Actually, 14 officially leaving not 13. Also, a handful of others waiting to see what transpires before deciding. BID is getting closer.

I'm surprised you could even form a coherent thought when this post was made...

 :sdeek:
Yeah, funny you mention that...a slow, uneventful evening often leads to late night posts on family blogs.

watershed and twobiz are great. maybe the same poster , but great. also, banks dad just seems like a normal gen x helicopter parent. the only thing he didn't really do his due diligence on is that kstate (dimel) was not going to allow his kid to come in and immediately start playing. that's just not the way they work it. i'm sure he can pass but by description he's always seemed to be a bit of a klein/roberson passing project and the longer dimel has been in charge, the more away from the run and especially the qb run we have gotten. banks seems like a decent kid though and i wish him the best. juco and then resigning is his best option.
Haha...not the same. BP can verify. Plausible DS helps direct JB to MSU but JB will have some other options.

Even Daniel Sams knows things aren't right

Yep, and Daniel was exhibit A of the dysfunctional "family". The cracks in the ceiling were obvious then but they've only got bigger (much bigger) since, unfortunately.

Our guy is down in Daytona at a pro training facility working out as a slot receiver. Great great person with a big heart.

Guys, what happens when 5 hearts isn't enough?
What is a 5 heart anyway? Aren't only 4 chambers in a heart, 2 A and 2 V?
The AV node?
Could also be 4 chambers plus an LVAD....just sayin.

Players fed up as they don't like recent changes to off-season training regimen, which has been ratcheted up from previous years and previous years it was already tough.

People in Vanier sense change of some sort is in the air with at least several assistants...no real coaching activity or leadership since their return from break.

Before you all start gnashing teeth, tearing clothes and wearing burlap (read your bible for the reference) here is what has been talked about in ITK circles:

1. There will be at least one coordinator retiring.
2. Jim Levitt is a name widely believed to be filling a spot.
3. People who had attended the ground breaking of the NE corner were openly talking at the WVU game about a gentlemen agreement with Brent Venables already a done deal. No time line. Brent is happy where he's at, what he's making, where his son is playing HS football. He's in no rush, but DOES want to coach the Cats when Bill hangs up the windbreaker.
4. Bill is reportedly on board. Sean will be held over to the new staff doing what he does now. Title may change, may not.
5. Bill is not going anywhere until he hits 200 wins, health willing. He set a goal and damn it he's going to show those youngsters that you don't give up on goals. After he hits 200, he'll actually sit down and map out and exit, not until then.
6. If Bill does leave/die mid season, Currie will only give the interim title to a coach with head coach credentials, like Dimel...or any other coordinator that might (might) come on staff with prior HC experience.

Not a lot to add to this but one important variable change since the post on number 5 regarding " after 200 he'll actually sit down and map out an exit, not until then ".....the sitting down and mapping out has already occurred. Short on details but confirm that there is at least a solid map.

By map you mean Sean?

Definitely not. Not sure if serious but I gave you a serious response, not withstanding.

Offer extended to Cerritos DT, Raymond Price.

He is scheduled to visit next weekend.

Visits Eastern Michigan this weekend, who has offered.

Other interest (but no offer, yet) is Texas State.

Exhibit A to: i) Coach's ineffective recruiting strategy ii) his older staff of asst's that really don't want to pick up the phone or hop a plane to rural Texas and iii) finally, just an overall lack of enthusiasm and energy being invested by the current regime, as a whole.

Noted on facebook page, says former offensive line coach at Kansas State, news here or facebook goof?

I haven't heard this but wouldn't be shocked. There will likely be at least one other assistant that takes his talents elsewhere next year. Not referring to Hayes or Mo.

Love the guy, but Coach needs to be paying attention to all these signs.....This past season with a plethora of different issues, the upcoming horrible yield on the recruiting efforts and a fair amount of discontent among the staff are all signaling "it's time".

About the only thing I'm sure of is kstate has talked a bunch with leavitt. I think the rest is just a rumor circle of people repeating a bunch of the same crap to each other and then they end up hearing it from multiple different people who have all shared the same stuff with the same people.

There have definitely been talks with BV (his people). Now the details and frequency of a those talks could absolutely be circular board rumor.

13
The Blackcats rumor is that Venables will be the next HC.  He never said anything about HCIW.

It's the donors that are talking right now.  What I'm guessing, based on that, is that Currie and the donors may be having one dialog, and Bill is doing his own thing.

No matter what happens, I doubt that this is going to end cleanly and simply with Currie and Bill on the same page.

Exactly right....if this oppty has recently evaporated than it will be due to cold feet. Specifically, due to equivocation regarding a fixed retirement timeline.

The new normal will be many more embarassing defeates where we don't have the athletes and cobbled together .500 seasons.

The Structure needs a new coat of paint and a new rough, and probably an engineering inspection of the foundation.   Sadly, the elderly owner is trying to outlast the whipper snapper next door with the new BMW and the solar panels and won't be browbeat into making any changes or moving into a retirement facility.

Printing this out and using at my next K-State cocktail party. Literary genius right here. Pulitzer Prize in your future.

I think we can all agree that even though there was a lot of bad, there was a lot of good. At the start of the season if you told me wedbe going in to conference play with only 2 losses and those 2 losses were to 2 top 25 teams that we really should have won, I would have laughef at you. I know your level of hate for Weber is off the charts, but the dude has some how scrapped together a semi decent team with young talent that could kill it in the next couple years. It may be an ugly year going forward, but it'll be good experience for the young guys who will lead us to success the next couple years.

I completely agree with this. Major upside surprise but also partly due to oscar cleverly setting expectations remarkably low by eviserating last year's team. Lost 80% of our scoring from LY.

Weber's big challenge is keeping a certain player eligible this semester.

for the great effort against a mentally, physically, and spiritually superior team.

You guys haven't exactly been accommodating to the Arkansas fans who wanted nothing more than to come in here and talk football and X's and O's with you.

It's a shame you didn't try. You might have learned something.

Stereotype confirmed!

If they kick a starting DL off for some pot we deserve every ass kicking we take.

Happened to a DB earlier this season...

You know nothing.

Oh really...care to elaborate?

Steroids are the sixth heart on the 5 heart scale.  Above and beyond.

This is due to more the recreational variety. Will is a great kid that is currently struggling with a serious problem. He had a very tough spring as we know losing his Grandfather and Dad within a few months.

I seriously love the priceless satire and wit on this board as much as anyone (it's why I've been a long time read-only visitor and jumped in to become a poster more recently) but the young guy needs our best thoughts.

There is a question if he will remain on the team.

PigAggie Athletics: Now having such little success a win over a 6-6 team is considered huge.

They get to play in a bowl game this year and something about the players getting new uniforms for the occasion. Same sort of giddy as you'd see if they just updated the spoiler on their '80's era Trans Am.

Just watch, if they were to win this trivial scrimmage their attempts to claim some sort of victory on a non-affiliated blog will just confirm the sad stereotype one has about people from Arkansas.

He went to Topeka High, right?   :dunno:

Yep.  Had him as a student for a couple of years.

I would like to see some confirmation on this one (surprised, if so, we haven't heard anything on this until now, un-sourced).

True...just confirmed it.

Grade your source.

Is this a 1-10 or A, B, C exam? Either way they "Ace" the test!

Kellis says Snyder will return in 2016

Nice scoop

I heard the same presser Kelliis did and there was nothing different said than what Bill's been saying the last six weeks. Has no newi plans for the future but will sit down with his family after the season and evaluate at that point. May be back but there's still a small hedge there.

Kellis certainly wouldn't be the guy Bill would let break this story.
