I mentioned I was Forbes manager at Barton. His first year as head coach was my sophomore year. I arrived early before the school year and he had a scholarship open. He showed me tape of one guy (who probably would have been more helpful) but decided to bring in Gitonga Maina the African star from the movie "the Air Up There' with Kevin Bacon. I haven't heard from or about G in twenty years. This story made me sad:

Anyway, to answer a few questions posed earlier, Forbes connection to Martin is through Underwood. They were very close friends when Forbes was at BCCC and Underwood at DCCC. The difference I see between Forbes and Henson is the success at different stops. I don't know that Henson would be bad, but I think Forbes would do really well though I am admittedly bias.

I was the team manager at Barton County when Forbes was the head coach. I didn't appreciate him then like I should have. He has been an assistant under Pearl and Gregg Marshall. I think he would be a solid hire.

His best friend at the time was the head coach at Dodge City - Brad Underwood.

You may well be right. I used to follow you guys a little at the old site. It was a bit too rough for me at the time. I though most of the edgy humor was funny but I struggled with all the respect jokes (I have a daughter with special needs). Those a much less plentiful now, and I have thicker skin, but that was the main reason I could handle GPC and not come over here. I will freely admit that lots more bball info comes through goEMAW. I will let you know after a football season on goEMAW if I feel the same. If it turns out to be the case, I will certainly be full time switching. My wife will be happy to have the $9.95 a month.

I pay for it. You get alot from guys on the board who are plugged in. Sometimes Rob and Gates have stuff.

I don't pay for it, but I have a login. As far as I can tell, the people who are "plugged in" usually just get their info off of this board and repost it over there.

This.  Nothing ever gets broke over.  goEMAW is more ITK than all his posters combined.

I hated the Weber hire. I couldn't do anything about it. I read message boards, that's it. I don't have 2 nickels to give KSU so JC isn't calling me. That said, I have come around to less than hate and I want to watch great hoops. The only way for that to happen is to get recruiters and TX said that BW is still hard after Howard. Also look at Zeiglers recruits under Howland, I don't want him gameplanning alot but if he spends his time recruiting he is an asset.
