Kansas State Football / How good is Jaren Lewis?
« on: September 14, 2021, 11:31:54 AM »
I don’t know a thing about the guy besides looking up his HS Senior stats (throwing for 2,900 and running for 700 with 36 total TD’s). Will he ever see the field? Or is he destined to be the next Sammy Lamur? Does he look good in warmups?

I bet he wouldn’t turn the ball over at least….

Kansas State Football / Booing players...
« on: October 26, 2016, 09:10:13 AM »
Is it ok to boo players? I say it's pretty shitty most of the time, since they're 18-22 year old kids. But I'll admit, I boo'd Hubener down in Norman a few weeks ago, which OU fans got a kick out of. No one else really other than maybe Jesse Tetuan.

Are you guilty of booing our own players? Or am I a shitty person for booing Bazooka Joe?

Jerome Tang Coaches Kansas State Basketball / Hoops Drinking Games?
« on: November 14, 2014, 12:43:46 PM »
Anybody have any they prefer? Me and my buddies use to take a drink after Spradling would miss a shot. Those were some rough nights. But alas, he's gone.

Kansas State Football / Will we beat OU in Norman?
« on: July 11, 2014, 02:23:22 PM »
Have several OU people giving me crap about the ass-kicking they're going to give the Cats in October. Payback for 2012? Still stings apparently to all of them. My goEMAW'ers, convince me that we'll win. I got nothin. Also, living in Oklahoma, I hate OU almost more than KU.....  :dunno:

Jerome Tang Coaches Kansas State Basketball / One Shining Moment
« on: March 21, 2014, 08:12:36 AM »
Our journey begins tonight. Can you imagine how adorable Marcus Foster's smile will be during One Shining Moment after he hits a GW vs. Kentucky and then pulls off the "upset" over WSU? Maybe a highlight of NINO diving 2 rows deep in the stands to save a ball.

The prophecy has been written. Go get em, boys.

"Foster will prevail
Calipari is a douche
Weber out-coaches"

KATZ.

Kansas State Football / OU Smack talk?
« on: November 20, 2013, 08:13:46 AM »
Do I do it? I live in Oklahoma, so I'm constantly surrounded by these morons. I mean OU fans are literally the worst. I'm not much of a trash talker, but man, I really feel like we're gonna pound OU Saturday. Do I attack their intelligence? Their 2 word fight song? Do I bring up the suicide bomber incident in 2005? Last year in Norman? Their smelly water? Need ideas. TIA.

...to Lynn Dickey working with the Quarterbacks. This goes back to Carson Coffman. I guess Dickey really thought he could help Klein/Coffman/Sams/Waters. Sorry if luked.

I know we're now a hullabaloo basketball program now. I mean just awful. Basement dweller. Everyone's senior night. Hobby sport turned into comedy sport.

BUT Nigel Johnson can play.

Not that it matters.

Kansas State Football / Talked to some big-time Donors last night...
« on: April 04, 2013, 08:58:15 AM »
...and here's what was discussed (some of this we already know, but hey...)

--LHC LHC Bill Snyder didn't return to "calm the waters". Bill came back strictly to make Sean "head coach in waiting". Sean is Bill's guy, and he will 95% likely be our next coach.
--Sean runs EVERYthing. I know most people know this, but apparently Bill is slowly letting Sean take over everything.
--Brent Venables, Jim Leavitt, Mike Stoops, Mangino, etc., were never seriously considered to replace Snyder his first go-around. Snyder is STILL bitter that these guys left K-State, and he doesn't want them now. IF the new coach is someone other than Sean, it will be from with-in the program.
--Snyder was up in the air on the Prince hire.
--Snyder absolutely can't STAND Currie. Snyder sub-consciously wants Weber to "fail" so it can prove what an idiot Currie is, and run him out of town. Currie would be crucified if he ever touched Snyder, so Weber's failure might lead to Currie's eventual firing.
--Charlie Weis sent over "spies" to mimic almost everything that K-State does in football. His words (paraphrasing) "You get your asses over there and find out exactly what they are doing over there. I want to do it like that".
--Perkins (KU AD) loved the Prince hire. Apparently was very nervous that K-State hired a "home run" hire.
--Sams is Bill's guy. Would be shocked if Waters started over Daniel.
--Dalvin Warmack is the closest thing to Sproles the coaching staff has ever seen.

--Basketball wise, verdict is still out on Weber. But he will have a short leash. If K-State fails to make the tournament in any year, he may be gone.
--Lon Kruger is still EMAW, but he would never return to coach here.
--Dana Altman felt that he was pushed out of K-State from within, but wouldn't rule out a K-State return.

Like I said, most already know this info, but hopefully some of this is new.

Spradling rough ridin' blows

Please. La Salle scares me. Am I being a FP fan? Help guise. Someone reassure me of how no one will be able to stop Angel, how McGruds will be on fire, and how Spradling will get hurt and won't play... :crossfingers:

Since the prophecy of Fatty is happening before our eyes, so much eliteness has affected my life. Wife isn't bitchy, boss promotes me, etc...Anyone else experiencing similar things? I also got a hole-in-one in golf the other day. With my K-State golf ball. I mean guys, this is nuts.

...just walked in where I work. I asked him if he was a fan, and he said yes, but he only really cares about football and baseball. I asked him about Frank Martin and mentioned that I was a K-State fan. He told me that no one in Columbia really follows and/or cares about SC basketball. His family goes to some home games (tickets are a dime a dozen apparently), and that the fanbase really doesn't care for Frank or his antics. Basketball is so non-existent and has been so awful there (other than the NIT appearances in '05/'06) that he thinks that Frank will be gone (let go/leave) as soon as a more desirable job opens.

On a side note, he said he'd love to see a football game between the Spurrier's Gamecocks and Snyder's Cats. He loved Klein and that "little number 16". Nice guy. Idk, thought I'd share... :dunno:

Pretty elite.

...at a bar in Oklahoma. Seemed like a real cool dude. He came up to me (I was wearing a K-State shirt) and asked me if I went to K-State, if I'm going to the game Saturday, etc...I asked him why he left, and he said that oscar basically forced him out. He said that they didn't see eye to eye, and that several of the players don't see eye to eye with him. He said the only difference is that those other guys actually were going to get playing time, whereas he wasn't. I mean Watson sucked, but it made me feel for him. His EMAWness was off the charts.. He said he misses the guys, especially Nino and Shane. He said he hates that the Octagon isn't filling up at the games. That's all I got, if anyone cares...

Jerome Tang Coaches Kansas State Basketball / Who else hates...
« on: February 14, 2013, 01:58:54 PM »
1) When 'Tay dribbles up top with pressure?
2) That oscar won't unfold his arms?
3) When JO looks at his hands after he drops a pass?
4) When Angel/Shane throw beautiful passes and our bigs either can't jump or can't catch?
5) When Spradling walks on the floor?
6) That McGruder never dribbles with his left hand?
7) That Gipson has a 3 inch vert?

I hate them all. However, I love this team. oscar looks really dumb on the sidelines, FTW.
