I hope OU smashes ND just to make Lou quit talking about them.

More of the same.  We let them get just close enough for hope.

Well right now there are only 4 or 5 schools that can call us stupid things like that (depending on which poll you look at).  Everyone else I refer to as "bitch."

Florida got a healthy jump for beating a very over rated LSU team.

I get that, and my opinion is probably swayed by their early drives and my overall hatred for KU and their coach.  Can't be perfect.

It is probably bad to say after a 40 point win, but I was expecting more from the defense.  It was a 40 point win bc ku played like ku in the second half.  They easily dropped some balls they should have caught.

Won't touch it. I mean, how can you predict over three quarters of garage time?

If Sams is playing, it's safe to predict quick touchdown drives.
I wouldn't mind seeing him getting a quarter to a half of the game.  I think we would have to pull a pretty big lead in the first half to see that though.  I am pretty excited about this guy in the coming years.

Bad Game
KSU - 35
KU - 20

Probably
KSU - 45
KU - 17

Great Game
KSU - 63
KU - 3

I hope we throttle them.  Not a Weis fan at all.

If we pull off a close one, we will probably be in the 8 to 10 range, with OU right behind us.

Hate to break it to all you proud parents, but nobody outside your family gives a crap about your kids.
We (parents) understand this, but no one is forcing you to read this thread.  :dubious:

When I took my son to his first game, we went with my folks and my wife came.  It wasn't bad because the grandparents wanted to play with him, so I didn't have to do much except hold him part of the game.   My wife wanted to take him to some this year (he is 2 now) and I don't think it would be such a good idea.
Your wife may be the love of your life, but she is bat crap crazy if she wants to bring a two year old to a game that has National Championship implications. You will be leaving by the middle of 2nd quarter.
I have made it clear that she can do what she wants, but whatever she chooses will not interfere with football.  I have very few rules in my house, but they are strict.

Just hired a UT grad in our office. Honestly, he's a great guy. We were socially hanging out one night and he came over in a UT shirt. Very modest; nothing burnt orange or anything. I still asked him to put on a K-State shirt if he's going to work in our office. He immediately took it off and changed.

This weekend, I will be breaking him into a little tailgating and then the best collegiate football experience ever in my family seats. I'm very excited to transition him to the winning team.

you sound like a dick, no offense
Yup.  Keep it up.

You may try Tomfoolries on the plaza.  They seem to carry quite a few games upstairs.

2 years ago, I took my 3 week old son to his first.  It was a special moment.

This thread inspired me to make another purchase.

I like that shirt!

I would really like to see the fans pack it in this year.  The hill and all.  I would like to see some new records set this year for fans attending games.  I have a feeling that the team will need all the support they can get with this tough of a schedule.

I do agree that the student section seems a bit tame in comparison to what it used to be...kind of sad.  When the old fogies fill in the numbered seats before the student section is even close to being full, that is sad.

I picked up three shirts, one for the wife, a jacket for the kid, 5 pictures for the office (three program covers, a powercat picture and the alma mater), two car flags, two car coasters, a few small decals, and have been wearing KState gear all week.  All but one person I work with is a KU fan, and I have already heard "wait til basketball season."  The wife also picked up some temp. tattoos and some KSU nail art.

Kansas State Football / Re: Favorite moment from last year?
« on: August 30, 2012, 08:01:34 AM »
Last year was about 3 years worth of great moments.

The comeback in the first game, while not against a good team, really set the tone for the year.  I was there, bored most of the game, and scared of the outcome.
The Miami stand was awesome.
The RGIII interception was great (I was in Paris listening to the game on an IPAD at 2 am).
The beat down that we gave KU was fun.
The 4 overtime win against A&M was exciting.
Beating Missouri and A&M for the final time in Big 12 play.
Owning all of the Texas schools (and Texas in particular is always a good time).

Picking one would be tough.

Ya'll are some interesting cats (no pun intended) but it is nice to see some fellow wildcats in Topeka.  Good people are a rarity here.

Northern Topeka folk are just plain weird.
I will just say there is a reason that I moved out of southern Topeka as soon as I could    :flush:

Anyone live up north?  I am just North of 46th in between Button and 75.  I need to get this figured out before the away games start!  Got to have a watch crew.

And lol at the rubes that took 46th to rochester road and waited 10 minutes at the stop sign.  Green hills road to 51st was the elite route.

That would be 50th, not 51st, but it is way better than taking 46th all the way to Rochester.

Slushies at Petro Deli, sometimes I miss them.
Petro has got to be one of the worst gas stations I have ever set foot in.  If you go in, you will smell like frying grease the rest of the day.  It is fitting if you see their large display of fried stuff I guess.
