Kansas State Football / Is "K-State" Patented?
« on: July 27, 2017, 01:10:36 PM »
As some may have heard, Ohio State filed for exclusive usage of "OSU" in February.  Oklahoma State has until the end of August to petition the request.  Otherwise, Oklahoma and Oregon State will no longer be able to use the moniker.

When I google KSU, the results are Kansas State, Kent State and Kentucky State.....  But if I search "K-State", the results are exclusively Kansas State.  Did the university patent the moniker?

Kansas State Football / Go Bowling At 5-7
« on: November 29, 2015, 09:35:57 AM »
I read that there may not be enough 6-6 teams to fill the 80 bowl spots this year, so K-State could compete with Nebraska or Mizzou for a spot even if we lose to WVU next week.  Something about the thought of doing that does not sit well with me.

Kansas State Football / Which Would Be Worse?
« on: November 15, 2015, 09:43:10 AM »
I just asked this question in another thread of people claiming they do not think the team or coaches deserve to go bowling, so which of these poisons to you propose keeps the entire town of Manhattan from complete meltdown:

1.Beat ISU in Manhattan next week, only to lose to KU the following week that not only decides our bowl fate; but even if we win the following week, we get to hold hands with the Jayhawks while sitting in the cellar until next season; or
2. Lose all 3 games;

Yeah, this fanbase still should have reason to spur on the Wildcats the remainder of the season unless we can dethrone the Jayhawks in men's basketball.

Kansas State Football / K-State Has 3rd Longest Win Streak in FBS
« on: April 07, 2014, 03:59:00 PM »
I did not see this as a topic or where I could put it by just scanning the threads.  If it has already been discussed, feel free to delete:

From Ivan Maisel:

Oregon has won 60 consecutive games when leading at the half, the longest streak in the FBS. Oklahoma is second at 42. Both are perennial national contenders with explosive offenses that can quickly make a game one-sided. But here’s the surprise: Kansas State is third on the list at 39 games. In the five seasons since LHC Bill Snyder returned to the sideline, Kansas State (42-22, .656) has been good, but not dominant. Without dominance, I’d guess the streak has a lot to do with Snyder, mental toughness and a lack of mistakes.

Kansas State Football / Wait and See.....
« on: September 22, 2013, 12:17:14 PM »
I can appreciate why anyone in their right mind would be totally pissed after last night.  But folks let's wait and see.....  We may have witnessed UT finally after so many years, playing up to expectations.  All eyes on the Red River shootout in two weeks to see if the team is legit.  If they beat OU, win the Big XII then K-State was merely the first victim.

Nevertheless coaches, GET YOUR ASSES OUT AND DO SOME AGGRESSIVE RECRUITING.

First again let me congratulate the town of Manhattan KS on their accomplishments in winning the triple crown of men sports in the Big XII.  As you already know you’re in very rare company.  I want to say however, every time I visit this site and see the “Titletown” page, or when I adorn my K-State ball cap (hard to come by I may add in Oklahoma), I am reminded of an old school tune from when I grew up. K-State will always remind me of this song so from Tulsa, OK here is to all the smooth people in Manhattan KS:
