Leave it to oscar to steal the focus of my righteous anger (and bewilderment) from the K-whoodlum players and claim ownership of the award for “most idiot crap said in a presser following an uncalled for brawl after an embarrassing blow out basketball game.”

I think coach is learning that football in Big12 might be a bit different than “just football” in...wherever the fck he came from.

2. We were never going to have a great hire in hand because Snyder refused to make this a smooth transition. If he wasn’t so stubborn/borderline senile he could have said at the beginning of the season this is his last one and we could have actually locked up a contract before this week.

^^^ This.
If BS 2.0 holding the program hostage is ultimately responsible for this fail-to-hire, then he deserves nothing but disdain, and not the ball-sucking that he is actually getting from all of the ignorant, mediocrity-loving KSU fans, blubbering in their soup over all the Bill-cult sap.
Additionally, it makes him no different from any other rich old white man in the country, believing the he/they alone know best what should become of those that follow behind him/them, rather than allowing the next generation (if you will) the respect and courtesy of determining their own destiny.

Fini.

I wish he would have left on an upbeat so that I COULD have had a reason to feel sentimental.  As it is, I just think he became like any other old phuck...losing his filter and finer points of cognition, in favor of supreme entitlement. All signs of ego-centrism that has been, in no small part, enabled by all the KSU’ers that could find no fault with him, EVER.

Whew I'm relieved other fans are also not sad about this. To me it's more sad that he has no life outside of football and wanted to keep coaching moreso bc he doesn't know how to live apart from it. I hope he finds contentment in retirement.
^^^ This. I remember pre-Bill well, so I’m glad we got past that. But I was always flummoxed by the overall poor post season performance of his teams - yeah, we got some bowls, finally, but messed a lot of those games up.
Also, I read he’s going to continue to have an “advisory” role in the ath dept, so he’ll still be around.

The viewpoint that dissenting opinions are invalid simply because there should be no questioning of a coach (or leader) are dangerous. No matter how great they have been...no one should ever be above reproach.

Wispy old man in his poofy oversized windbreaker looks like an inflatable scarecrow with no emotions.
He looks like a walking cadaver. Cancer’s a bitch. But no excuse if you decide to keep the job.

Lemme tell ya something.
I don’t give a flying f#ck about all the “Bill is above reproach” and Family-this and Family-that Bullsh!t when it sucks this hard. Someone’s got to swallow the gravy, and it isn’t the dedicated fans who want better than this hullabaloo-for-a-season garbage I tuned in to today. The FB staff are paid to WIN GAMES and turn out better than this.
Enough is enough.

Yeah. The team is young...so that’s good. Problem is, this coach will never leave.

Exactly. This - to me - isn’t so much about our players, but BW’s inability to take the team into a game like this and lead them to a win. Just the way I see it. Hope they can turn it around in the second half.

I think he legitimately believes that he's good at what he does and wants to keep doing it for a long time.
I think you’re right. Of course, this does not make me like him, nor do I find it - in the  grand scheme - a good thing, because what it really means is that he LACKS INSIGHT.
Which I can’t respect.

I should also say, to be fair, that while I’m not a fan of hugg’s and frank’s personalities, per se, I did find it easier to have some measure of respect for them both in the way their teams played and produced (especially now). I just really struggle to find that same kind of respect for BW - wait. I can’t find it. Even though he’s winning. And it’s not because he runs a clean program - I actually like that (there. That’s my one thing...I guess). I just don’t like HIM, winning or not.

huggins and martin blamed the players all the time. some of you guys are edgetards being edgetards.
I didn’t say I liked them, either. And I’m not a guy, phucktard. (Hmmm. There goes any street cred I might have had...)

I like how much he seems to care during games.
It appears to me that what he cares about is saving his own ass. Not saying that most don’t, but hard to respect a coach so willing to throw his own players under the bus with any loss just to try and save his own face.

He’s a very generous person and always passes blame to his players instead of keeping it all to himself.
