When was the last time a HCIW (FB or BB) actually went on to be the HC at the school that made him HCIW?

Other Sports (Tiger's Back) / NCAA Tennis Champ Tickets
« on: May 21, 2016, 02:47:16 PM »
Anyone know where I can get NCAA Tennis Champ tickets for tomorrow?  Sold out on NCAA website and Stubhub/SeatGeek don't have tickets listed either.

I know you want quantifiable data, but I don't have access to it.

However, take someone like me.  I always had season tickets so I knew I had an in to the 3-5 games per year I wanted to go to.  I dropped them because I know I can now easily go to any games.  So, a fan base where fans feel like if they want guaranteed seats to any game, they are better off buying season tickets than finding them elsewhere.

I'm one of said brothers in the pic.  That was my freshman year.  My junior and senior year's of high school I had season tickets and didn't miss a home game and drove an hour to each one.  I went to every game my freshman and sophomore years of college, I went to most, if not all my junior year as well (Oscar's first year).  Went to less my senior year.  I went to literally ONE game my fifth year and really didn't make much of an effort to watch from home.  Barley watched any games this year.

If oscar did something this despicable, would there be anyone there to see it?

Who?

I heard that Dr. Tracz is not in favor of wifi because he thinks it takes attention away from the band. He may be sabotaging it. #firetracz

I hate band directors/band people that think anyone in the stadium is there to see them. They add to the atmosphere well but attendance wouldn't drop by a single person if they weren't there.

dont know which thread to go in but sutton was on sportscenter last night

 :excited:  Details?
he has played well I guess has several teams interested. I think he dob last night top ten play

The clip that I saw of him was all about Cauley-Stein blocking his shot 3 times.

Let me begin by noting that this is not a new idea, others have observed this as well:

I got a 12 page flyer for season tickets in the mail.  It has the word "losses" in it twice, including on the cover.  It does not have the words "coach" "oscar" or "weber" anywhere.

This exacerbates my conspiracy theory of Currie trying to make this Weber's last year.

I am beginning to believe that Currie wants oscar gone.

Currie renegotiated his contract to avoid being tied to team performance...this is the act of a man who knows we will be bad.  Why would he do that? WHAT IF Currie wanted Weber out NOW, but was pressured (the Animal???) to keep Weber in place?  What would he do in that case....would he demand to have team performance removed from conditions for his compensation?  Hmmmmmm.

The parties were different, but we have seen this in the KSU basketball program before.  Tim Weiser tried to fire Wooly, and President Wefald vetoed it, and gave Wooly one additional year.  Could we be seeing that again?

Currie is not stupid.  He must know that Weber is failing.  He is VERY self interested.  If you are both smart and self interested, would you keep oscar Weber if you were the AD?

I want to believe this and it may very well be true, but I also have a friend that has very close ties and involved in the AD and says that this is becoming the norm.  AD's incentives are being more tied to fan attendance rather than team success with the idea that if coaches/teams win, people will show up and if they lose they won't.  Now if the teams win AND no one shows up (i.e. the AD not making money) then they still don't get the incentives.

« on: June 30, 2014, 10:40:50 PM »
I have had a cyst in my left wrist for years that I have long considered having surgery to remove but then I always decide against it.
dobber jr has this as well. Sometimes it looks bigger than others. You can't see it unless he shows it to you (it's not like a bowling ball or something, I mean, this dobber jr we are talking about. No deformities. It's in the genes...complete handsomeness.)

I had one on my right wrist when I was younger.  Had it surgically removed before the beginning of my sophomore year and recovery wasn't that long.  I played tennis on it for the rest of high school year round with only one small flare up that went away on its own.  Haven't had any issues what so ever since.

Plz give specific examples of Brite douching it up. tia.
super spiked hair dressed like a guido played the I play football card all the time

Ol professor Fallon basically told him to STFU in marketing class one time.

:surprised:

It was uncomfortable because he and another baseball player (he played that too) were talking loudly during the lecture and Fallon went all southeren on them and said something like " you two ball players wanna be quiet" " Hispanic Americans are much better than you now at ball anyway ".  Now just picture Fallon's drawl saying something like that.

Anybody else there circa about 03 in Nichols?

He kind of called out DJamer this year in class after they lost to Northern Colorado

The Turk/Cox friendship was better than the Turk/JD friendship.  The show was better without JD, Turk was a better character than JD, and the season 9 episodes without JD were the best in the series.

The Cox/Cole relationship might have been better than Turk/Cox had it been given some more time to develop. I agree with everything else.

jesus christ what is that venue

They call it Frontier Hall. It's a garage.

This thing has been going on for 47 minutes and the only thing said so far is Wyatt saying there's more seats in the back.

The big pep rally is tonight! Rollcall. :emawkid:

What glorious and ridiculously long speech will LHCBS give, what will be revealed :crossfingers:, whats players will talk, how many t-shirts will be throwns? All this and more tonight! I just cant wait :ohno:
Are they having it at diamondback stadium again?

This is the most K-State0 thing ever. We're at an old western cow town thing and the pep rally is in a garage.  In all of Phoenix, the best we can find is a garage.

Been driving a rental Ford Focus the last couple days because I'm pretty sure I totaled my 2001 Oldsmobile Alero Thursday morning.  So I'm probably getting a new car soon.

Any Topeka area goEMAW'ers that want to team up for moral support?
