The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / GOP Battledome Trump v Ryan
« on: October 10, 2016, 01:07:08 PM »
Since the GOP is in open war today, who's side are you on? Do you want Burkean conservatism with supply side economics to run the GOP or the Nationalist-Populist brand to run it? I really don't care I just got my popcorn and am enjoying the fun.

The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / Ben Sasse 2020?
« on: May 05, 2016, 05:32:50 PM »
Was just wondering what people thought of the junior Senator from SD's state. He wrote this yesterday which is getting a lot of pub.

Also I watched this video from the Hoover Institute and he seems impressive IMO

Was reading this article about habeas corpus

https://theintercept.com/2016/05/04/the-untold-story-of-bill-clintons-other-crime-bill/

and it got me thinking how many of the amendments in the bill of rights havent been watered down?

I think the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd (pretty useless now) are still strong, even if i want to wipe the 2nd off the books.
4th, 5th, and 6th seem to have been weakened to a decent extent.
7th doesnt matter
8th is definitely gone
9th doesnt matter
10th got destroyed for the good of country.

P.S. i always assumed habeas corpus was in the bill of rights but its actually in Article 1. Anyway was just thinking about that today.

P.S.S our judicial system scares the living hell out of me.

The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / Chris Christie: American Hero
« on: February 10, 2016, 11:03:18 AM »
What a hero Chris Christie is, whether it be hugging President Obama a week before the election, or knee capping Marco Rubio and therefore turning the GOP nomination fight into a disaster. So three cheers to Chris Christie as he rides into the sunset.

Take of the Tape
Height
Cruz 5'8"
Obama 6'1"

Reach
Cruz: Ability to shutdown the Federal Governemnt for no reason.
Obama: Ability to destabilize a country and drone them to death.

X-Factor
Both these cats got their law degrees from Harvard. But I trust Obama athleticism and being a southpaw will only help. Cruz will fight dirty of that I have no doubts, which I think could neutralize Obama's advantages.

So who you got in the upcoming bout and why?

The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / Give me your tired...your poor.

So I'm not sure some people understand the actual vetting process for refugees. So here is an article about the 2 year process it takes. It's totally different than the refugee process in Europe. But keep being afraid of a terrorist posing as a refugee getting on a plane with a fake passport, like that wasn't a threat Before the refugee crisis.

If Kansas has proven one thing in the Brownback era its the falseness of the Laffer Curve. So lets all have a good laugh about it.

I get the whole free market thing, and for most things it works very very well (education, infrastructure, healthcare, and defense are the things i dont believe it works that great for). But at some point cant you just make too much money? I mean giving away 150 million to a school ,that has 2 performing arts center, to build another performing arts center just seems like a massive waste of resources, when there is so much need in the world.

I know I'm a Commie for saying this, but at some point shouldnt society get this money, and decide what it wants to be done with it? I dont know, i just feel like its ridiculous that someone has this money and is willing to waste for another performing arts center at a school that doesnt need it.  I look forward to being called a libtard.

« on: April 16, 2015, 03:44:26 PM »
Just wondering with the Dollar being incredible strong when the collapse of the economy due to our debt happens, I've been promised it for like 6 years now.

Kansas State Football / Family Chant
« on: July 24, 2014, 10:51:02 AM »
I don't think #family is being emphasized enough by our Athletic Program so I think we should start a new tradition where instead of chanting KSU whenever we score, we chant #family as many times for as many points as we have.

The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / car dealerships
« on: July 21, 2014, 02:59:31 PM »
I've been thinking about this for awhile but car dealerships seem like the most inefficient way to bring cars to the market. I remember reading somewhere that the only reason they still exist is because most states have regulations forcing cars to be sold through dealerships. That is a regulation I think both my contard friends and I can agree needs to go.

The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / Top 5 worst President since 1900
« on: August 06, 2012, 09:49:33 PM »
I thought I would take Dlews idea and make it only since 1900 since no one really cares or knows about the presidents before then.(other than Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson)

My list
1. George W. Bush-Created the budget mess we are currently in, presided over a war that was started on false pretenses, caused the worst recession since the great depression.
2. Calvin Cooledge-caused the great depression
3. Jimmy Carter-terrible leader, the country lost faith while he was in office.
4 Richard Nixon-anytime you have to resign you make the top 5
5. George H. W. Bush-he really wasnt that bad but i needed someone to be 5 and he obviously sucked if he was voted out after only 4 years.
