Don't we have all those same things with Nigel already?

I'll go:

Clemente
Pullen
Sutton
Kelly
Beasley

woof

It's definitely not sexy, but I'm going to be able to lock down most teams on the perimeter and I'll rebound well. Thought about trading Cartier for Dom. But I don't know enough about Cartier's defense in college.

I would love to see us use more high-low next year with Gip and Hurt.

Foster's ability to consistently split double teams with the dribble is impressive for a freshman. He won't go pro until after his junior season at the earliest.

He has to improve his shot and get in to better shape. I like the DWade comparison. I also think he might compare to Jordan Crawford.

The good thing about Indiana high school basketball players is that they all tend to be pretty good at the next level, even if they are rated as 2 or 3 star guys. Brandon Wood, who played at Michigan St. his senior year was the 18th best player in the state in the 2007 class.

state, not school

The hardest part is getting in to Indiana if you're not a state school or a national power. There are plenty of three star prospects in that school. At one point, Lawrence North had 10 D-1 prospects on it's roster. There is plenty of talent in those states, it's just making in-roads. I am in complete favor of recruiting those states. The only problem in Indiana is finding a big-man.

Alabama was able to create easy shots when JO was in the game and running him through pick and rolls. Then they suddenly stopped. This is a problem that teams down the road could kill us with.

Lawrence looks really good. Shot well from the arc. Threw a great touch pass to Diaz on a fast break. He is very athletic and finished well in traffic too.

Agree with the previous assessment

Can I make a motion to name this year's defense Kibbles and Bits?

I thought the dude with the head on his hand was Steve Donahue

We need to hire Sidney Lowe as an assistant.

I want a guy with ties to the Midwest. Give me Indiana, Ohio and Chicago kids all day long.

Why not look at a guy from Butler to fill that gap.

Smith-Rivera has been a really interesting prospect to follow. He is not the first major guard prospect to come through North Central, but he will be the second since Jason Gardner to go out-of-state to play college ball.

I think he really wants to play point guard at the next level and he wasn't going to get that opportunity with Ronnie Johnson (Purdue, '12) playing at that position.

Used to love watching Maryland in the late '90's and early 2000's.

Back when they had the kid with the big hair that constantly dunked on bitches.  Huge freak jumper.  Very aggressive. His name escapes me.

Lonny Baxter?

click on the ryan harrow dance video and check out the adorableness

of course we do. have you seen what our team looks like. there's a reason our basketball team is better now

I talked to a guy who covers indianapolis recruiting. he said that smith-rivera was visiting texas and baylor, but he had not heard about smith-rivera and k-state.

23
Florida state is a good 10-seed. Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Just sayin'

24
Hinkle Fieldhouse is really cool. Would love to actually see a game in there.

It's a good place to go watch a game. Grew up a Butler fan as a kid. Visited Hinkle once or twice every year growing up.

I am doing this based upon observation, but our defense is much better than it was last year.

We are being aided by having two high-level players who are seniors this year.

Pullen and Kelly are going to play their asses off to make sure we go as far as possible in the tournament.

Both could use a strong March to help their pro prospects.
