I always thought it was Miller that had the issue with Daniel and not Dimel.  Miller is technically the passing game coordinator and QB coach, and he was the guy that recruited Waters.

Changed it.  Thanks, have to blame the right guy.

So this quote from GPC member, healthinv, who seems to have a friendship with DSams is interesting. Coupled with the fact that several years later Snyder was lamenting the way he played DSams and didnt play him more:

Quote
Definitely was Daniel's decision to leave but he didn't want to leave. However, he felt very strongly that one of the OC's didn't have his best interest at heart. From the plays called when Daniel was QB to giving him the appropriate time in practice to make sure he would get the required reps.

Who knows maybe had something to do with who the OC recruited to come play QB over Daniel, can't really say for sure. But yes, ultimately it was Daniel's decision.

Is there something to DEL MILLER purposefully trainwrecking games last year because he is at odds with Bill???  :dunno:

But it's fun to place blame on people based on conjecture!  DAMN YOU DEL :shakesfist:

GPCwallace said: ?

Minutes after Tre Jackson committed to Tulane this afternoon, I was able to connect with the cornerback by text message to find out what went wrong for the Wildcats.

After all, aside from distance, things appeared to be in favor of K-State on a number of levels:
K-State had the final visit, more fresh on his mind than TulaneK-State has the brand new, larger facilitiesK-State has an immediate need at cornerK-State has the appeal of playing in the Big 12 conferenceSo what happened? Here's the conversation via text:

WALLACE- "Whenever you get a chance, could you text me maybe two or three reasons you didn't choose KSU? Just curious to know. Thanks Tre."

JACKSON- "There aren't even three reasons. Distance wouldn't have been a problem if I would've had a longer relationship with the staff."

WALLACE- "Oh, so they just came back too late after your summer commitment then? They went away and tried to come back- that what you mean?

JACKSON- "Yes sir, I had to reach back out to them."

WALLACE- "Really? You had to contact them, not them contacting you?"

JACKSON- "Yes sir."

There's no sugar coating this recruiting issue. This is the type of thing that Fitz and I have been talking about for not only this season, but many before it.

And while it would be easy to blame Blake Seiler in this instance, and maybe you can do so partially, it's certainly not appropriate to slam the hardest working assistant with 100% of the blame. After all, as we've said countless times, this is a bigger problem that stretches above just the assistants.

I could expand on this in greater detail, and maybe I will after Signing Day, but this was a good (yet horrible) example of the drastic improvements that must and need to be made for the future of this program if it wants to stay in contention to compete for championships.

Yikes, when wally is complaining.

It's kind of ridiculous that no one of relevance has squashed these rumors, except kind of Crabby, although Venzy being in the midlands may be positive for us :crossfingers:.  I am sure Kellis and Fitz and DJamer Walburgers are constantly being asked about it, why not just say, yeah not gonna happen, no one thinks its going to happen?

right around the time blackcats first posted, our mutual jayhawk banker buddy asked me what I thought about BV as the potential next head coach.  at the time I didnt think anything of it, but now the timing intrigues me

OMB does know lots of wealthy western Kansas people.  Our mutual higher donor friends fiancee seemed to think there was no chance at all, but he was also pak'd and real aloof.  Just said "we're gonna be stuck with Sean."

Thanks for the advice guys. Jan 31 is the deadline to request the severance package.  So i guess i can see where i am at in the process of these other positions before then and decide to apply. I am geussing they would then negotiate with me when to leave, because i would have to hand off projects to other coworkers. I just havent been here long enough to accrue a good package, but i didnt even think about they would negotiate it.

So right before christmas our new vp said in 18 months our department would lose 54 of 100 some people.  Half.  They are oursourcing a pretty decent size, the rest gone in 18 months.  That night, i applied for 2 companies i really want to work for, and an old manager recommended me for some positions at his current firm also would work for.  Had an interview today, another thursday, and another next week.
The question is, even if i dont get these jobs should i apply for voluntary severence?  I havent been here long enough to get much, maybe a month and a half or two of pay, but it wont be available after Jan 31.  Is it worth the risk of not having a job because i think i can get one quickly?

there was talk of him not returning in 2016, but then it turned into he confirmed with Currie last week that he was returning
    :bawl:

confirms what i heard late last week

So the question is, did you hear something good, or just the song remains the same because bill wants sean?

This article is two years old, but it sounds like Frozen Four or NCAA wrestling championships are possibilities.

I'm serious, it's actually the figure skating championship.

My official guess is the Frozen Four.

http://www.collegehockeynews.com/reports/ncaa/futuresites.php

Going to have to wait until 2019 if so
The Final Four has their sites determined thru '21. Announcing now makes sense.

I've been sitting on this one for a long time you guys... it is the national figure skating championships!  WOOOO!

There may be a couple of actually exciting announcements in the next year though.

