Hey, I heard some insidery rumored tidbits about Phil's time as a head coach at SMU.
During a coaching staff meeting, things became heated and one assistant coach pulled a gun on another staff member. He soon left the staff "to pursue other opportunities."
Phil's coaching staff screamed so many profanities during practice that it became an issue and was in violation of some obscenity clause or something. The outdoor practice field was near an elementary school. The school district staff asked multiple times for them to stop, but they didn't. So finally the SMU legal team worked out a deal with the school district that all practices during elementary school time would take place in the indoor practice facility, otherwise the school district was going to take it to court with video and sound recordings.
Phil landed a qb recruit the old-fashioned way. He hired the recruit's mom to "clean his house." This meant that once a week she showed up and took an envelope of cash from his home.
Don't know if these are true, but there ya go.

My granddaughter's husband became verbally abusive less than a year after they tied the knot, wanted her to quit grad school and start having babies, and most of all, to stop spending so much time with friends. Eventually, they got into a big fight and he started throwing things against the wall and she had to lock herself in the bathroom. Yada yada yada. She moved out. The divorce is final. He tried to talk the security guards into letting him into her new building. Sent her weird things. Her new building was infested with bed bugs. Felix Rex gave good advice. She seems to be rid of him. And she just has to finish up her thesis to get her M.A.

So anywho, Freeman wasn't amazing or anything. That INT was at least half his fault. And they had to rely on a defensive score to beat the very bad Titans who had an atrocious backup qb. But I still hope it indicates Freeman can get a job as a backup somewhere in 2016.

Felix, hope you and your family are doing well. I have nothing exciting to report. The happy couple got married earlier this week and the wedding went off without any problems. They did have to move it up one day because a protest group scheduled a huge rally in the park where they had the reception. My grand-daughter and daughter seemed far more excited about the henna (?) ceremony the day before the wedding. Apparently it is some deal where the families get together and paint their toenails or something. I didn't really pay attention to the explanation. After the wedding, a bunch of bombs went off in Cairo, but everyone from the families left for a resort with a beach. They sent pictures and it looks like a good time.
The only bad news is the new husband hasn't been able to get permission to leave the country for a visit to the USA. Maybe it will be easier now that he is married to a U.S. citizen.

Mocat, she is ok. A couple months ago she had some kind of flu and went to the U's version of Lafene. Some "incompetent foreign doctor" prescribed her 8 medications, all of which she stupidly took. Once she went home, the meds didn't mix well and she had a seizure and stopped breathing (briefly). It was during a curfew, so no cops/ETs could or would help, so the husband-to-be had to drive her and was chased part of the way to the hospital. She's fine now and they are getting married in a few days in Cairo. She loves her masters program and has had lots of classes cancelled due to curfews, insurgencies, and riots. Her parents are drinking a lot of vodka to cope, so everything is fine!
