Good choice to have him speak to the football team.  They can relate to each other.

Good call.  A Study in Purple, or something like that.

P.S.  When we're talking about 5 Heart Special Teams, that doesn't literally mean only 5 beating hearts on the field during a punt return.  You can (and should) play with 11 hearts.

Thanks.
I imagine you mean 55 hearts.

When you start throwing metaphors around Sean Snyder, he'll need his dad to burn another time out to figure out the literal meaning.  We only have so many timeouts.

At least we have a dedicated special teams coach now.

Have nothing new to add to the most recent Cosh bashing thread, but feel almost obligated to comment in any thread mentioning WKRP.  Especially since WKRP basically mirrors KSU football now with its nepotism & stubborness to change with the times.

From the article above:

Quote
Cosh said that Lamur, who also started at linebacker against Syracuse in the Pinstripe Bowl, continues to improve as he learns the position.

Will they be better than last year?  Probably.  They're more talented on paper than last year's group and they'll have more experience.  But it's not a stone cold lock the production will be significantly better this year.

Just thought it was interesting that two thirds of this 'upgrade' was already in place for the bowl game and got collectively ran over by a pedestrian, at best, Syracuse offense.

12
So, two thirds of this 'upgraded' LB corp was on the field and starting in the Pinestripe Bowl and managed to play a part in holding the 76th best rushing attack in college football to only 6 yards per carrry?  And the third piece of this puzzle so far averages an impressive 4.5 solo tackles per season?   :woot:

Wait, thought Judge* wasn't a McDonald's All American since he didn't actually play in the game?  Wasn't that your talking point a few years ago?  Now he's back on the team?  Congrats, Wally!  Crushing blow for KSU, though.

Kansas State Football / Re: Jim Leavitt/Fire LHC Bill Snyder Thread

The biggest problem out of all of this was only offering Jim the Co-DC job. Why not can Cosh's sorry ass and hand the reigns over to Leavitt? God damnit Snyder. :bang:

BTW, how much is Cosh fleecing the KSU and us on a yearly basis? Additionally - is there anyway we can convince ADJC to make his salary 100% performance based? He will effing quit after the first month of the season as he will not have enough to buy a case of Top Ramen.

Ignorance is probably bliss regarding what this staff makes, but what the heck...

So, the Snyder version of the Waffle House is only open during the midnight shift and basically only serves leftovers which were picked at but never eaten in any of the previous shifts?  Sounds like a solid business model.

20
Austin works for CJ.  He's really good.  I am not familiar with this guy.

Pretty sure Bisel was the CJ's KSU beat reporter before Meek.

21
Yes, because when I think of mental toughness & discipline, Dominique Sutton immediately comes to mind.

Who is to say Dom wouldn't have checked out too and contributed more momentum to the snowball of suck that was the second half of the second half?

At least Prince, even with the napkin contract, would cost at least $500K less than this steaming bowl of mediocrity. Who gives a crap about being mediocre?  And who wants to pay this much for it?

Besides the salary, beating KU, & not pissing off Brian Butler (and that well looks about as dry going forward as the DC Assault one), the main differences are relatively minor:

- Wheels falling off at the end of the season.  --- Check.
- Sub-standard defense --- Check.
- Ignore Texas HS recruiting --- Check.  (and Bill has direct DFW flights now in his fanny pack.)
- Can't retain (or replace with comparable quality) coordinators --- Check.

But, hey, we went to a bowl game.  So did ~70 other schools.  Most with head coaches who make way less, are more willing to make necessary changes, & have better futures than what we're currently employing to calm the waters.

What is sad is that penalty is going to be the primary tard talking point when discussing this game, instead the multitude of other self-inflicted wounds by Snyder & his merry band of lazy retards.

Still think we'll know plenty more right after the holiday break on what this team will be.  Martin & company have always made plenty of hay with the relaxed practice restrictions around this time.  Would be surprised if this year was any different.
