We looked really good in the first set. We looked really really shitty in the second set. The third set is likely who we are and that's a team that will need to claw, scratch, and fight to be on the bubble.Losing Aliyah Goolsby to Iowa State hurts. Cats were at least in it till the end.
Mansfield seems to want to only block one in the middle, we did it all night with no adjustments, at all so I'm guessing it's philosophical. Nebraska absolutely dominated that middle solo blocker and all good teams will.
The transfer setter is still adjusting to the team. She isn't bad, at all, but it's wild that she was first team all Pac 12. I don't see that at all.
I really like Aniya Clinton. Suzie did a great job recruiting her. She's really aggressive and the moment didn't seem too big for her, at all. She and Meyers are the only underclassmen who play. I hope Mansfield is a good recruiter.
After this and having to open Morgan Family Arena on Friday, Omaha should be ready to run a train on the Summit League. Their non con is ridiculously brutal. They host a tournament with Creighton and Iowa State too.Nope

It wasn't the look of the floor, it was the type of floor. I had seen that type of floor in the NCAA tourney, but didn't pay it all that much attention, but now that K-State has that type of floor on a full time basis I was trying to figure out what it's all about. Because I'm a sports facility nerd, what can I sayIt's Taraflex, the surface every player would love to have under their feet.
13 pretty big points from Ish. He's not perfect but he was pretty salty tonight.3-0 in OT games, 7-0 in games decided by 10 or less. Remember struggling for shots in close games?Remember hating Ish as a role player and not knowing what type of zone we ran on Tuesday? Either way, go cats!
Ish had 0 rebounds in 17 minutes today. Still far too weak a player. Thankfully, the other bigs and Johnson were warriors on the boards. Need N'guessan back.
Guys we are pretty good IMOWith no N'guessan
I’d peripherally seen uw hired their assistant as head coach a few days earlier. We’re they fighting for the uw job, loser got ksu?The #1 assistant @ UW had been there for 26 years as both a player & coach. He wasn't leapfrogging her.

Also learned uw has beach volleyball. https://gohuskies.com/sports/womens-beach-volleyball?path=wbvball
There will be some portal movement, at least I hope. Haley Warner is the only player who doesn't have eligibility left. Returning an entire team who went 6-10 in conference doesn't seem like a winning formula. He'll want to bring in some of his own women.Yes, Carter & Fernholz stay , find an experienced setter in the portal, build around those pieces
You would hope we can do better, what’s the hold up? OU just named their coach in 2 weeks time.Pretty puzzling, really considering what they are walking into facilities wise. Bridges need major rebuilding but the right coach can do that right away. More interesting that I haven't seen a single player in the portal. Don't know if that's good or bad.
I will say, there are several coaches that have a similar profile as Dawn, but none of them were alumni. I built her up because I've wanted her here for so long, then she went and won at UNLV, confirming what I thought. There are hires that can be made that can excite, let's hope Gene gets it done, we should know within the next 48 hours.Pretty easy choice for the Mizzou AD to hire the same Head VB coach twice!!
