They want him to play for free so the team can survive past the first weekend of the tourney. Thus establishing the "legacy" that will help feed him and his family for generations.
Since Rock Chalk Park is so important for ku to move on to removing the track. First hand accounts from the 'Bash indicate that the stadium portion of Rock Chalk Park was awarded on no bid contracts to a construction entity that's known for cutting corners. Lot's of talk of their construction not being up to spec, corners cut, and way to thin concrete in places. 3 guesses who the contracts were awarded to . . .
The also apparently built a "world class" facility that has no restrooms on one entire side that has several thousand seats.
The track itself is pretty nice, everything else sounds like it was done on the cheap on an inbred bid award.

OSU shooting a much higher percentage wasn't so much a matter of luck, imo. I think it was more a matter of layups/dunks they got all afternoon

also, my heart goes out to west virginia fans, this has been a tough year.
I think what gives me most comfort is that this group of guys has had a lot of success in the Big 12 tournament. So you know they are going to go in confident. Been there, won that sort of mentality.

He had really really really good HS basketball teams.
He doesn't. He was only a high school head coach for seven years in Peoria with his last season in 2001. He didn't even recruit at Illinois the last few years if not longer. Just stayed on campus while oscar and Jerrance recruited their balls off. The role he has at K-State is a good one for him. If someone needed their ass chewed it was Wayne that did it. He is oscar's bad cop. Also a great guy and confirmed stud.
