Stay where you have a chance.

Good point. I'd like to continue to enjoy scoring multiple touchdowns on TCU every year.

They were only ranked in the BCS poll not the coaches or AP. So basically their only noncon win over a top 25 team came from a team that was only ranked because of a system the NCAA threw out because it wasn't good enough.

I'm about 99% sure that Central Arkansas turned it over three times. There was the DJamer interception in the first half, the Goolsby fumble recovery and the Kyle Ball fumble recovery.

Saban has caused so many good sec coaches to lose their jobs. I get that those programs want to win the conference for once, but nobody they bring in as a replacement is gonna beat Saban either.

I used chromecast for quite a few games last year. It worked great most of the time, but every once in a while you would miss a play because it had to buffer or you had to reset the app.

You definitely can through the chrome browser, but unless the bar has good wifi it probably won't stream well. Not sure if there's a casting option through the video player on the site though as that would obviously work better.

Yup. Any and all shoutouts in England. I don't know if it is just in England or uefa or FIFA.

Must just be England. They used ABAB in the German super cup Saturday.

oscar said that Bedoya is leaving for his kid's birth. I would think Sean Johnson is leaving as well as Hamid/Guzan if the rumors that Gonzalez is coming in are true.

What are the chances he's wanting to transfer to Charlotte? If that's the case, maybe weee not releasing him because we play them week 2. Seems weird to hold him even for that, but maybe that has something to do with it.

He asked for a release to 35 schools, none in the Big12 or on future schedules.  All 35 denied.

Then I really don't get any of this, but I'm not the one getting paid to make these decisions.

Did anyone else hear Bukaty say that KU has won in Manhattan much more recently than Okie State? Because I'm pretty sure he said that and it's 100% not true.

Kansas State Football / Re: WHO'S EXCITED FOR K-STATE FOOTBALL!?
« on: September 27, 2016, 01:01:55 PM »
We're 12th in rushing defense if you look at stats that matter. I was surprised to see that we allow more points per play than West Virginia. They allow more yards per play than us, though.

Honestly, points per play is a dumb stat. It rewards defenses for giving up a few first downs then forcing a punt compared to defenses that force a 3 & out or a quick turnover. Points per possession is probably the best stat to evaluate a defense by.

That's always what I figured. He also parlayed it into a broadcasting gig for a while.

I think he still occasionally does some broadcasting stuff with fox like the Big 12 media days.

As long as were taking in transfers, we should pursue Kendall Sheffield who just announced he is transferring from BAMA. Although, he will probably end up at KU, where all BAMA transfers go.

He's going to Blinn, but maybe we can get him when he's finished there.

i'll admit i am still confused on the 126 yd deal. the endzones are more than 10 apiece? the field is longer than 100?

Magic. I'd think it would only be 120 yards tbh (20 yard deep endzones), but I don't know CFL rules too well.

I think CFL fields are 110 yards so midfield is the 55 yd line. I'm not sure, I'm just basing this off the CFL game I watched part of like 2 years ago.

Kansas State Football / Re: Big XII: What could have been Edition
« on: August 16, 2016, 12:01:04 AM »
BigXII is a dead man walking.  Once Texas and OK flee the coop it's over.

"How Nebraska, Colorado, Mizzou, and most of all, Texas A&M killed the Big 12...."

http://texags.com/forums/6/topics/2770127/1
I'm not reading that but if nobody except aTm left, nobody would really give a eff. The aggies are so below Texas it kills them.

Only the Aggies left?  Lol.  You forget that Nebraska, Colorado, and Mizzou are long gone as well and aint coming back.

Not a good look for a conference trying to remain relevant as the bottom feeders of the P5.  Yeah, right, the BigXII will snatch up Clemson or FSU.  Why not court LSU or Arkansas?  Good luck with that.  Maybe Mississippi State is available.

The Texas Techs, Baylors, KSU's, ISU's, and TCU's of the world are on the verge of finding out they're no more relevant than Houston, Cincy, Memphis, UConn,or UCF to the money driven sports world of college football.  MWC or AAC anyone?   Nothing wrong with divisional rivalries with SMU, Tulsa, New Mexico, or Tulane.

Isn't the Liberty bowl the best bowl game they've made since 2011? I mean, we had a really down year this year and made it to the same bowl. I know they had a ku like conference losing streak, but still  :frown:

I heard Snyder is only having practice twice a week until the bowl game.  Thinks the guys deserve rest after a strong finish and generally isn't all that concerned about Arkansas.

I'm somewhat surprised were bothering to practice at all. I guess we might as well get the younger guys some reps for next year though.

This is just a young talented team still learning how to win. With that farm system and those draft picks, the pennants are gonna come.

I'm excited. I like baseball season.

me too.  warm weather.

Ya. I also like not being nervous about the outcome of any games. It's fun cheering for a team without caring whether they win or lose.

We've come a long ways.
