Kansas State Football / Re: RJ Garcia - Stud and KSU Fan Favorite

My son and I were in the Optum Club Lounge during halftime.  We hadn't left yet when the 3rd qtr started.  Watched the fumble/safety play from in there...few of us yelling and screaming at the refs over-turning the call.  This lady looks at me and yells, "that's bull****!"  Few min later, RJ catches that TD pass, same lady goes nuts with excitement.  I look closer at her and family - she's got a jacket with Garcia on the back, and I'm guessing perhaps RJ's brother, wearing a Garcia jersey.  For the next few min she was pretty emotional crying with joy for her son.  It was a cool moment for them.

If you go to Cowboys stadium for a bowl game in future years, highly recommend buying tickets with access to the lounge.  The food buffet and desert stations weren't horrible, but the open bar is worth the money.

The South Dakota game had a LOT going on in terms of the program overall.

1) 40 yr anniversary of the 1982 Independence Bowl team.  Couple dozen from that squad were in attendance for a reunion Thursday - Sat.
2) 10 yr anniversary of the 2012 BigXII Championship team (obviously)
3) Ring of Honor Inductees
4) The annual Golden Cat tailgate - was an interesting mix of former players from many generations/eras this year, given #1 and #2 above. Ell Roberson seemed to play host in the middle of the beer tent and took a ton of pictures with a lot of people's kids.  He was great to talk to and a good sport about it.
4a) KState Athletics does a great job on these events.  The beer tent was either Bud Light or Kona Brewing.

Klieman and Van Malone came by the Golden Cat event and spoke for a couple minutes - very cool.  It was clear they really care about having former players come by practice and the complex.  I don't recall ever seeing Snyder stop by an event w/in a couple hours of game time.

Just a great day in terms of weather, touchdowns and more touchdowns.

The new president was cruising around in the parking lot giving all the kids call hall ice cream out the back of a golf cart and pulled up to our spot on the west side and was handing it out. I recognized him as someone I should know but couldn’t place him until he left. Pretty cool. Looks extraordinarily young.

Cruised by our tailgate as well...would have been a lot cooler if those purple coolers had cold beer in them.

no gEing here. Been there for the Cotton Bowl 2011. Maybe it's better now.

Was at the Cotton Bowl after 2011 season vs Arky, and a Cowboys game in last couple years - the stadium is a palace.  Get there early to gawk at it.  Actually - for out of staters coming down asking about Texas Live - it just opened in the last year ish.  Went there for drinks before the Green Day / Weezer concert in July.  It is KC Power and Light on steroids.  Pretty cool place and is adjacent to the new Rangers ballpark and Jerry's World, park close and easy walk to the stadium.  It will be packed w/purple tonight.  Give it a look - cool place for the younger crowd or those w/kids in tow.

I have officially reconsidered going to this game. Getting a little FOMO right now. Considering that it’s Labor Day weekend and stuff. I potentially might be at this game now.

I still have tickets left trying to unload.  Section 110 Row 2.   5 seats left.  45 yard line behind KState bench.

Really tough timing here.  Was expecting bunch of fam to come down for the Stanford game, but our plans are coming undone due to covid...I'm now sitting on 13 tickets on Rows 1 and 2 of Section 110 behind K-State bench - 45-50 yard line.  Just listed the first group of 5; Section 110 Row 1 seats 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.  These rows are about 10 feet above the turf.

Just listed the first group of 5 seats on Row 1 on stubhub, (where I bought them).  I am listing them at $199, less than the $243 per each that I paid all-in with fees/taxes.  Hope to get these to some K-State fans that will be rowdy, cheer on the Cats, and have a great gameday experience.  Looking like we may be stuck on the couch.

Club Hall of Fame 110
Row 1 | Seat(s) 3,4,5,6,7
Check out these tickets on StubHub! Allstate Kickoff Classic: Stanford vs Kansas State on Saturday, 9/4/2021, 11:00 AM at AT&T Stadium, Arlington - who's in? View this event on StubHub: https://www.stubhub.com/en/event/104808442/

I haven't posted the other 8 (yet), they are Club Hall of Fame 110
Row 2
Seat 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8.  Paid $228/each for them.  Great seats, but our loss might be somebody else's gain.  Reach out if interested.
