More interested in the 2's and 3's.

Kansas State Football / GPC: Depth Chart.

Not sure if its speculative, a Fitz mirage or otherwise but they've updated the depth chart.

Nothing shocking, other than Evans not being listed, which I assume suggests he's still the dedicated nickle/flex DB.

Kansas State Football / Re: 2013 QB Competition: Sams vs. Waters
« on: February 22, 2013, 11:16:51 AM »
What I continue to worry about, is the evolution of Bill's offense and the QB run game pretty much ensures our guys under center are beat to hell by years end.   Dang, remember poor Dylan Myer?  I don't think we can expect Sams or Waters to be healthy for a whole year given what we do offensively.   Even if he starts on day one, Sams' build, while very athletic, is slight.   Maybe he is athletic enough to avoid clean hits, or maybe Bill will figure how to get him on the edge and in space in a cleaner/quicker fashion---boot/waggle type stuff.  But given our recent history, either way, I expect to see both.

The addition of Campbell to SLB would help tremendously.

I don't know why you're arguing this.  There are reasons why TW wasn't on the field as much as AB and Childs.  MLB doesn't come off during passing downs, for us SLB does.   If Tre is our best LB you want him on the field as much as possible, playing Mike, not Sam affords that opportunity.

Tre Walker doesn't play MLB. Also, Nate Jackson will start.

Walker is much better suited to play MLB than either outside spot.   What makes you think Jackson will just waltz in and lock down a starting corner spot ahead of the guys that have been here for years?

Walker is 220 or so lbs and he has a lot of speed. He is much more suited for OLB. I've just got a hunch for Jackson. There isn't much in front of him to beat out for a starting spot.

Arthur Brown is around 220 and has a lot of speed.

RB -- Hubert, Rose, Robinson

You've instantly lost all credibility with me by making this mistake

Yeah, Rose won't back up Hubes, but who will?

Wolf was my position coach for a brief period of time, what's been said about him is correct.  He's bright, high energy and can recruit.  I really liked the guy and would love to see him on the sidelines at KSU someday--he'll get his DI shot, no doubt.

White helmets and pants please.

I like your DC 'Hatter, however the tackles seem odd.

Don't you think Lucas is better suited at RT?  Even if not there yet athletically, he has the look of a mauling RT.   Seems to make more sense to have Lucas, Douglas, and Clement duke it out for RT.   Then depending on what happens with Foketi, we could see something like this:

Rooks -or-
Foketi

Foketi

Finney

Puetz

Lucas

These starters look pretty rugged.

Pretty sure posting a student's graded work is a violation of FERPA statutes.

I had countless student-athletes in my coures during my time teaching at KSU.  I can say without hesitation, that DEON MURPHY was the only one that ever worked my nerves.   What an obnoxious jack-wagon.

I went to a KS JC with former KU BB great *******  *******.  I am pretty sure he couldnt read.  Institutional control.   :bracketmouse:
