I'm honestly not sure how or to what extent to post this, or how to not be overly self-serving with it, but I've learned over the years that gratitude goes a long ways and you just gotta roll with it. I came out of the closet three years ago to ten of my closest friends; four of them were EMAW. As things progressed and I told more people, a disproportionate number of people in my corner (in a good direction) were not only K-Staters, but folks I met through this site. Although he wasn't among the very first, Metalhead was one of them, and I'm thinking of him a lot lately. No one wanted me to be more innately myself more than him. (He wants all of us to be our true selves too)
Please keep the love flowing, and please keep doing whatever you've done in the past for me moving forward to future Cats or Clones or whoever you cross paths. We're (unfortunately) still not out of the woods on LGBT issues in this region, but so much progress has been made, and for that I'm grateful. I'd have never imagined sending this post 11 years ago as I started BBS'ing with all of you. I really am grateful for the very unique relationship I've created with so many of you at K-State.
If any young posters in a similar spot I was in years ago ever need someone to reach out to, please do not be afraid to reach out to me. Lets keep the love, acceptance (and high level sports trash talk) going.
