I can setup someone with access to espn3 if they want.  I will activate the remote with their espn login.

dude thanks for checking.  I'm not on campus, not really short on cash either.  May check into a slingbox, that I could use for multipurpose.  Once I get it figured out, I'll be sure to post where I am streaming.

thanks for everyone's input.

Purple Orb-

You are my hero,  I understand what you are saying, and yes all I need is a conversion box of some sort.  I will check into what you suggest, but if you find your old one please let me know and maybe we can work something out!!   THANKS AGAIN

PS   I currently use livestream and it works great as I don't have to man it, and can be doing other things while it streams.

I am not worried about the streaming, just physically getting the signal from the tv to my computer.

Unfortunately I have crappy Dish Network.  They have a usb but it is only for external storage, or so I have been told.  Anyone know if I can run a pass through on my camera, i.e. use the rca's as input into the camera then out the firewire to my computer??

Thanks again

Kansas State Basketball is hard / streaming - highlights

OK heres the deal.

I have quite a bit of resources available to me at the school I teach at that I could use to help stream k-state games.  I currently use a macbook pro to stream our high school football games, my question for you streaming guys and highlight makes.  How do you get the video out of your dvr/cable box/satelite receiver to your computer??  For Football I use the firewire out on my camera to connect to the computer input. Thanks

IMHO   One game does not always show who the better team is overall.  Thus an inferior team can win one any given night, does expanding to 96 really help us find the best team in the nation, or just put more money in the greedy NCAA's pocket.
