Been awhile.

Streb advanced through Web.com finals and earned his PGA Tour card back for the upcoming season.

He's off to a solid start for the 18-19 season finishing T26, T4, T32 during the fall swing.

He was recently a guest on @ClubProGuy Learning Center, which is hilarious and you should all follow him on the twitter

Streb, with Watson advice, shoots 66 in Open debut

ST. ANDREWS, Scotland – It has become a rite of passage for first-time Open Championship participants and Robert Streb had no problem taking his turn under Tom Watson’s wing this week at the Old Course.

Streb, who is playing his first Open and lives close to the five-time Open champion in Kansas City, took advantage of his Midwest roots to arrange a practice round with Watson on Tuesday.

“He’s obviously had a great track record over here,” said Streb, who scorched the Old Course on Thursday with a 6-under 66 to move himself into contention.

Watson, who is playing his last Open this week, has become a mentor to younger players in recent years at the game’s oldest championship, playing practice rounds with the likes of Brandt Snedeker and Streb.

Of all the advice Watson gave on Tuesday, Streb said it was on the iconic Road Hole where he learned the most.

“The best thing I got was try not to hit it too far into the green on 17,” said Streb, who made par on the penultimate hole. “Just try to get it up there on top and take your two putts and leave.”

Whelp, a lot has happened.

Streb won The McGladrey Classic ($1,008,000), leads the current FedexCup race, qualified for the Masters and PGA Championship, and is fully exempt on the PGA Tour for the next two years!

Streb just hit a sick shot on 18, has about 10 feet for eagle. He needs to make the putt to advance it looks like

Boom, sinks it. looks like he'll be at Cherry Hills for the BMW Championship next week!

After a slow start in round one, Streb did work in rounds 2 and 3 going -8 par. He currently sits t16, and is six shots back. If the tourney ended today he would advance to next week. CATS

Streb is in 97th and needs to make up at least 181 points to move up to 70th to qualify for the BMW next week. He'll probably need to finish in the top 20 to even have a chance.

Yup, he needs to finish 18th to move into the top 70, and 2nd to move into the top 30

This past weekend Streb competed in the Wyndham Championship, finishing T18, banking $66,780 and earning 51 FedexCup points. He officially locked down his PGA Tour card for next year and qualified for the FedexCup playoffs which begin this week at the Barclays. After the Barclays the top 100 in the FedexCup move on to the Deutche Bank Championship, top 70 to the BMW Championship, then the top 30 advance to the Tour Championship and compete for the $10 million prize. Streb will need to make some moves the next couple of weeks to advance to the BMW and TC.

Aaron Watkins competed in the News Sentinel Open on the Web.com Tour shooting a final round 68 and finishing T6 banking $18,425. That was Watkins third top 20 in a row and now ranks 28th on the Web.com Tour's money list. He needs to finish in the top 25 to earn his PGA Tour card for next year and only has one more tournament left to move up. He is currently $22k short of the player in the 25th spot.

If he does not finish in the top 25 he will advance to the Web.com Tour Finals which consists of four tournaments, four weeks in a row. The top 50 players on the money list after the four tournaments will earn their tour cards for next year.

Streb had a solid performance at the Barracuda Championship this past weekend, finishing T14 and banking $54k. He now sits at $1,048,152.00 in total money for the year!

Watkins backed up his 2nd place finish with a T14 this week, banking $10,500 at the Stonebrae Classic. He sits at 31st on the official Web.com money list, six spots short of a guaranteed PGA Tour Card for next year. He has 7 tournaments left to get into the top 25.

Mr. Streb didn't have it this week, MC up in Canadia.

Mr. Watkins is currently leading the Midwest Classic after a second round -6 65. He sits at -10, two clear of second place. If he wins he will be very close to gaining his PGA Tour card back for next season. First place receives $108k.

Cats.
How did your amateur run go?
I finished 41/104, didn't play well the final day, shot 80.  Going to keep working at it!

Watkins shot -7, 64 today and is solo second, three behind the leader. I'm going to watch him tomorrow in the final round, let me know if you would like to come out, have passes. Cats

Streb is in action this week at the RBC Canadian Open. He is looking to top the $1 million dollar mark in earnings on the year, needing just $6k to reach it.

Aaron Watkins is playing in the Web.com Tour's Midwest Classic at Lion's Gate in OP this week, he tees off at 1230. If you are in town, I would recommend heading to Lion's Gate and watching, great event, lots of  :drink:. Doberman_CATS!!! will be in the Partee Tent on 17  :drink: tomorrow afternoon.

That's awesome! Excuse the lack of updates, Doberman_CAT'S just made the cut at the Kansas City Amateur, and has been celebrating. Streb didn't shoot well today, he's -7 overall and ten shots back. He is racking up FedexCup points though and should be in good position to make it through the playoffs. Cats.

After a rough finish at the Greenbrier last week (still made $12k), Streb did work today in the first round of the John Deere. He shot a 6 under 65 and is two back of the leader Zach Johnson. I think this course sets up well for Streb, he's ranked in the top 5 in par 4 scoring on the PGA Tour, and there are some easy par 4's at this course. If he scores well on the par 5's this week, he could be looking at another top ten.

It's pronounced like Deb, correct?

Gonna win 'em all!

Correct. He struggled with the putter last couple of holes, down to -3, teeing off on par 5 17th meow

Ok, hopefully I don't jinx him, but Streb is -4 thru 13, two off the lead. He's striping the ball today, hitting 83% of fairways and 92% of greens in regulation, while averaging 318 yards off the tee. He has some pretty tough holes left, but one par 5 he should be able to go after. Cats

While Streb missed the cut at the Travelers, former KSTATER Aaron Watkins took the lead in Wichita at the Web.com Tour tourney. If you win on the Web.com Tour you are veeery close to earning a PGA Tour card for the following year. Hopefully he can finish strong!

Top 125 in FedEx Cup standings retain their Tour card, right? So if Streb keeps steady he's in good shape for next season.
correct, he's pretty much locked up his tour card for next year. now it's about making the playoffs this year

Streb donated the $10k first place check from the Watson to the First Tee of KC. He did it for the kids guys