Jay Riley is an idiot.
He kind of raises a good question though. Seeking out examples like Jay basically outs you as a racist looking for an excuse to fly a racist flag, though.  Or was the issue it was state sanctioned vs just a public decision to wear disgusting (the south is gross) looking clothing? I assume its because it was on state govt land, but i dont have a keen pulse on public outrage.

you are not very intelligent
Well, you saying that doesnt surprise me.   Lib^7 posting pattern

Step 1. hop on whatever popular outrage bandwagon 96.5 tells you

Step 2. Hurl insults at and avoid any discussion with people who disagree with you.

Step 3. Desperately cling to precieved moral high ground because you dont have any critical thinking skills.

There are obviously subtleties to this flag thing that racist memes and facebook posts dont bring up, however, i think he raises a valid question.  Would Andre or Luda change their attire if they were asked about it now?  I'd be interested to know.

I'm still a registered repub because:

-I would like to be taxed less. I'm taxed a lot
-I'm late term pro-life
-I still have some left over pro-farm and pro-farm-subsidy (despite me knowing they are the dumbest) feelings and for some reasons the repub party has been the pro-farm party
-I believe we need to reduce unemployment and welfare benefits (but raise the min wage)
Reduced  welfare and unemployment benefits AND raise  minimum wage? Government subsidies might actually natrually go down with increased wages.

So a species does not develop for the advantage of reproduction?  Someone brought up bees...  the entire purpose of worker bees is the survival of the young, protection of and ensuring the survival of their species.

colonial insects are an interesting case.  people have argued that the colony is (can be thought of) as a single organism.  in such a model, the workers are like the body, caring for the reproductive insects, which are like the gametes.

regardless of whether you like such a model, the workers share genes with the queen and drones.  they work to perpetuate those genes.

Those people would be rough ridin' idiots:

http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2013/06/130617111341.htm

Quote
The researchers found that colonies where the queen had mated at least seven times were 2.86 times more likely to survive the 10-month working season. Specifically, 48 percent of colonies with queens who had mated at least seven times were still alive at the end of the season. Only 17 percent of the less genetically diverse colonies survived. "48 percent survival is still an alarmingly low survival rate, but it's far better than 17 percent," Tarpy says.

"This study confirms that genetic diversity is enormously important in honey bee populations," Tarpy says. "And it also offers some guidance to beekeepers about breeding strategies that will help their colonies survive."

Humans evolved to live in groups to make populations more diverse and... survival of the species through the young. Evolution was very altruistic, individuals behaving outside the bounds of this is exactly the discussion, is it not?

altruism in animals like humans is generally thought to have evolved because humans evolved in small social groups with whom they shared genes.  it can benefit an individual to behave altruistically among related individuals because the benefits help those related individuals pass along copies of shared genes (this is an extremely simplified synopsis, books have been written on the subject).

This whole argument is on point with reproduction, yes, groups act to ensure the survival of the group and young.  We try to pass our genes on, but we also search out more genetically diverse partners. I am assuming those books you mention also discussed genetic diversity within a group as a key factor in their survival.  Otherwise, these books ignored the fact humans would have died out long ago.

Are you trying to give a nature vs nurture argument with the whole culture and information passed from generation to generation is greater than other species?  I dont understand why it seems people are arguing against even looking at behavior from a scientific standpoint? as if its completely invalid to understand  specific behaviors since they're  protected?  Humans try to understand all sorts of behavior, why not people compelled to believe they're not the person they were born?

i don't understand this part.

Yes, ignore the first sentence not really relevant.  the rest was more a commentary on the general tone of others in the thread.

The species goes extinct without it. But otherwise, I totally agree. So in other words, I totally disagree.

the species does not care if it goes extinct.  the individual (the gene) does.  that's the difference.

So a species does not develop for the advantage of reproduction?  Someone brought up bees...  the entire purpose of worker bees is the survival of the young, protection of and ensuring the survival of their species.  Humans evolved to live in groups to make populations more diverse and... survival of the species through the young. You really don't know the difference between someone struggling with gender identity their entire life and making a decision in their mid 60's to very publicly live as a different gender than she was identified by for her entire life and someone who just decided to be black for shits and giggles? Dolezal sued Howard University as a freaking adult because she felt she was discriminated against for being white. Then just a few years earlier made false hate crime claims as a "black" person. GMAFB with acting like these two are anything alike, shame on you.

Also you certainly know the difference between brave and heroic right? I hope you're trolling, it would hurt my heart to have to call you stupid.

i don't troll.

you are making an assumption that dolezal chose to identify as black for shits and giggles.  that assumption is unwarranted, and i'm also fairly confident that it is incorrect.

i have no problem with jenner choosing whatever identity he wants, or altering his body in whatever way he wants.  i hope it provides him some relief for whatever pain his identity issues have caused him.  i don't think it was particularly courageous.  at least not in an admirable, exemplary way that is suitable of honoring by award.  i suppose being a reality tv star is courageous in its own way as well - certainly having a camera follow me around all day knowing they intend to air the footage would terrify me no end.  but i don't think that type of courage is something to be celebrated.

the analogy to dolezal is closer than you're admitting.  i don't consider her to be admirable either.  but i find it hard to accept that race is a less mutable part of one's identity that sex or gender.  indeed, if america thinks that, i'd find it a ver sad commentary on america.
Pretty rational and logical viewpoint, sys.
