Seriously.  Grow the eff up.  Bitching about renderings that someone dug up from some random website is just that side of respected.  eff, you guys talk all sorts of crap about how KC has nothing on other major cities but you choose to bitch about the choice of an Atlanta firm with SEC ties?  Do you guys seriously ever think about what you say, ever?  JFC.  And Dax, you're the worst of the worst.  Every single time KSU actually enjoys some success, you try your best to tear it down.  You're only happy when you're proven right that your team and school of choice is failing.  Man, what does that say about you?  Also-  how can you BBS while wearing the gimp costume?

It's important to note that the ultimate plan at KSU is likely much larger than the press box - multiple phases including updates to the entire stadium over several years, with the west side being just the first phase.  Those are the rumblings I've heard, FWIW.

Heery has worked on projects like this many times - UT, Maryland, Arkansas, Clemson.  Look through their portfolio, and you'll see a lot of schools with similiar long-term facililty goals as KSU (supposedly) that ended up with great looking stadiums.  Maybe that experience is what helped push them over Populous.  Obviously Populous is a great firm, but when the full plans are announced, it might make sense why Heery was hired. 

Just my two cents.  Either way, hope this turns out the best for K-State.  And if not, I'll be right there on the anti-ADJC bandwagon.

A "boatload of people" are recruiting Diaz, Rodriguez said, including Syracuse, Kansas State, Alabama, Florida International and FAU. There are many other programs that will probably get involved because there aren't many 7-footers like him who can get up and down the court so well.

"I could probably tell you 25 or 30 (colleges)," Rodriguez said. "Who doesn't want a kid who can run and jump like that?"

maybe I'm wrong, but wouldn't he likely seek admission to any grad school he may end up at.    He's only got a week to hit campus, he needs to make sure he can get into school whereever he may land.   I'm not sold this signifies his final choice.

Good report.  The billboard sounds pretty barren (assuming all the Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) stuff is gone)

it also has something like "season tickets on sale now" to take the place of the redneck stuff

One good one, Said K-state like the old school Snyder, with a powercat right below the collar. At least that's the one I thought was the best... Two of them were horrible with K-State plastered 7 times in a row.

the one with the powercat and K-State right below it was the only one even remotely attractive.  all the others......

Really surprised that bookstores can stay in business with the internet so easily accessible these days.  Bookstore tried to charge me 120 for a 15 dollar book this summer.  Suck it Varneys.

yeah checked varneys and they are way more expensive.

anyone ever use "annotated" textbooks? i guess they are the same as usual with extra notes/answers
