Also, I don't care if its cliche (and it very much is) I like it. Its fun to have some different stuff to have fun with surrounding K-State football. I'm not even sure if half the posters at gE even like K-State even more.

thought the same at times

i'm in wait and see mode here.  staff choices and early recruiting wins/losses should be fairly telling.

KK also saying the deal fell through because SL wouldn't agree to a giant buyout

Fwiw, him sticking around a couple years too long drove off Currie and made his son a completely unviable candidate.

lol no

Fair to laugh but if bill steps down after 2012 he maybe gets away with handing it to sean.  And if he does it 2 yrs ago after the cancer and Currie hires leavitt then good chance Currie is still here.

Anyway, whatever.  It's over now, and after enduring these last couple of years I couldn't be happier.

Surprised there hasn't been a report yet of Bill showing up to Vanier today acting like nothing changed.

I never waivered in my faith in pete.  And I haven't even posted here in 5 years.  Excellent work as always, gE beats em all again.

I don't think teamburnitdown should be suspended until oscar either lands a 5-star, beats ku, wins the conf tournament,  or wins a couple ncaa tournament games.

teamburnitdown officially disbanded

yeah that's the problem...I don't see a path to victory for us.  we don't rebound like sdsu does and we won't be able to score inside like sdsu did.  I do think we can defend equally as good.  but the best that does is ugly the game up and keep it low scoring.  prob a 10-12 pt loss which will keep most of the weberites happy.

13
apparently the athletic dept. is calling directly to sell their holiday and conference ticket packages (during the blowout to Georgetown lol).  was an easy chance to tell them I'm not buying till Weber is gone.  I felt bad for the girl calling, though it seems she was well prepared for the response.

easy winner

Wooldridge never lost to this shitty of a team in Manhattan, congrats Weberites

wrong, lost to W. Carolina.  I was there.

a mid-major coach, a mid-major team with a pg who should be at emporia st and 6'7 "big" men.

the worst part is everyone except the AD knew this would happen.

17
"winning" the big 12 last year ultimately set us back more than anything.  bought weber at least 3 more years.

only hope is a winless big 12

18
this signing made me happy because this was setting up to be one of those "man ku might be down" seasons then like the rest they still win the big 12 and win some games in the tourney and everyone is all pumped.  now with the added expectations on a young team, only disappointment is possible.

no one wants to talk about why self hasn't recruited the same since the probation years, ticket scandals, and ncaa recruiting changes like not being able to hire player's fathers on your staff, and trying to keep his one-and-done players from going pro....ect ect.  its all finally coming home.

Hahahaha!!

The guy after me was so pissed that I called ku an embarrassment to the entire state of Kansas that he forgot his comment.

 :billdance:

lol that was you?  excellent work.  that dude after you was just lost for words.

i like how there was another guy who said is the entire ku team sick with the flu and bill self isn't talking about it?  pfft.

what would firing him cost us?  Whats the buyout?
It's costing Illinois over 3 million...Think about that for a second. Illinois is paying Weber over 3 million to NOT coach the team lol.

Don't buyouts usually only extend until they have found a new job?  Or was the buyout of thinking of a unique situation? (Also, I can't remember which buyout I'm thinking of.)
Illinois has to pay Weber 1.2 mil for the next 3 years I believe so he is currently one of the highest paid coaches in basketball with our money and your's combined for the next few years..Our last AD was a rough ridin' idiot..Seems like he and Curry would be good buddies.

kill me if we offered oscar a turner gill-esq fully guaranteed contract

must not have been in his contract that he wouldn't get paid if he got hired immediately after getting fired.

No matter what oscar is getting a crap ton of money to be terrible at coaching basketball.
