Jason Day's birdie on 18 pushed Streb from T-8 to T-9 for the tournament and dropped him to 71st in the FedEx.  Missed out by 2 points.  :frown:

Looks like I was wrong, this Willian/Chelsea thing appears to be real after Jose's comments today.  Sounds like Moses would be loaned out.  If Jose wants really wants him, that is good enough for me, I guess.

United fan here, fanning the flames between Spurs and Chelsea fans

We're told Chelsea in advanced talks over signing Willian. Deal close. Not done yet. #cfc

Likely leaked by Willian's agent or somebody close to him to speed up a deal or drive up potential wages from Spurs.  Wouldn't make any sense for Chelsea to bring him in.

Are you actually suggesting Chelsea don't buy players they don't need? They've done this so many times in the past.

Perhaps they have bought players they don't "need," but I don't recall them spending significant money on a player already in his prime that would be battling for a spot on the bench.

I still haven't been to WHL but think I'm gonna fix that soon.  spaces, did I ever tell you I got to go on a tour of old trafford many moons ago?  was pretty studly for HS senior tobias, but don't think I appreciated it as much as i shouldve as a young non-fan (unavoidable fanningbrag, sry)
planning on going to WHL for the north london derby in march this season :kstategrad:

possibly one of the last seasons that it'll be standing, which is a damn shame. gotta get my chance in while i can

That's pretty sweet.  I am waiting for the Champions League draw and then I might be making a trip to the Bridge in November or December. :crossfingers:

Chelsea vs. Roma confirmed for 8/10 in D.C.

It may have only been the Europa, but, like Scott said, winning is fun:

Crazy scenario where Chelsea and Arsenal will have a play-off to determine 3rd/4th place:

If Chelsea/Everton draw and Arsenal beats Newcastle by 1 while scoring 2 more goals than Chelsea does, the two teams will be even on points, goal diff and goals scored.  At which point a 39th match will be played to determine who gets the automatic UCL spot and who goes to qualification.

Just need to get 3 against Villa and have this settled before we go to Amsterdam.  Hope we can manage that...

Fantastic game

Since we are talking transfers, can we also discuss next year's EPL kits?

Like these from beauties from Liverpool:

Omg. What the...

The home kit isn't so bad I guess.

EPL doesn't have consistently attractive kits. They're pretty boring for the most part usually.

Garth says, "I like that one on the right."

Gross.

Chelsea is going to have great 1st(blue) and second kit(white) but do not like the 3rd kit(black) or the keeper kit(yellow and black) too much.

Too lazy to post pics and don't know how from my phone.

I like all the CFC kits.  Simple, classic look.  Generally, I like the 3rd kit to be a little more creative, but black is always good.

The Special One is the only one Chelsea needs.

IMO, Chelsea needs more than just him if you think you're going to win the title. You need another striker for starters.

Falc could come Lukaku could come back from loan, Piazon should come back from loan. We will buy a central midfielder and defender. We may spend a lot, we may not but we had a lot out on loan and as it stands now with the crap storm of a season we had we have the 2nd best GD of the whole league, while setting a record for games played in a campaign.

I think the Schurrle deal is pretty much done (unless Jose vetos) and that will help to give us a variety of options going forward.  If we do bring in a striker, I am hoping for Lewa or Cavani over Falcao (we need too much help in CM/CB to splash that much cash on Falcao).  Sending Kevin de Bruyne on loan to Dortmund to lessen the Lewa fee makes sense.  Lukaku is probably ready to come back, but if we get one of the big strikers I can see him spending another year at West Brom.  Piazon isn't ready for Chelsea's first team yet and I would rather see him stay on loan than play 2nd team minutes at CFC.  Essien coming back will help with depth in CM, but another top quality player is needed.

This is how I see the summer shaping up for CFC:
IN:  JOSE!, Schurrle, Lazar Markovic (go straight to loan), Essien (from loan), Elite Striker, Starting caliber CM (Moutinho/Alonso?), CB to pair w/ DL, Backup GK
OUT:  Marin (loan), Benayoun (free), Malouda (free), Ferreira (free), Turnbull (free), Hilario (free)
???: Lampard
