dad 3maw had a conference that was held mostly at coronado springs last july. it was right after that kid was killed by the gator. happened in the lagoon right there at the main resort area. had alot of people on snake/gator duty then just wandering around the lagoon.

mrw we stayed at coronado as 8 year old 3maw  :horrorsurprise:  :Woohoo:

mrw i went back to coronado last year:  :dunno: hotel rooms were up to snuff, the cafeteria's werent amazing but it was nice to walk around. also was a good event space fwiw. it is for sure made for 2 demographics being kids and conference attendees.

also iirc pleasure island was shut down and rebranded as downtown disney which is now disney springs as steve dave said.

although my seasonals arent so bad (one pill a week really fixes it), i'm also allergic to metal. causes alot more issues.

Like if you eat a quarter you might feel bad afterwards or if you touch a spoon you will die?

probably closer to first one. haven't tried tbh. but can't wear like necklaces or rings etc unless its platinum. also can't use alot of deodorants. irritates the skin and a nice little rash and swelling happens. been working in germany for a couple of months now and there was irritation on my thighs. it was from all the euro coins ive been carrying around since it is not a card friendly country. weird allergy imo.

What do you all think of the apple watch? Personally i think it will gain more ground than it's android counter parts. I know that it's a piece of hardware but what do y'all think?

that market is crap right now, so I have no doubt it will do better, unless the price is too high(it is). my questions is why buy it?  what does it do that my iPhone doesn't already do better, oh and you have to have an iPhone already to even use the thing. I mean it's a cool idea but for practicality sake, no thanks.

i have a samsung gear 2 neo, and i love it. for one, I can't wear like 99% of other watches because i'm allergic to metal, so this works great. second, it tracks heart rate during running/biking/hiking. Its also nice while biking/on motorcycle to use. i have my phone in my pocket or in my backpack, and i can check my messages on it at stoplights/when i pull over, i can control music thats playing in my helmet or headphones, etc. its also fun to use at bars and turn off TV's when KU fans are watching big 12 tourney in aggieville  :fatty:

I'm sure apple's watch will still kill it (compared to other wearables now) as they have such a cult following. I think the wearables market has a ways to go, but again, my watch is great and i use it all the time.

ww - i'm looking into it as well. it's competitively priced and i think it could be a great media center (if nothing else). Yes, its way more than a chromecast or even an apple tv, but those are a different market. I don't personally believe its stats are crap - no, you wont be able to play counterstrike or use solidworks on it, but it can still do great things with a quad core and 2g of ram, and 32g of storage..expandable up to 128 i think. it also has bluetooth in it, so again, good for media. I could probably get by doing my morning routine on it. It'll probably flop in consumer markets but i could see it doing amazingly in corporate markets. companies will eat this up for conference rooms or shared space/meeting rooms, etc.

had a brittany as a kid. parents lived in texas at the time, picked him up in austin, so they named him austin

a bit after he passed, we got a bichon named chloe (doesn't shed at all... ideal for 3mom) but dog was pathetic. so we got another of the same kind a couple years later. Joie. we named them so that when we called one they both conveniently came. pretty stud dogs. can't wait to get my own. wanting a boxer soon.

also had a russian tortoise named russ.

my new post grad employer (starting in june) is def over 50K employees... many different divisions tho. they have alot of employees out of germany which requires a 2 month summer vacation, so theres not much that gets done in the us at that time. and what does get done is usually by intern studs.

grats to other recent job acquirers luke tbt and lib7!

The president's immediate response to this situation really helped saved this from being an OU issue rather than an SAE issue, as it was. Good work by them.

Right, it's a specialization. just like how kstate doesn't actually have a nuke engg degree program. It's just a 5 course specialization of ME. The degree is still mech engg, but says nuclear option. I knew it was a specialization, but it's just not an actual degree offered at Kansas state.

I think the SE degree is masters only. They tried to get ECE and CIS to collaborate on an undergrad SE degree a few years ago, and they are apparently hoping that with phase iv, now with these two depts a floor apart, hopefully something works out
