I thought it was a good idea at the time but Now that I'm thinking about it more people would definitely abuse it and send a penny just to say mean things to that person. "Xyz venmo'd you 0.01, comment - You rough ridin' suck, hold on to the ball you **************************"

I would love to see us dump a crap load of $$$ into an Olympic sport (comparatively speaking) and become dominant in that sport. I don't even care what it is - just pick one and go all-in (times 10).

I mean, Youngstown State won the 2025 NCAA bowling championship. Their head coach makes $50,000 a year. We couldn't spend $1 million a year and completely own that? Same thing with rifle, beach volleyball (ocean adjacent TCU just won that), water polo, etc, etc.
Wrestling probably has the most local talent but lol @ the suggestion that it would draw more popularity than baseball

The more storied wrestling programs in this nation (Iowa, OSU, Penn State, NC State, Michigan) do it easily so it's not even a new precedent, especially considering our baseball team has not been historically that good. Hell, Iowa State averages over 6,500 at their home wrestling meets and drew over 14,000 when they hosted Iowa. Back when they had a baseball team, the best numbers I can find suggest an average attendance of 4,000 people. Nebraska regularly draws over 6,000 to wrestling and averages 4,500 to their baseball games. Mizzou averages over 3,000 for wrestling and 1,500 for home baseball games. Tointon still doesn't average over 2,000 for our home games in the last decade, and that number is above our historical average.

There is no evidence to indicate that if we were to become the only D1 wrestling program in the state that we would not follow a similar path to our regional counterparts and regularly have a higher attendance for wrestling than we would for baseball.
I admittedly do not have numbers to refute you but I still find the suggestion improbable.

Wrestling fans are a thing.  they're real and they're terrifying.

When everyone is buying modular systems, the real money is in supplying quality backbones to said systems, aka backplane boards.

We've got a modular systems knower here folks.

If you're 401k is looking a little sick in recent weeks, the prescription has just arrived!  Masters golf blessed this investor in 2025 and i've been looking somewhere to re-invest that windfall.  I check draftkings and voila - Cats football futures are available! Boys, I have no idea where these clowns are coming up with these odds.  Investment opportunities abound:

K-State to win Dr.Pepper in 2025: +500 (!!!!!!)

K-State to win Natty in 2025: +10000 (you're telling me you don't have $100 to win $10,000?)

Cats are currently only a 3.5 pt favorite against the cyclones in IRELAND!  Our guys literally train for American Football in a building named the SHAMROCK PRACTICE FACILITY!  :ksu:

This post has been read (as of this moment) 293 times.  That's 293 more men who now know just how critical a backplane board is to any modular system.  Thank you OP, your service will not be forgotten.  Send bob and vagene.

help me out

No clue.  this is what ChatGPT 4.0 thought:

Name-based:

Vagish is actually a real name of Indian origin — it means "Lord of speech" (a name of Lord Brahma).

So "Vagish N." could be someone named Vagish with a last name starting with N.

Spiritual/philosophical reference:

"Vagishn" could be a shortened form or stylization of a Sanskrit word or philosophical term.

Initials or Brand Combo:

It could be an acronym or vanity brand name. Like "VA" (Virginia?) + "GISHN" (initials or stylized nickname).

😬 Less Innocent Reads:
"VAGI-SHN" – Slangy/Edgy Interpretation:

Looks a lot like a creative spelling of "vagician" (yes, that’s a term people use online sometimes 😅).

Or maybe "vagician" minus the vowels: VAGISHN ? "vag-ician".

For those that haven't seen it, they're installing the new fields

K-State moved pretty quick on this, they must not have been at all pleased with the Field Turf, which as mentioned had only been in for 3 years in all 3 facilities . . . well short of the usual life expectancy.

Kinda wild we went from like never replacing the turf to now we do it almost as an afterthought. I get the shittiness of it but more speaking to how much more $$ we have to play with.

Whenever we tear out our almost-new turf to replace it with the current top-of-the-line, I feel like we should donate the old stuff to one of the poors like KU or UMASS.

If you're reading any news that comes from the Kansas House floor, you can guarantee that every person involved is the dumbest human being you'll be exposed to for the week.  That is a non-partisan observation.

gundy fired his oc and dc
That seems so chicken crap, by both Gundy and the AD.

I don't think you can fire Gundy from OSU after one bad season, no matter how gnarly it has been.

The trends are strongly pointing to last year being the greater outlier. No one saw Arizona State going worst to first, but there were signs of life. Oklahoma State has no momentum at all, anywhere, even their recruiting sucks, 10th in the conference for the '25 class, and we already know his disdain for the transfer portal.

Oh I don't disagree.  I think he'll be gone in the near future.  I'm not really a Gundy fan, I just think the nature of his tenure there precludes firing him after one awful season.  He honestly seems like he's given up.

The consensus in raytown and grandview is that they won 3 more but turned down the bowl.  The score is not always indicative of the result

Could someone please let Draftkings know?

Crap like that is one of many reasons I left twitter

Cats twitter is almost as embarrassing as Utah twitter.

21
people talking like there is nothing left to play for have obviously not been looking at Cats player props.  Last regular season game to make some solid investments in our future.  really, really feel a win coming tonight both for our cats, and this cat investor.  couple nice little prop bets I put together.  I'd welcome any hot tips from the group to close out regular season action.  good luck everyone.

I read this like it was being sung by Outkast in Hey Ya and I sure hope that is how it was intended.
