Early in the DoD (‘93/‘94) we had easy to break goalposts, and we were tearing them down about every other game as we were breaking losing streaks with a lot teams. Remember hearing a story that the athletic dept was getting pissed about having to replace the goalpost all the time, so Snyder started paying for them with his own money. Probably another reason we got the refundable goalposts.

Hilarious that K-State takes pictures with all these recruits wearing bad-ass alternate helmets and uniforms but we hesitate to wear them during the season.

While I don't disagree (and realistically I want to at least eliminate silver and replace it with white as are normal go to) we have, as far as I know, won maybe once? If not ever using those unis and it has not gone unnoticed. Not saying it should ever be indicative of how we play, or even what we should do when it comes to alt unis but it's def odd we have such weird bad luck when we do go alt.

We should do it against a nobody and erase the bad luck that way imo.

It's funny you say that; did you know silver is not a standard KSU color.  Colors are purple, white, and black.

We technically are only purple, that's it. IIRC we have silver to make us look more like the Dallas Cowboys.

For the last few decades, Pantone 877 silver has been an official KSU color. The new branding guidelines, however, no longer list silver, but now list grey (silver is really just reflective grey). Now the official greys are 20% black, 40% black, and Pantone Cool Grey 9 as a secondary color.

Do they do BBQ in Iowa? Thought that most of their cuisine was bits of pork (unfit for export to other states) that had been heated in a pressure cooker served with boiled beets and hominy.

No, they do not have BBQ in Iowa. When you try to explain it it them, they think you’re talking about sloppy joes.

The rumblings are it’s medical related which probably isn’t surprising to anyone who has listened to him talk for more than 5 minutes.

I was listening to the KU game vs ISU a couple weeks ago while in the car (mainly for the Hanni lulz) and at half time they had their little interview with Miles. And no exaggeration I was like "WTF he legit sounds demented or drunk or both".

Guys, before the game, he didn’t even know who K-State is.

5
KU’s helmets today.   :Yuck:

Do they have tire tracks across the jayhawk’s face?

What a shitty gifter. He can’t just let a soldier keep a lapel pin. 10 years later, he still holds a grudge?

Yeah, there's some old codgers that are taking this as an affront to Snyder and everything he built. Pretty ridiculous.

It was surprising that OBz even let us keep the powercat that he single-handedly designed after we canned his ass.

You do know OB gets royalty fees on every sale of the Powercat.

Well sure, he created it.

Tom Bookwalter created the powercat, and Snyder does not get any royalties.

Could someone please explain to me why that Mo Bamba song is a thing?

That's not even good rap.

Also, eff OU. Their line held throughout the game and it was never called. This was the right call and it didn't cost them the game. Them not scoring more points than us in the 2nd and 3rd quarter cost them the game.

Yeah, I was noticing that.  It happened a lot, and once OU found out that they weren't going to get called on it, it got worse.  The defensive stats are amazing based on that handicap alone.

Not to mention the block in the back that may ended Eric Gallons career.

They hated him when he was a player because he lost to Arizona or someone. They booed him during his speech when he tied a national championship.

the craziest willie thing I've ever seen in my life was during a football game somewhere around i'll guess 1998. the game started with willie who appeared to very normal willie. he did super normal willie stuff at the time and looked super normal doing all of it. then halftime came and the next thing you knew willie was a few inches shorter, seventy pounds heavier and left handed. truly bizarre. did first half willie get sick? arrested at halftime? lost a bet to a roommate and had to let him be willie for half a game? no idea but for one half of a football game, fat left handed willie was quite the site to behold. truly mezmerising.

The first willie in that game was a friend of mine.
We scored around 70 points that game, and the number of pushups broke him. Had put in the 2nd string willie for the rest of the game.

A little surprised no love for Elijah Leek or Yamon Figbars. I really have very little in my life anymore. Was hoping this was my one chance.

When he was a TV reporter, didn’t KK get banned from the Royals’ locker room after Hal Mcray threw a glass ash tray at him?

The whole Crystal Ball thing on 247 I don't understand, but they have 100% Cats.

It’s based on 1 prediction which was made by Ryan Wallace.

Did Dana run off Sams?

To inform the staff he has hired chuck "tac it on" long and denied Hayes request to retire.

I got lost in the rumor storm, do we actually know if Chuck Long has been hired?  Likewise, do we actually know of any staff changes / people coming back (other than Dimel leaving)?  It feels like a massive rumor storm with only two nuggets of confirmed truth:  Snyder is back and Dimel is headed to UTEP.

Look we know some things but the reality is we have been told to sit on it until the timing is better.  I'd like to give you more right now but my hands are tied.

Who woulda guessed WetWillie was Fitz... did not see that one coming...

[you] has been on to me for months, I assumed everyone was.

Yep.
