You can still buy bags made from the old Metrodome roof from the first time it collapsed.

Ought to bring Minnesota's coach back to Kansas.

Never gonna happen.

First- even if it were a slight step up, why would he leave?  He's at a big ten program with a new stadium in a big city.  Plus people like him up here.  It's his program and he's been stacking up signature wins.

Second- why in the world would he go there?  Why would you leave a tough situation at a p5 program to go to a tougher situation at a p5 program?  It Florida calls, then that's one thing.

I think a lot of the posters over there are clever as hell, and their ability to troll other fanbases' boards is nothing short of inspirational (and I'm not generally much of a fan of trolling).  It always makes me chuckle when the true tucks on this board run around on other fanbases' boards and warn them about the "childish" meanies over there, and how they're not "real K-State fans"...seriously, most of the resident posters over there are hilarious, and I have no doubt I would have a blast getting hammered with them.

That being said, I actually have to agree with a lot of what you posted.  Especially the part about it being "too much stinking work" and "not for the guy that wants to catch up a couple of times a week or even daily" (which perfectly describes me).  Much as I prefer to live in an area where my views are considered more "conservative" than the norm (i.e., surrounded by "liberals" - I would probably be viewed as a flaming liberal by Kansas standards, hence the Oregon residence), I also prefer to spend my online time surrounded by those more "tuckish" than myself.

For better or for worse, you are my family, GPC.  Every tucking one of you.

Now look what you punks have done.  We have tucks calling out people for being bigger tucks than themselves.  I hope you're happy with yourselves.

You stole dozens of cheese slices from my fraternity's fridge.  Were they tasty?

Just thankfully got out of North Dakota after 3 years. It's way more terrible than any of these pictures can show. Such a pud state full of losers and oil trash.

Austin
Sounds like he has to get in first. Texas does sound like a lot of fun. I always wondered what little brother's school would feel like.
Correctimundo.  Austin is a big win here, but the odds are always terrible.  It's not med school or law school bad, and obviously being a :kstategrad: helps,  but most good programs get around 90 applications per year and accept maybe 3 or 4.
Best of luck, notsure. Best of luck!

My Minnesota Wild are gonna surprise some people this year.  LOOK OUT

Gonna try and make it to a game in St. Paul this year.  Hopefully Suter and Parise tear it up in an amount fitting their contracts.

West is certifiably bat crap nuts.  I'm embarrassed that he has any connection to the University

Thumbs up to those who see that as well.

How the hell is it possible for one team to beat another team by double digit points and lose to the same team by double digit points in the same god damn season?  Seems like one of the biggest coaching indictments you can have.

I've always wondered what "proven winner" means when it comes to coaching, particularly at the Div 1/NFL level.  Coaches who are proven winners at the highest level already have jobs, unless they retired or something.  If they're available, they either aren't proven winners at the highest level or got fired for failing to win consistently.  When I hear proven winner, I (we?) think of hires like BW.  Just a cop out and a lack of imagination or willingness to assume risk.  No doubt the Chiefs will hire someone at least as boring.

Thinking of the Cowboys gets me thinking about some of the most painful fanbases in professional sports.  They're perennial favorites in August and consistently crap the bed when it gets down to it.  As a fan, I think it's worse to experience success and never succeed again than to never win anything at all.  You can probably throw the Chiefs in there too, except expectations never seem to be that high I suppose.  Who else belongs in this category?  New York Knicks?  Minnesota Twins?

I really think WKU's mascot is the best in all sports.  I will practically stop whatever I'm doing to watch that rabid Dr. Seuss incarnation dance around.  There's something about an amorphic fuzzy blob that's endearing.

Wisconsin receives over 7 mil in subsidies :sdeek:

All of those schools with those budgets receiving subsidies should be ashamed

I can't believe Minnesota gives that much out in subsidies.  What a crappy return on that investment.

If there's one thing I know, it's that QB controversy ALWAYS helps teams.  Look at the NY Jets this year.  Stud Tebow and his Jesus mojo showed up and since then Sanchez has been owning it.  Look out, AFC East!

When players quit a program in spectacular fashion, there's usually smoke somewhere.  Minnesota had a star receiver quit and whine to the press about being denied a scholly and treated meanly by Kill.  Minnesota just built a badass new stadium on campus a few years ago, and they have higher expectations now.  I don't think Minn people like Kill, and the weird crap that went down this season player wise brought a lot of unwanted attention.  If they win 6 or less games next year- I think he's gone.  I don't know how the eff they suck so badly.  45,000 students in the middle of a large metropolis with solid facilities.  I don't understand how Wisconsin has been that much better than Minn for so long.

Funny thing is, with the competition implosion that's happened in that pud conference, I bet they can really start to compete in that crap division over the next few years.  They'll easily beat the newcomers for the forseeable future, and the other teams in the division definitely don't look to be getting any better anytime soon.  The next coach at Minnesota could really break out and look like a genius.

meh.  seems like a more traditional spot- plus it seems more appropriate since we now have more than one.  Hell- you've gotta display those somewhere.

I wish they would put our big 12 titles in font on the new press box instead of the flags by the jumbotron.  Since we've got a couple now, it would be pretty sweet.

are you sure about that?
