Kansas State Football / Re: Tailgate food (AU edition)
« on: September 17, 2014, 03:15:08 PM »
Our tailgate cooks what our visiting team eats so we are showing respect to our guests and cooking up some good old Cajun food. Muffulettas, red beans and rice, Etc. Maybe jello bourbon shots and some red wine!

You?

You do realize that you are not playing LSU.

Kansas State Football / Re: They are here

This really is the saddest fan site I have ever visited. I have never seen the constant belittling that you all spout out in my life. I know one of you goobs will have something to say but it will just further show how sad you are. Enjoy the football, enjoy the pageantry of the game and respect the opponent. Every Auburn fan I  talk to has been really looking forward to this game and many of them to their first and maybe only trip to Manhattan. Auburn travels well and treats the home city very well. I'm not saying we don't have our bad fans but I can promise what the poster said to start this thread isn't true. Some of you really need to get out of KS every now and then.

I would take Auburn's 2013 season over anything KSU has ever done. You had your shot a few years ago and carped all over yourselves.  :'bye cruel world:

The great Auburn snub of 2004 was pretty funny. Or was it 2005? Doesn't matter now. Of course, this was before the SEC put its marketing team to work to convince people that their conference is worth a crap.

You crack me up. I guess all of the winning in the field, court, diamond, pool, course and any other playing surface you can thing of doesn't mean anything?

Amazing what a couple lucky breaks will do for a fanbase that's never experienced any sustained succes... Wow, really?

http://www.tigersx.com/forum

I didn't realize that anyone could be as delusional as Texas fans and have less accomplishments.

I just hope that they are at least as good as Iowa State because I will be there in person and will be very upset if things do not go my way.

Anyone game for getting banned from that hack of a forum? I'm betting we could get some of them pissed off enough to come over here for a real skull raping.

In all seriousness, I highly doubt any Auburn player is looking past KSU and would highly doubt KSU players are looking past Auburn. I sort of see the same as the Michigan bowl game with a close first quarter and K-State wearing that ass out with the Waters to Lockettt game in the second half. However, I don't think Auburn has a clue on defense but apparently their QB is pretty good. I'm thinking the sooner the D-Line puts the dude on his back the better.

No sustained success? Auburn is 13th in all time wins, bowl appearances 16th, bowl wins 12th, 2 NCs with several others that can be claimed. This while being traditionally the #2 school in a small state and while also playing it the arguably the toughest conference over the past 30 years. That doesn't include the undefeated seasons. It also doesn't include all of the individual players success.

Lets talk next Friday.

Find a cheap route to MHK?  :driving:

Too bad the game is on Thursday, CHBud.   :gocho:

"Too bad the game is on Thursday, CHBud.   :gocho:"       Seriously Clark? I did not realize that.

A big part of K-State's land grant mission from the inception of the university was to bring education to all of the people of Kansas.  The minimal admission standards for the first 150 years intentionally enabled individuals to be able to earn a college degree if they worked hard enough for it.  The first class in 1863 had 52 students:  26 men and 26 women.  Since this was in the midst of the Civil War, it was difficult for everyone to finish in four years, needless to say.  However, the first graduating class in 1867 was 2 men and 3 women.  Yep, women were the majority of the first graduating class at K-State.

The first male black graduate was in 1899.
The first female black graduate was in 1901.

I don't have the exact statistics and dates at my fingertips, but Kansas State was one of the few universities in America to admit blacks to the College of Veterinary Medicine. Until the Tuskegee School of Veterinary Medicine opened in the 1940's, K-State had graduated approximately 50% of the black veterinarians in the entire United States.  The history of the Tuskegee Vet school is rich with collaborations with and leadership of Kansas State graduates.

I have a feeling that many institutions with "higher standards" have a history filled with exclusions of females and minorities being denied admission simply because they weren't white males.

That is a great thing KSU has done in providing an opportunity to those that may otherwise not have been able to get. I think KSU is a great institution, I was responding  to multiple posts suggesting that all Alabamians and Auburn alum were stupid.

The New Joe Montgomery Birther Pit / Re: Obama ISIS speech
« on: September 11, 2014, 09:10:21 PM »
In are in major trouble. Our president has shown he has zero idea what foreign policy means. He didn't have any experienced when he was elected and it has shown.

ISIS is a huge threat to the Middle East and unfortunately will soon pose a grave threat to our national security. We would be naive to believe that terrorist have not, are not and will not cross what is supposed to be our southern border.

I thought I clicked on the "serious K-state v Auburn score prediction thread (no horsing around) and then I ended up in this place. Most of you can't be serious that have KSU blowing out Auburn.

Roll Snyd. Is that the best you guys could come up with? Don't run down the great LHC Bill Snyder. He is too good of a coach and meant too much to you.

Do you all have your parents approval to be posting in the middle of day? Seriously though, you all sound like a bunch of children. When you don't have a point to make or can't refute another's you resort to childish name calling and such. Maybe it is just your way of coping with living on a farm (no offense to real farmers. They are one of the backbones of America) and having a crappy football program. Look at that, now you have sucked me into it.

Hello CHB,
I would like to welcome you to GE; you seem like a perfect fit for this blog.
Oh yeah, here's to a great game (and  :crossfingers: no one gets hurt).   :beersmiley:

A psychiatrist would have a field day in this place.

i would ask "hey are you ok? sorry to embarrass you so much by punching you so hard in front of your lady friend. here, let me help you up off the ground."

I bet you feel like Mike Tyson behind that keyboard.

18
Oh and since you all still like to bring up race relations, how is the Brown family of Topeka, KS doing? Quick someone go Google it so you can even figure out who I'm talking about.

19
I don't know where you get that Alabamians are all poor welfare recipients. While there is a large percentage of those on welfare the majority of the population is comprised of hardworking tax paying Americans. The majority of the state's population leans to the right which historically is against the current entitlement programs.

While you can bash a number of the "sidewalk" fans (mainly UA fans)  for their lack of education you have no grounds to bash the alum of any of the state schools. Speaking more specifically about Auburn,  we have many distinguished alum. Maybe you have heard of Tim Cook just to name one. Auburn also consistently ranks as one of the top 50 of America's public universities.

Lets talk next Friday.

Ya'll are pathetic. Hope you enjoy the 55-24 beat down coming your way.
