x this year, they were amazing each time, but unfortunately not the Red Rocks show. Hopefully next time.

I did see My Morning Jacket at Dillon & Red Rocks though. Transformative shows, such great venues. The Red Rocks show had Steam Engine and Phone Went West and closed with Rocket Man, AEIOU, Touch Part 2, and Wordless Chorus.

It's unnecessary, a bs safety feature. If you ride trails it will eventually start rattling and break anyways.

If you are riding flat pedals get some bike specific shoes like 510s. They make a big difference in foot bend to prevent soreness and the traction will help save your shins from pedal strikes.

If it hasn't been already,, remove the dork disc.

I have posted about US Girls on this blog before because sometimes the singer reminds me of Jenny Lewis!

Kinda hear it but man that new album is funky!

Woke up, got out of bed
Didn't even drag a comb across my head
Went to McDonalds and drank a cup
And looking down I saw my phone was dead
Found my friends and twerked my ass
Had an orgy in seconds flat
Made my way upstairs and had hot chip
And everybody lied and I went back to bed
