This lowlife Auburn bastard has been holding out on us.  I suppose he thought he could get away with this:
An Auburn freshman O-lineman is so imposing they call him Drago
The best news for Auburn: Smith actually has a chance to contribute at guard or tackle in his freshman season. "We're going to give him a shot and see if he can get in the mix," coach Gus Malzahn said. "As a freshman, that's hard to do in our league, but he does have the physical ability to do it."
i already posted he is starting katdaddy, who do you trust?
In no way does this little excerpt from an article claim he'll be starting, only that he will get a chance to contribute. We rotate lineman frequently so the odds of him playing in some capacity is very likely.

...minus our left tackle whom just recovered from cancer.

I believe you meant to say, "...minus our left tackle who just recovered from cancer."
And that is why I'm not majoring in anything involving the english language...

I just looked at Auburn's 2013 schedule. They didn't play in a single environment that a rational college football fan would consider hostile. This is going to be their first true test as a road team in a hostile environment since the 2011 season where they played at Clemson.

WarEagle144 how do you expect the team to respond?
I think LSU and TAMU were pretty hostile no? I believe the team will be ready for KSU!

No they weren't actually. We have a 31 game home winning streak in tact currently, I doubt those other schools come close.
Wait that can't be right didn't you guys lose to north dakota st?

So what would guys say is your team's biggest strength/weakness? I'd have to say our strength is the o-line and our weakness is definitely the secondary.

You do realize you lost the entirety of the left side of your OL to graduation/injury and you were just pimping the #1 rated juco safety a few posts back, right?

 :dubious:

Our strength is Willie's pre-game mid-field tackle.
Our weakness is finding a fake mascot for the other team that can take a hit.
this is braden smith, pretty sure he is just a bi fp and tc....he is projected to start at LT and i hope we destroy his stupid ass

Actually the guy on the left is gonna be our LT. Braden is gonna be good one but he won't be starting this year, most likely next year.

I mean we moved our right guard to the left and all of our projected starters have had quality sec experience minus our left tackle whom just recovered from cancer. I recognize that our secondary will most likely still be our weakness even with the addition of the safety.

Biggest strength would be the tailgating.
Biggest weakness would be a tie between the north video board and the sound system.
I feel ya on the sound system, ours is still stuck in the 90s.

does our official slogan "ROLL SNYD" (as seen on the tshirt above) just make you do backflips with blind seething rage?
It doesn't bother me, but if you were playing the bammers that would be another story.

welcome wareagle, should be a pretty good game.  i am a little worried we will have trouble keeping jake from being sacked. that carl lawson guy is pretty good.
Carl Lawson is actually out for the season with a torn ACL... Some of the players have hope that he can return by like week 8 but I'm not seeing it. I say just rest up, redshirt, and get ready for next season.

Hey guys Auburn man here! I always like to go to opponent's boards and discuss the upcoming games, all in good fun of course ;). Just wanted to see what you guys think of the game and how its gonna play out. Hopefully we can have some good, heated arguments before all hell breaks loose on Sept 18!
Thanks for stopping by, wareagle144. I really enjoyed my trip there back in the day. Good ppl.
I'm glad you liked Auburn! I wish I could go up to Manhattan to see the game, but you know class and all...

I'm excited to see how our Wildcats fare against last year's 86th ranked defense.  The only team we played last year with a worse defense was ku, so I'm not sure we'll be able to move the ball against the Eagles.

We haven't had a 2 win or less season since 1989, so have forgotten what it's like to be that awful...  What was 2012 like?
There is nowhere to go but up for our defense and we do return 7 starters as well as signing the #1 JUCO safety this past year so I think we'll be alright. As 2012, I try not to think about that train wreck lol.

Usually am kinda bored with all the cupcakes we schedule for non-con.  Happy to be playing an early conference game (ISU), though, so it's sort of a trade-off.
I'm with you on that one! Typically we don't play conference teams week 1 but we are this year for some strange reason. Its a good warm-up though for the season ahead, especially since its against Arkansas.

do your fans still tee-pee all the trees, and say war eagle, and burn crosses and junk?
we still roll the trees after every win and greet everyone with a "war eagle", but I'm pretty sure we're not a cult or anything like that lol

welcome to our board auburn fan!

we're all pretty good sports around here and super knowledgable when it comes to college football.  How do you think your team will do with a new qb this year?  Personally I thought Tahj Boyd was underrated so I think he'll be tough for you guys to replace, what do you think?

welcome again pal!
Uh wrong tigers there man haha! Boyd was on Clemson, we have a returning starter in Nick Marshall!
