never saw a QB to RB or QB keep. something I have seen Snyder do in every game at least once. never saw it in this game. not once.

I am sure the Stoops bros planned at least 25% of their D schemes for this, but never saw it.

No options.

First game I have ever seen coached by LHC Bill Snyder without an option play.

Let's just hire Jim Wooldridge and call it good. After all, he does have head coaching experience.

He's like the Bill Clinton of NCAA men's basketball.

if #fireSnyder happens, #hireSeanSnyder is next. Of course with Patterson losing to Baylor, he may be looking up a couple states to come home

No more channelsurfing either.

Government Takeover.

This is the first home game I have missed in the OOD in years.

Who is Souhtwell?

Embarrassing. Almost as embarrassing as the new K-State Web site home page design.

Right now would be ecstatic with a 1 point win in triple ot.

Hoping for something more like this.

Isn't that the day they had the "All Century Team" ceremony?  I remember that day.  Got to meet Lon Kruger for the first time and get his autograph.  Also Dick Knostman.  Helluvaguy.

I met Lon that day too. I sat right behind Lon and had a quick chat with him about K-State basketball and UNLV. He signed my hat. Very cool guy.

I was there for every game Thursday through the Saturday. Sprint Center is an incredible venue and the Power and Light district was excellent.

John will pay him what he and Frank think is fair.

Isn't the problem that Frank and Currie disagree about what is "fair"?

The problem is that nobody knows what either man thinks. That is why it is meaningless to point fingers, ridicule John, worry about Frank leaving right now, etc.

I just think that fans should not spend time or energy in this way, especially when many are ignorant of the character of these men.

Why do you think you're a better judge of character than me*?

*Guy who met RP, thought he was a piece of crap, and was wearing a Fire Prince shirt 6 games into his career

Funny you mention this. I heard that the Prince's might move back to Manhattan since they have not sold their house. I can't reveal how I know this. All I can say is that the Prince family is currently making a decision about this. If anyone else knows more about this, I would be interested to know.

Frank will only leave if a Florida university wants him.

ummm, pretty sure that at this point going to any Florida school, other than UofF, would be a step down in the college bball world. I don't see Billy D heading anywhere anytime soon

also, if you really have talked to Frank about this you can PM me your info and I'll ask him about it soon....tia

I never said I talked to Frank or John about a contract. I just said I have talked with them.

precisely my point. I would consider Frank to be an acquaintance of mine and I'd never publicly attempt to translate my perception of him into a prediction regarding his contract situation.

ArchE_Cat: I think you may be misreading what I am saying. It seems that there is a lot of judgment being passed around from many fans on both of these men when most of the fans have never even met or talked to either of these men. There is no correlation of me talking with these men and contract negotiations. I just think that fans should not spend time or energy in this way, especially when many are ignorant of the character of these men. Furthermore, no one knows about a contract between John and Frank except John and Frank. So, I say again to the fans - Quit worrying. Enjoy that we have Frank for now. Now, let's beat the beakers tonight.

I don't think its coincidence that the last game as Top 5 teams was in 58 and KU's home winning streaks is 58 games.

Just sayin'.

 :bball:

You've got quiet confidence about tonight....and it comforts me.

_FAN almost always thinks we are going to win. He is an optimistic guy. Take a look at his track record of pre-game comments throughout the years. You will probably have to go to ksufans to do so.

I have personally talked to Frank and John on several occasions and most of you have misconceptions about both of these men.

John is solid and does not deserve what most of you are saying here. Frank wants what is best for his family and wants what is best for his players.

Frank will only leave if a Florida university wants him.

John will pay him what he and Frank think is fair.

This situation is completely different from the Huggins situation.

Quit worrying. Enjoy that we have Frank for now.

what does Currie smell like?

John smells like a Southern Baptist.

Frank smells like a Southern Catholic.

Dear Coach Martin:

Please remember that Cole Aldrich and Sherron Collins will not foul out. No matter how much you try to get your players to draw fouls, this method will not work. If anything, your players will get the fouls and cause you trouble for much of the game if you attempt this method again.

Remember the play that you designed against Texas when we won in Austin, in 2007? Yes, you were the Associate Coach, but you designed a play that won the game. At least, Huggins said during the post game radio interview that you did. You had Hoskins drive in, then kick it out to Cartier Martin for a 3 pointer. The ball went in, the clock stopped. Game over. We won by 1 point.    Try this play again with Dom and Pullen if we are in the same situation on Wednesday night. It will work. I promise.

The shot against UT happened when we were tied with a bit less than a minute left, IIRC.  Anyways, it definitely didn't stop the clock to end the game.

You're right. In my mind, that shot seemed like a game-ending shot to me. I think that game is the game that showed me that things are really changing.

If I know Frank...and I think I do, then the Frank I know tells the truth.

Frank really means that this is his home. He even said his wife likes it here.

He is also being honest by saying that when he is not thinking about competition, he will sit down with Currie.

Like Frank, I don't think fans should be thinking about this or wasting energy on this issue until Frank is ready to think about it.

Let's enjoy the time, fellas. Soak it up. Best K-State basketball nearly any of us have ever seen in our lifetimes.

EMAW!!!

I have to say, Beamer, that is a very impressive picture of Self. Although I would really like to despise Self, I can't because he really is an excellent coach. Therefore, I have great respect and admiration for him.

I am really enjoying the fact that both Kansas teams are exceptional this year. Overall, it brings great national basketball respect to our state.

Saying this, I still want to beat the crap out of KU every chance we get.

Nothing sums up this team's success better than this quote from Denis Clemente.

"This team is our hero. Us staying together is why we're winning. It's a team without a hero because the team is the hero. We've got a rotation of 10 players. It sounds crazy to have that many good players, but our key is taking someone good out and putting somebody good in."

Would be interesting to see what NCAA players have beaten Boozer's point average of 21.88 points per game. My oh my. That is high.
