When did the o-line start sucking?
This. Went from totally chic, to totally geek.

Stiverson needs to be excommunicated from the team.

OLine chemistry started screwing up once they started rotating him in when he came back from injury, IMO.

It doesn't help when one of your homerun threats is gimping around and ultimately out of the game because you couldn't take a knee or put in the 2nd teamers the week before.

When you've got crap depth, why do you run meaningless plays when you're up by 3 TD's with 2 minutes on the clock with the 1st team in the game.

Especially when you call options plays to run out the clock, when you never ran them earlier in the game when you should have to keep an over aggressive D somewhat honest.

The LHC LHC Bill Snyder conundrum:  he emphasizes consistency but when things like this happen he gets all inconsistent.  What gives?

Dana Dimel special.  Hopefully, the pucker doesn't continue with a conference title still there for the taking.

Yeah, tonight I was getting flashbacks of the LHC LHC Bill Snyder who lost the '96 Cotton Bowl due to panicking.

Weird stuff.

Exactly.  Make it way more complicated than required.

Who has the best roast beef sandwich  :dunno:

Well, following classical journalism etiquette, he will not spill yet. not until he has written a great respectful piece on that culinary creation. and god knows that's not happening.

..but honestly, its probably P-Sub.

Does it come with a pickle spear on the side?

Now that Winters and Dlew12 have both Gronk'd, they're on a whole different level than every one else.

They might have taken it to the next level and got a case do Gronkitis.

Northwestern had 7 Turnovers . . . Snyder will go to a knee on every snap before he commits 7 turnovers.

Funny, but true.

Just think of it as perpetual new sod...  :dunno:

That never takes root...  :frown:

That's what I tell myself.

Dr. Wayne Norvell.  Any prof that holds chalk like he's smoking a cigarette and bags on ku and Stanford business schools at any opportunity is tops.  He was EMAW to the core... RIP.

Jank lost a bet to 'Te from the Illini State loss to K-State in the NIT two years ago.  He's paying up finally -- has to serve as 'Te's DD on a recruiting trip.

Feel bad for all the bar owners around the KC area that are now going to have to contend with the drunk, pissed off ku bandwagoners tearing the place up and getting into fights.

... and not paying their bar tabs on top of it. FACT

It was a effing bullcac call, we had two guys boxing out ginger and we got the foul.  Don't fault him at all for blowing up.
that ginger kept falling on his back like it was friday night and time to 'just experiment'
And, a Johnson County Ginger at that...

Hire Frank Leonard as TE coach

OMG. He's good at EVERYTHING. :surprised:

we don't deserve him  :frown:

I've religiously followed KSU recruiting for over ten years, and I've seen video for three players that made me think, "How in the Hell is this guy not being recruited by bigger programs?"

1) Darren Sproles
2) Zac Robinson
3) Daniel Sams

And my comparison between Robinson and Sams videos was like  :dunno: for Robinson and  :horrorsurprise: for Sams.

If he actually signs and qualifies, he'll be the best prep recruit we've landed since Freemaw.

Agreed... but, switch 2 and 3.  Can't say I've ever seen an option pitch like @ 1:28... UNSELFISH.  Man among boys.  Hope Sams' Mom didn't go to Okie Lite  :ohno:

Kansas State Football / Re: It's Patterson!
« on: January 01, 2011, 09:45:45 PM »
TCU actually lost that game eliminating them from any chance of a BCS game that year.

It is a fairly small leap of logic that Fitz had a source telling him "It's Patterson" and the only hold up is if TCU made the BCS he wanted to coach the BCS bowl game.  Once that was no longer an issue Fitz attempted to break the story.

I forgot they lost the Utah, I stand corrected... again, when was the last time coaches changes are announced on November 7th?  It's jacked up cac regardless of being eliminated from BCS contention and trying to "break" the story.  I was  :bang: that afternoon, because it made no sense even before GP imploded on DFW radio... and before the "insidery" stories came to being.

I suspect that OB swooped in at the last second and Wefald pulled the trigger and told Patterson to go eff himself cause his old buddy was coming back...but what the hell do I know?  :dunno:

Loads, I'd say.

That's actually pretty close to the insidery grumblings of the "true story."  However, there are also grumblings that the Fitz announcement accelerated the moving pieces and didn't allow for cooler heads to prevail...forcing one path instead of the other.

This isn't rocket science.  How often does a report come out  on November 7th announcing that a head coach is going to leave one program for another when his team has one regular season game remaining (after his team just had their biggest game of the season the previous night) and the school he is reportedly going to has three regular season games remaining?  Ummm, normally coaching moves occur, at the soonest, immediately after the regular season ends for coach and schools involved.

If the above situation isn't jacked-up, then I don't know what is.  But, of course this did occur... and we know the actors involved...

Also Matt has water on the brain.  That or we have a new guy named Jamal Samuels.

Well, he was on the same 7AM flight out of LaGuardia this morning as myself so he was in both Manhattans today.  Since he was in coach and not first class, I'll cut him some slack.

 were hard to come by in coach...

Pretty obvious that Cheney is a dentist-less town.

The only BCS school he has a chance of being the HC at is Oregon State.

Following the 2000 snow bowl, all of the nubbers left the stadium rather quickly except for one nubb who wandered onto the field in the midst of everyone else rushing the field.  He just stood on the visitors sideline near the south end zone looking up into stands.  But, no one looked at him since everyone was watching the attempts to take down the goal posts.

He slowly took his foot and made a huge 'S' in the snow... from there, you can guess the remaining three letters to spell out 'feces' in huge bold letters in the snow on Wagner Field.

To this day, I am  :bang: for not having any type of camera to capture the moment.  It's not every day you can catch a classy nubb losing it after a loss like that.  I'm sure he applauded the Cats leaving the field after they had just beaten his beloved 'skers.

Secondly, Nebraska was in such a hurry to get back to Lincoln after the game that their equipment truck was loaded up except for something that probably shouldn't have been overlooked.  Players' sideline jackets -- you know, the big, cape type ones.  It made for some interesting souvenirs of the game for some K-State students...  I'm sure they've had Matt Davidson, Dominic Raiola and Eric Crouch autograph them since then.

That 1991 game still haunts.  Had the game by the ballz and let it slip away.  Chad May was sharp that day.

Impossible, unless you're talking about what he was doing at Cal State Northridge.

Oops... Fullerton instead.  He did light up Pacific that day in a battle of "to be killed" programs.  :gocho:

Cosh and Snyder have been running a very vanilla D through the first four games.  Expect them to open up the D Playbook this week and domination to ensue.

I picture you chanting this in a group of other people dressed in white pajamas.

I love the "open up the playbook" talking point.  Even though your post only refers to D, it's awesome how Tards believe there's a magical Chapter 2 of the playbook that will allow our offense to flow like wine.  Like we wouldn't have opened up the playbook just a little when UCLA took the lead, or we sure as hell wouldn't have opened up the playbook against UCF after racking up a whopping 43 yards of offense at halftime.

Chapter 2 is the blitz package where Hrebec slams into the Tackle instead of the Guard and looks like he just hit a brick wall . . .

So true, yet so embarrassing.  Which leads to the surprise sack Slaughter had in the 4Q against UCF off of a blitz from the edge -- the book must have fallen open to the Index page for that one.

It gets worse in the 4Q when AH just dances with the guard, soon to be tackle come Thursday night.
