This is a thread for people like me who know jack squat about something to ask the many experts on gE for technology advice.

I'm looking to buy an Ipad for my girlfriend as a graduate school graduation present.  I have found a deal where I can get an Ipad 4 16 gb for $349.  I think the Ipad air is going to be a lot better as an option, but the 16gb IPad air is around 499 at its cheapest. Is it worth it to pay $150 more for the air? Or is the IPad 4 pretty servicable?

When I was deciding on a college to attend, one of the things they tried to sell about K-State was that there was a huge network of alumni just waiting to hire KSU grads.  I think this board needs a thread where we can all hook each other up with connections. The more of us that have killer jobs, the more money we can throw back at the WildWildCats.

They should consider axing some full fbs members.

 

Ok, so I was discussing this with a few friends who are familiar with European soccer and this was what we came up with.

In similar fashion to the Premier league as I understand it, each of the major leagues would have some small timey leagues as their "minor leagues" (This could be D2, D3, etc).  After every season the best team from the lower leagues would move up one division and the lowest teams would move down.  This would allow for the maximum amount of competition at the highest level.  In this case KU could move down a year, win a bunch games and then when their program was ready move up into the elites. 

Because of home and aways as it were it might need to be a two year cycle instead of a one year cycle.  If this were the case it might also need to be a two team shift down or up based on a compilation of the two years of performance. 

What do you guys think?

Does it seem to anyone else that after the KU slaughter in Lawrence oscar told the guys to foul hard when players are going in for a layup? I think that Nino flagrant in the Tech game is a prime example.  I like it, but I'm curious if there are any statistics or facts on that as a coaching strategy.

In my six years as a student and two years as a young alumni I have become increasingly disappointed with our student section.  I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were about the lackadaisical attitude of our student section? How do we fire up the students so the Octagon is at the right level of doom?
