Only one of those things is an actual waking taco

Do Fritos scoops count as a walking taco?

Then neither is a walking taco. The left is Frito scoops.

In a couple of weeks Mrs. Hamburg is taking the kids on a week long trip trough Kansas to see her dad & grandmas. I’ll probably just be at the office until 8-9 every night.

Smoke a pack of heaters on the back porch.

This fall I need to go to Julius Rib Cage again.

Okay, this is the one that does it for me. I'm now going to stop pretending I get drill tweets or that I think they're funny. There has to be a hole in my pop culture knowledge that prevents me from thinking these tweets are funny.

You made it 3 years longer than I did.

Fun fact, in the early 2000s when they were planning on building a soccer complex on the north side of town, I was the one that delivered the letter to the city manager that officially killed it.

Logan’s vs Roadhouse rolls is a good midwestern argument.

I remember a group of us in HS laughing hysterically at the White Sox playing Here I Go Again at Finley.

Wet spots starting to appear in grout on kitchen floor. It’s a slab house, so we’re going to have to bust out 4-6 pieces of tile to find the leak. We don’t have anymore if that tile. House is 16 years old, so I’m not finding that tile. Looks like we’re getting a new kitchen floor.

We buried my father in law today. Age 91. Career of farming and lumberyard man.  Built all 4 houses he lived in during his adult life.  Helped me finish our basement.  Specs for our barn he did for us in the farm thread.  Helped a sister in law build her house.  Every daughter and daughter in law had a hand built dry sink from him.

Oldest of 9 with 6 kids and 19 grandchildren. My wife's best memories are of them building the house they lived in on their farm.

Couldn't think of a better place to post this.

Sorry to hear this Tom.

A&M in general is just a really weird cult.

I’ve said this multiple times on Twitter, but me, Phil & the wives went to A&M in 2008. Weirdest place I’ve ever been. We went to midnight yell just to see it & that was a cult meeting. The milkmen were wearing overalls covered in patches from various events. They were taking turns telling stories to make fun of K-State & UT, but they weren’t funny or even really coherent, but every A&M student was laughing hysterically. Whoever had the mic had to walk back & forth & when they turned around they would cross their arms and do one high knee at the same time. Half way through they shut off the lights & then couples make out. Single guys were asking us if they could stand next to us & kiss our wives when they shut off the lights. They also buried the dead dogs off a corner of an end zone facing the field so they could watch the game. When they expanded 20 years ago they blocked the dogs view, so they put up a scoreboard so they could follow the game.

We even got an honest to God "the setting" post in there too:

One thing we should know by now is football stadium location is meaningless. We probably have a top 10 location and we’ve sucked forever. KSU and ISU have horrendous locations and they’ve kicked the crap out of us recently. If you’re good your location will suddenly become good. I’d hate to see memorial torn down but it makes a lot of sense to build new in some field.

I probably just sneaks in as a top 10 location if you're just talking about the Big 12 I guess, but that's about it.

Serious question... who's worse? Because I've been thinking about all the conference stadiums I've been to, and there isn't one jumping out at me as a bad location. I could also be missing "the setting" qualifier because their stadium is such a complete dump.

I’m going to sound like small town Midwest dad complaining that there’s no parking lot around the T-Mobile Center on this one, but it’s OU. It’s a huge pain in the ass to get to & on game day it’s a rough ridin' nightmare to get in/out of. Lindsey St is the closest exit off I-35 to the stadium and it reduces to a 2-lane road between I-35 & the stadium. It would be like if Seth Child was the interstate everyone came into town on, but Kimball reduced to 2-lanes a 1/4 mile east of Seth Child and your only parking option was to drive through all the residential side roads in between to find street parking.

The Hill is obviously vastly overrated, but I do wish the north side of the athletic complex was student ghetto housing instead of cow poop and other farm stuff

That's the part that cracks me up. Those aren't even nice homes north of the stadium that they laude over.

I'm still holding out hope that we can get the new practice facility moved north of the stadium and have a sky bridge over Kimball.

I'm actually serious, rundown student party houses are one of my favorite things about college towns. I want couches on the porch roof, beer pong tables in the yard, maybe some offensive signage. Would be great.

Would be amazing.

Lol we are not getting that kid

Rubley had a better rating at his regional Elite 11 appearance.

I’m not saying we don’t have a chance at Avery, but you’re comparing Rubley as a junior to Avery as a sophomore.

This year we’re just doing the in-state casino resort for a few days. All the kids want to do is swim anyways, so we reserved a pool side cabana next to the water slide for the whole time. We’ll do a blow out vacation next summer.

The Lori Heimer thing was mumped up. I know they called it a brutal murder, but I’m not sure they released all the details. I’ve heard a few that were pretty messed up. I know for awhile they thought it was a random passing through the area that was either hallucinating on drugs or had severe mental health issues. They’ll never solve it.

Fell asleep on the couch at 8:20 last night. When Mrs. Hamburg woke me up at midnight I thought I’d been asleep 20-30 minutes.

Finally getting around to Sopranos & am on episode 3. Got HBO Max for Mortal Kombat. Will now probably stick around for other shows I’ve never watched like Deadwood. The model of getting first run movies to get subscribers hooked worked on me.

Just got done watching the movie. What a rollercoaster of emotions! It will take some time to process this.
Major upgrade from the original

Going the R route with the target audience now in their 30s instead of 13 definitely allowed them to make a much better movie.
