What booster let Currie take his plane all over?

Moreover, per sources, UT has initiated the process to dispatch Currie with cause on the heels of insubordination claims. Among the most egregious of the claims, per multiple sources including some in the legal community and on the Tennessee campus, when urged to return home last week as the search dissolved into a national punchline, Currie instead opted to utilize the private aircraft of a Kansas State booster to continue trying to find Butch Jones’ replacement.

“That’s why no one knew where he was after he left (being turned down by N.C. State head coach Dave Doeren,” a source explained.

Summer of 97 this dude named "Chicago" basically lived at my house in Dodge.  He was pretty cool and we would shoot hoops every day when he wasn't banging my sister.
That fall he went to Kansas State University and became Darnell McDonald.

Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

whoa  :sdeek:

Girl I know dated Darnell.  One day, she showed up to class with a giant pube in her grandmother's ring from giving him a handy.  Started calling her "pubic zirconia".

Saw Chad May at a Pi Phi party.  He was drunk and offered people a chance to "touch a million dollars" and offered them his arm.

Some cleat chaser bought Brian Kavanagh a shot in Lucky's.  He told me to take it for him.  I told him nah, then he got all back up quarterback on me.  Nyle Wiren told Brian to not be such a "rough ridin' bad person" grabbed the shot, slammed it and broke the cup on the ground.

Essentially Flyertalk / Re: Facts about Topeka
« on: August 29, 2012, 12:29:47 PM »
Topekan checking in here...

Topeka is a Wal-mart community happy with chains and it pisses me off.  I would move, but my wife and I (both undergrads from KSTATE) both have good jobs here.  Anything good coming to the area, originates in KC, Manhattan, or Lawrence, and then branches to Topeka.  If you are in the area, I recommend the following.

The burger stand here is very good.  I will say that the one in Lawrence is a bit better (they seem to cook their burgers better and they have more sauces for their fries).  They have a good selection of beer.  I would recommend the Kobe burger (comes with truffle butter) and the truffle fries.

The Blind Tiger makes some of the best beer I have had, bar none.  If you are in the area, give it a try.  It is right off of 37th and Kansas ave.  They make some great burnt ends too.  IMO, Boss Hawgs is complete garbage in comparison to Blind Tiger and Grovers.  Grovers is a less sweet BBQ.

As far as other places, Paisanos for Italian is good.  El Mezcal is probably on the better end for Mexican.  Tuesday/Thurs/Saturday, they have 0.99 margaritas.  Their white cheese dip is pretty dang good.

There are some other decent places, but these are where we like to eat when we go out.  It took all of a few months to get tired of chains.

sorry, but anyone who think's Grovers is good has lost their mind.   The burnt ends at Blind Tiger can be great, but just as often as not they are tough and fatty.  El Mezcal also sucks (go to Los Charros instead).
Grovers is definitely a different style of BBQ than you will find most places in the midwest.   It is a lot more of a vinegar than a sweet BBQ.  Most people really like it or really dislike it.  Take your pick.  They have been in business for decades and stay busy.  I don't think that is a sign of bad food...though it is Topeka and I don't have a lot of faith in this community

I will try Los Charros, but I will not say EM sucks.  EM is far better than any chains, and most other mexican joints I have tried around town.

Roll to El Sol and then run your mouths.

Essentially Flyertalk / Re: sell garbage to your friends at partys
« on: May 31, 2012, 12:54:33 PM »
I've just recently become aware of this freak show. A group of people at my office are always talking (between boughts of crying) about this thing they bought at their friends party.  apparently their friends have these partys and somehow trick everyone there into purchasing low quality jewelry, clothes, kitchen stuff, candles, etc.  At first I just assumed all of their friends were into one of the pyramid scheme cults but I think this is a different thing.  maybe the pyramid scheme cults just branched out into new markets. Not 100% sure.

The really funny ones are the "passion parties" that involve female canadian friends crashing a bachelorette party with sex toys for sale.

No less than three chicks I went to high school with are into selling the passion parties.   ALL of them did loads more stuff than the other chicks back in high school.

Yeah, but one of thinking of one of them doing the loads makes me want to clean my brain with bleach.   :goodbyecruelworld:

You know who wins in all this Weber practice stuff?  The trash cans.  All those years of Meanie Greenwaltie and Furious Frank running the players and  :barf:   :barf: and stuff.  Now they can be filled with the sweet smells of orange rinds and blue drink.

Holy crap, if you thought their basketball audiotoreum was a pos, look at where Favre played.  I almost feel bad now.

So, I'm driving home from work and have to stop and pee.  Naturally, I stop at AFH.  While I'm trying to not let it touch the floor, I look up and the Hawks are hawking ticketsM. Tier 2 tickets (hedge fund manager type) for Baylor are going for $80 a pop!    Then a nice woman outside, offered me a GA ticket for the Khatz game for $75 a pop.  Then I went to Yello Sub.

Seriously?  Fans of a program coached by Frank Martin are going to criticize a coach for getting in a player's face?   I have officially seen it all.

 :flush:

WTF ever, those are CLEARLY photoshopped.  I can see your layers you amateur!!!    I have been to every game, home and away for the past four years and have never seen Frank get in a players face.

wonder how you say "the white flash" in Lithuanian?

Apparently you say "Fat Jason Bennett", "Laimonis Chatkevicius" in Latvian.

IDK, I kind of like that within an 8 hour drive, I can watch a Big 10, Pac 12, SEC or Big 12 game?   :dunno:  We are truly at the intersection of collegiate athletics.   :excited:

Maybe it would help if you realized the phrase is Italian, not Spanish.

white = bianco, not blanco

:dubious:

maybe it would help if you had a ruler?   :dunno:

I have a good feeling about being able to post this a lot this season:

 :bball:
why are the lowercase I and lowercase L the same letter?  May want to try a new font.

Uh, there is no lowercase "L" in the phrase "assassino bianco."

Yeah, yeah...  What?
