What's going on in '26 that explains the big jump in every conference?

[NM, it's the expanded playoffs]  :blindfold:

Ranked 5th by on3 after day 2

Quote
5. Avery Johnson caught fire at the end of his session, finishing on target on 17 of 20 passes per On3 charting. The 6-foot-2, 175-pounder continued to show encouraging zip on his passes. Johnson was the last quarterback to go after standing around for several hours waiting his turn. You wouldn’t know it, given how he threw. The Maize (Kan.) High star’s best throw may have been on the backside rail shot. Johnson’s progression he’s shown as a passer through two days has been encouraging.
Assuming we land AJ, 6 of the top 10 QBs are headed to the Big XII (including Arch).

The Oregon dude is 90% confident that he's coming to K-State

Watching film reveals an obvious upgrade in talent level.  Freshmen often get shorted on PT when playing behind top level talent on good teams.

And losing as many one possession games as we did, demonstrates how poor oscar's clock management and play calling was.  It was mind-blowing watching us bungle in-bounds plays after a timeout.

"Bricklayers" would be good for the Hoopcats.

We're definitely going to be more athletic than any time since the Beaz/Walker/Sutton days

15
I like Finister's film.  Great vision and athleticism.  Really drives the hole.  Didn't see enough of his jumper though.

16
I wouldn't be opposed to bringing that weasel back in strictly a fund-raising/facilities role.  Just keep him away from an NCAA compliance role or any involvement with the coaching staff at all.

Should we be looking at a kicker and punter in this class ?

Probably not at punter, we have good class balance there and no seniors, but absolutely at the place kicker position.
Are there anymore Rheems?

edit: Or Cantelles

Help is on the way.

"Gaston has already told me he's committed to K-State, so I hope Coach Snyder will still be there (2026)," laughed Gramatica.

2016 4-star forward Romello White has asked for his full release from Georgia Tech.

He was very high on KSU in the fall. Here was a quote:

"
As it stands currently, K-State is one of those programs that fit the criteria.
"The coaching staff, I really like them," the power forward said. "And what they have with playing time, and coming in and trying to be a leader for the team, I really like that."
Recruited primarily by Wildcats assistant coach Chester Frazier, a relationship White says is good, K-State is on the short list of schools "

White has since exploded up the rankings moving up almost 50 spots and getting his fourth star. There will be lots of schools trying to get involved if he gets his release, but KSU was already in good standing with him.
You cant honestly think oscar will close on him, do you? Not a chance.

He's already decommitted from Tennessee so I won't be holding my breath.

Looks slow and unathletic.  Plus he shoots from the chest.  Nice stroke, if he'll ever get a shot off with an actual defense.

 :dunno:

No love for Dom? Loved watching him play. Frank was not the right coach for him though.
