Good for Arthur. Hopefully he has a good first 3 years then gets a nice fat veteran contract.

I hope he steps right into Ray's shoes and keeps the tradition going.  If Ngata is healthy and Dumerville regains his form they could still be a formidable D for the foreseeable future...

so a good friend of mine is a highly esteemed college professor. he is doing research right now on kansas state fans and it is his current feeling that there is enough data to suggest that all of our brains have been chemically altered in a way that makes us expect to win a big12 championship every three months and that if something isn't done to add a fourth sport during the summer,  we may all be at high risk of permanent long term damage.

he's still crunching numbers you guys, but this guy is smart and if he's saying it then we all need to listen. forward this to all emaw that you know that don't visit this bbs. this unprecedented success could actually come back to get us. add the fourth sport big 12! add it now before it's too late!

Until we start doing illegal things we will never compete with the big dogs

Well said.  You ain't cheating then you ain't trying!

McLemore isn't going #1.

My one super-insidery NBA source (seriously, I have one) says Ben Mac is labeled "soft" by some NBA GM's and they wouldn't take him anywhere in the top 10.  (In all fairness, he says a few industry folks have him as a top 3 pick...but none of those are with a club projected to have any shot at a top 3 pick).  Just FYI...

Waters went to community college, no way he picks up the play book quick enough.

Dude, Bishop picked up the playbook and he didnt get to campus until like August.

LMAO at Bishop "picking up the playbook". Christ...

I have very large concerns about our basketball future as we move into the Post Tunnel Dance Era.  We really need strong minutes from two of these three people  DJamer, Diaz, Fincher. If two of them step up we could compete for the big 12. If one steps up we still make the NCAA tournament. If we get nothing we lose about every other game in conference. For reference I am talking 5 points 6 rebounds per game minimum.

I would expect that Angel will average 36 minutes a game at point.
Will will average 30 minutes,
Omari 26 minutes (10 for Will and 16 for Shane at SG),
Shane 34 minutes  16 at PF,
Nino 20 minutes and
Gipson and DJamer 20 minutes each at 5.

Starting Lineup

PG    Angel   JR.                Orris  So.                              Thomas Fr.    Probable Redshirt
G      Will      Sr.                Omari Sr.                       Foster Fr.
G   Shane   Sr.                    Westicles Fr.
PF    Nino     Jr.                     Fincher Fr.
C    Gipson  Jr.            DJamer  So. ,   Diaz  Jr.

Chief Tunnel Dancer
Starting                                     Reserve

Shane      :horrorsurprise:             Angel         :dubious:

That starting 5 is palatable.  That bench has the potential to be the worst in the conference.

I think we sneak in as a double digit seed next year.  We'll win a game or two we shouldn't...

well, agree to disagree.

Pullen was great.  Bease was great.  Angel is very good...most of the time.  That was an awful game for him yesterday.  Great requires consistency and he doesn't have it yet.  Also has a limited upside unless he finishes a better % of his takes at the rim.

Sophomore Angel dominates sophomore Pullen statistically while being asked to do a lot more. I mean he's really better at everything but 2fg%. it's pretty impressive.

Nobody considered sophomore Pullen "great" though.  This is a terrible speaking point.  Not giving in though huh?  LOL

Dudes, they just had their "game of the tournament" tonight.  Excuse me if I don't see them hitting 10+ three's against us Friday.  We will motion them to death and rebound most of their misses.  We win by double digits.  We don't suck.

15
zacker has entered "trying too hard" territory now. Pump the brakes a bit bro.

meh.  we should beat lasalle, but they will give us some problems.  if we don't handle them well and have a bad night offensively, then we'll get beat.  i mean, it's the tournament, these are good teams, crap happens.

Neither of these teams would finish in the top 6 in the B12.  Texas the last two weeks of the season would beat both of these teams.

1st   Pace   PPP   eFG%   TO%   OR%   FTR
La   28   1.25   64.8%   14.3%   15.4%   3.7%
Boi   28   0.97   57.1%   32.2%   33.3%   23.8%

Very little defense played. As expected, La Salle forced TOs, but you can get shots on them. Boise played terrible defense.

Both of these teams are garbage and we will chew their faces off.  'Cats by 10 regardless of which of these festering wounds winds up facing us...

Pullen almost beat those pasty fucks single-handedly. Angel, McGruds, Tay and Shane will carve them up all day.

^^
This.  We have scoring options that Wiscy has not faced before.  We've got this.

Yes, teams like Michigan has no way of scoring the ball in comparison to the sharp shooter cats  :dubious:

Luckily, we've got some big, physical, experienced post players to match up with these guys.

If  the game  is  in KC I might  have  to  sell a  farm or  two  to  get good seats  so those damn  'sconnie  boys  can  hear me  loud  and  clear.

They will pound us.

Real hard.  Complete dry hump, and no reach around : /

Sweet 16 or bust.

This is a talented team full of upperclassmen.  Agree 100% here.

A lot of negativity in this thread.  I'm a glass half full kind of guy, so I won't say I hate Smart, I'll say that I love Angel.

Oh man.  I thought after the miserable poor's from Mizzou left this would improve.  Forgot about lil' bro and their tantrums...

Dear oscar; don't go with the play faster/attack the paint plan we used in Lawrence.

I'd rather much rather see 30 3PTAs again.

I would like to see both...attack Withey, and if it doesn't look good kick for a three.  I just don't want JO or Gip trying to muscle the ball in there.

After looking like they had pogo sticks last game, I don't recall one single dunk tonight.  I was pretty pak'd...but really...not one dunk?
